COMPREHENSIVE AND PREVENTIVE MAINT OF DG SETS 3x500 KVA INCLUDING REPAIR, MAINT AND REPLACEMENT OF UNSERVICEABLE INTERNAL WIRING, FLP FITTINGS, FLP SWITCHES, CONDUIT, SECURITY LIGHTS, CONTROL PANELS AND OTHER ALLIED WORKS AT TP COMPLEX AT AF STN DIGA

Repair/maintenance of Dg set of cap 3x500 KVA Make-Cummins water cooled type Model KTA-19-G9, KTAA-19-G10,KTA-19-G9 through the OEM of M/S Cummins or authorized dealer of M/S Cummins for following parts and equipments by servicing/descaling of raditor and replacing any type of spare parts mentioned in Srl item No-02 as an when required to DG Set all as specified and directed complete including the following:-

Note - (a) The cost of spare and labour for any servicing minor and major repair of DG Set as when required or as recommended by the OEM during inspection / analysis report (Except for spare listed Sl No 2.00 here in after) shall be responsibility of the contractor and the unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of the same.

The service from M/S Cummins along with all their authorized technicians and engineer equipped with all required T&P shall visit the plant on monthly basis to carry out necessary inspection /servicing/repairing of the plant. They shall submit the inspection/ servicing report to Engineer-in-charge. Any repair shall be carried out immediately after inspection. (First inspection shall be carried out with in 15 days from placing the work order or as directed by Engineer-in-charge).

In addition to the above mentioned servicing and repairing schedule any complaint /defect/breakdown /defect/fault in the Dg set system will be attended within 24 hours from the time of registering the complaint verbally /telephonically /via email or any mode of communication.

In case of any break down /defect/fault in the DG sets due to which the DG set repair work is held up more than 24 hours the following penalties shall be imposed on the contractor:- (i) Rs -5000/- (Ruppes five thousand only) shall be recovered for not attending the defect/faultwith in 24 hours from lodging the complaint telephonically via e-mail/verbally. (ii) Thereafter Rs- 5000/- will be added for every subsequent 12 Hours period till rectification of defect and making the plant functional. (iii) Contractor will provied Tele phone No, Mobile No and e-mail of his responsible persons and OEM who can be contacted in case of emergency to lodge the complaint along with his own details. (iv) Original spare parts supplied by M/S Cummins will only be used for any replacement spare. Spare arranged from any other source will not be allowed. (v) All consumables such a cotton waste, nut bolt,washer,screw cleaning agents gasket and safety device for work men shall be provided by the contractor and unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be include the the cost of the same.

M/S Cummins will cover the following scope of work- (a) Inspection of DG Sets 03 Nos of has to be carried out as monthly inspection. (b) Servicing of DG Sets 03 Nos has to be carried out quarterly. (c) Checking oil level of Dg sets and checking and rectification of leakage if any and filling with new oil up to required level. (d) Checking functioning of all system and making adjustment for proper working. (e) Checking moving system any abnormal sound and checking mounting and fixing arrangment (f) Checking of coupling system and tightening off nut bolts. (g) Checking of all switches. (h) Checking of batterys and tighting battery terminal . (j) Checking raditor water level checking any leakage and filling with new. (k) Checking all indication system of Dg sets and tightening properly including replacing burnt out /over heated cable ends (if any).

Note - DG Set of cap 500x3 KVA Water cooled spare parts required for repair/replacement will be measured and paid in under relevent items Sl No - 2.00 here in after.

Taking out carefully copper/aluminium point wiring from existing conduit (light, fan, socket or power) complete, including fixture and fittings such as switches, ceiling roses, pendents, regulators, sockets, light fittings etc removing materials to store for keeping in safe custody or for taking credit (credit for above items should be made as per conditions separately) and making good disturbed surfaces of walls, floors, etc. complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for point wiring through existing conduit / PVC Cassing capping with FRLS PVC insulated unsheathed, stranded copper conductor single core 1.5 Sqmm cable for one light point controlled by one one way switch with all accessories, junction box etc incl one FRLS PVC insulated, un sheathed Single core stranded/solid copper conductor cable of size 1.5 Sqmm for continues earth wire connected to main earth dolly, including matching the disturbed surface with cement work and white washing/colour washing/ distempering to match the disturbed surfaces complete all as directed by Engr -in Charge.

All as per item No - 45 here in above but of capacity 60Watt.

