Periodical maintenance by way of repair/replacement of worn-out components of horizontal split casing type pump of Unit No. 10 Jyoti make and Unit No. 11 Flowmore make having 17 cusecs discharge, 50.5 mtr. head, coupled with 450 HP, slip ring type HT motor installed at LIS Lakhanpur(as per scope of work Annexure c of SBD)Decoupling both the pumps from 450 HP slip ring type HT motors. Opening the top cover then Unbolting the bearing housings and extracting out the shaft assemblies for replacement of vital components of assemblies. Lifting and shifting the pump assemblies with the help of the EOT crane and loading & transporting both the shaft assemblies to the firm’s workshop.( One Job) Dismantling all the components from both shaft/pump assemblies such as coupling pulley, impeller, impeller rings, shaft protection sleeves, collar, spacer sleeves, sleeve nuts, O-rings, water deflector, stuffing box bushings, lantern rings, bearings at workshop etc. .( One Job) Repairs to the damaged stainless shaft (SS-410) of the pump UnitNo. 11 Flowmore make by rebuilding the shaft at various spots including damaged threaded portion and key way by depositing SS material at worn out spots by welding with SS electrodes, turning, grinding, and finishing to the required dimensions and re-threading at the requisite place to fit chuck nuts. Fabrication of new key way and providing of new key so that the shaft and impeller get properly aligned. Removing the eccentricity developed in the shaft with the help of heat treatment & press bench. .( One Job) Providing and fitting of 02 No. new shaft sleeves fabricated out of bronze material and as per sample provided in place of the worn out one to Pump No. 10 Jyoti make. .( One Job) Providing and fitting of 02 no. new lantern rings as per sample fabricated out of bronze material in place of damaged one to Unit No. 10. .( One Job) Providing and fitting of 04 Nos. new chuck nuts (02 No. each on the driving and non-driving end) fabricated out of stainless steel (SS-410) material to Pump No. 11 Flowmoremake having internal threads in place of the old and worn-out ones. The size of the chuck nuts should as per the sample provided. .( One Job) Providing and fitting of 02 nos. new bearing 6317 ZZ in place of damaged one at DE & NDE to Pump No. 11 Flowmore make (to be provided by the department). .( One Job) Cleaning properly the bearing housing of Pump No. 10Jyoti make and then providing and fitting of 02 nos. roller bearing 22218 k along with bearing sleeves along with 01 no. lock nut and 01 no. bearing cover plate. .( One Job) Assembling all components on the shaft of Pump No. 11 Flowmore make such as impellers collar, wearing rings, shaft protection sleeves, o- rings, spacer sleeves, chuck nut, lantern rings. Shifting back the shaft assembly to Lift Irrigation Station and then placing pump assembly in the lower casing of the Pump No. 11. Providing and fitting of the gland packing set. Making proper alignment with motor fitting top cover by providing and fitting of new studs in place of damaged one. Coupling pump and motor by providing and fitting new coupling bolts with bushes and nuts(coupling bolts and nuts along with rubber bushes to be provided by the department). .( One Job) Assembling all components on the shaft of Pump No. 10 Jyoti make such as impellers collar, wearing rings, shaft protection sleeves, o- rings, spacer sleeves, chuck nut, lantern rings. Shifting back the shaft assembly to Lift Irrigation Station and then placing the pump assembly in the lower casing of the Pump No. 10.Providing and fitting of the gland packing set. Providing and fitting of new studs in place of damaged one. (coupling bolts and nuts along with rubber bushes to be provided by the department). .( One Job) Correction of misalignment of Jyoti make Pump of Unit No. 10 and coupled motor by way of making by way of dismounting complete pump assembly from base frame it may involve cutting of suction/delivery pipe, levelling of pump and motor on base frame and center aligning both shafts of motor and pump checking misalignment of shaft such as parallel, angular and axial misalignment and correct it by providing appropriate size of shims and using proper tools and tackles such as straight edge and dial indicator, spirit level ,feeler gauge etc. finding soft foot if any and fix it by adding shims and remove pipe strains if any by strengthening supports and tightening loose nuts and bolts after proper alignment couple motor and pump using coupling bolts. Complete job includes cost of material and labour charges, charges for tools and tackles required for execution of job including testing motor and pump on load. .( One Job)
