Exploratory drilling 150mm dia. of boreholes in dry area up to a maximum depth of 12.00m or up to refusal, whichever met earlier, by percussion method in all type of overburden soil excluding rock, with skilled labours, technical manpower, tools & plants, equipment, machineries, lead & lift, installation of casing pipe and all other items necessary for drilling as required. Refusal shall be defined when ‘N’ value reached 100 for penetration of 300mm @ Three Location : (a) OFFR (13 Qtrs) = (i) 03 Block of 04 Qtrs(D/S) (ii) 01 block of 01 Qtr (S/S) (b) JCOs (14(Qtrs) = (i) 02 Block of 06 Qtrs (T/S) (ii) 01 Block of 02 Qtrs(S/S) (c) ORs Qtr(128 Nos) = (i) 08 Block of 16 Qtrs

Collection of Undisturbed soil samples from all boreholes at intervals of 3.0 meter in depth and at every change of strata from borehole.

Conducting Standard Penetration test (S.P.T) as per relevant IS specification in the boreholes at an interval of 1.50 meter in depth and at every change of strata from borehole.

Carrying out necessary tests as per relevant IS codes on all collected samples which include the determination of :- a) Natural Moisture contents as per IS b) Specific gravity test (fine grained soil) as per IS c) Specific gravity test (coarse grained soil) as per IS d) Grain Size Analysis as per IS e) Hydrometer Analysis as per IS f) Liquid Limit as per IS g) Plastic Limit as per IS h) Shrinkage Limit as per IS j) Unconfined Compressive Test as per IS k) Tri-axial Compression Test (UU) as per IS l) Direct Shear Test as per IS m) Consolidation Test as per IS n) Free swell Index as per IS o) Conducting chemical analysis of ground water sample p) Conducting chemical analysis of soil samples. q) Measurement of Ground Water Level after completion of each borehole and collection of water samples from each borehole, minimum 1 ltr. each

Preparation and submission of Report (one Draft copy and two originals) giving recommendations for type of foundation, analysis of bore logs & tests results along with SBC values and calculations in approved format for the alignment including stations.

Notes : - (i) Rate includes all items of works necessary for carrying out complete soil exploration work, collection of sample, testing at NABL Accredited Labs and field test results and submission of four sets reports. (ii) Rate incudes for submission of detailed recommendation for shallow foundation and bearing capacity of soil (SBC) at every 0.5 meter depth type of foundation and depth of footing be clearly specified and its calculation. (iii) In case very week soil stata is encountered, recommendation about pile foundation i.e. type, dia, depth of pile, safe load carrying capacity and socketing of pile into hard rock shall be clearly given in the report also measures for ground improvement if required be included in the report safe bearing capacity shall be worked out based on N value, shear failure and settlement criteria. (iv) Rate includes for mobilisation of mechanical drilling equipment/rig and shifting of entire arrangement as required/directed by Engr-in-charge. (v) Rate includes Shifting of equipments from one bore to another hole location and setting of boring/drilling rig as required/directed by Engr-in-charge.