Supply and fixing flood light 70 watt 230 V AC outdoor type with thermal management in multiple optics and equipped with IP66 protection, with impact and corrosion resistant complete with driver and lamp complete with IP 65/66 protection complete incluiding taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing flood light 120 watt 230 V AC outdoor type with thermal management in multiple optics and equipped with IP66 protection, with impact and corrosion resistant complete with driver and lamp complete with IP 65/66 protection complete incluiding taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down of old unserviciable UG Cable of any size complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, laying, jointing and testing XLPE insulated, PVC bedded, Galvanized steel strip or wire armoured underground heavy duty electric power cable with stranded aluminum conductor 1100 volts grade, laid in trenches/ ducts/ on poles including all necessary fixing arrangement such as lugs, glands end termination etc of cross sectional area 16 Sqmm, 4 core complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches, not exceeding 1.50m wide and not exeeding 1.50m in depth for foundations, trenches of cable or pipe lines etc or and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Returning filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm in soft/loose soil complete all specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Removing excavated materials (soil) to a distance not exceeding 50 meters and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 meters above the starting point complete all specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for sand cushioning with coarse sand in trenches for protection of underground electric cable, spread to uniform 23 cm thickness and punned down gently to 18 cm after. Note:- Compacted / punned thickness of sand layers shall be measured and paid.

Supply and laying well burnt sub class 'B' bricks, laid flat dry in trenches with width of the bricks, laid to the axis of cable for cable protection complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for painting of street light poles 9m long with two coats of aluminium paint including cross arms, clamps and brackets fitted on pole including fixing of retro-reflective adhesive tape of 100mm width with 50mm as blue colour and 50mm as white incl painting of pole number complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair/replacement of polycarbonate cable junction box of size 300X200X105mm with complete three phase terminal with connecting clamps, nuts, screws etc. complete with fixing arrangement complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair/replacement of bracket for street light fittings, 1.2 metre long made to shape as required with 40 mm dia light grade GI pipe with and including MS clamp and two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cmx 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level connected to galvanized iron strip 32 x 6mm as earthing lead by means of bolt and nut, check nuts and washer of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES Schedule part I with and including excavation & earth work in any type of soil, providing charcoal dust and common salt upto 15 cm above top edge of earth plate, construction of PCC pit in cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-1 with 40 mm thick precast RCC cover 1:2:4 type B-1 reinforced with 8 mm dia MS deformed bars @ 100mm center to center both ways watering arrangement with funnel and wire mesh and watering pipe of 20mm dia GI light grade and 40mm dia light grade pipe for earth lead protection and testing on completion including dismantling & taking down old earthing complete all as specified and directed. Materials and Labour for maintenance free chemical earthing system using single spike 17.2mm dia, 3000mm long high tensile low carbon steel circular rod, molecularly bonded with copper on outer surface (minimum copper bonding thickness of 250 microns) meeting the requirements of Under Writers laboratories (UL) 467-2007 or latest with 250mm long copper strips of size 50X3 mm, exothermally welded on top of electrode complete including augering (boring) 100-125mm dia hole as required for electrode in any type of soil and back filling with Earth Enhancing Chemical back filled compound as per IEEE 80 2000 Clause 14.5(c), conforming to IEC 62561-7, min quantity of compound used 80 Kg), i.e. total qty 80 Kg per electrode, conforming to IEEE/BS standrads including pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel, including nessary testings and commissioning complete all as specified and as directed.

Notes (for item No. 62.00 above) :- (i) The work of earthing shall be carried out by authorised trained rep of OEM. (ii) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall be as per users requirement as desired by Engr-in-Charge but it should be below 01 Ohm. At certain locations,if it may not be possible to achieve desired earth resistance with one electrode / pit due to higher soil resistivity,in such cases, provision of loop earthing consisting of more than one earth electrode pits shall be done. The number of pits required shall be decided based on the resistivity of soil and resistance achieved for the earth pits already installed. The distance between two successive earth electrodes shall not be less than 3 metres. (iii) The procedure mentioned here-in-before for one earth pit shall be repeated for other earth pits. (iv) Additional earth electrode pits and loop conductor shall be measured and paid seperately . (v) The quoted rate shall also be included the following elements: (a) Complete earthwork including drilling holes for electrode. (b) Earhing electrode-01(One) No Only (c) Backfilling carbon based ground enhancing compound (GEC). (d) Pit cover light weight made out of high quality polymer with lid made of HDG steel. (e) Soil suitable for agricultural purpose required for each pit (f) Copper strip as earthing lead of size 50mmx3mm, 250 mm long only, beyond 250mm, other size will be measured and paid for separately under respective item(s) in this BOQ. (g) All Labour and T&P required including testing of earth network. (vi) Testing for earth resistance shall be carried out in presence of GE and Engr-in-Charge. (vii) Taking out existing unserviceable earthing system complete. (viii) Original purchase vouchers for copper rod and back fill compound and manufacturer test certificate of entire quantity shall be produced by the contractor before commencement of work. (ix) The Earthing shall be carried out with Soil suitable for Agricultural purpose.

Supply and fixing in repair earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead made of Copper strip of size 20 x 3.15mm as roof conductor/down conductor above ground level/ burried in ground fixed with saddles (made of Porcelain / PVC) and screws at a distance 30 cm complete all as specified & directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos, 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head brass screws complete with saddles (made of porcelain/pvc) complete all as specified and directed.
