Laying of Ductile Iron and UPVC piping for Domestic Water system at PRP site, Kalpakkam

Supply of K7 (5 mm thk) class centrifugally cast 100 DN nominal size Ductile iron pipe with external metallic zinc coating and internal cement motor lining in standard lengths conforming to IS:8329-2000 & bearing ISI mark (from the reputed manufacturing companies viz. M/s. Jindal Saw / TATA Metaliks/ Lanco /Kubota / Electrosteel / Swastik etc.) suitable for rubber gasket push on joints. The scope is inclusive of Testing (Chemical composition, Mechanical properties and 100% Hydrotest) and transportation charges. Test certificates should be provided. Rubber gasket for the push-on joint as per IS-12820 should be supplied along with the pipeline.

Laying and fixing in position type K7 class centrifugally cast 100 DN nominal size Ductile iron pipe as per the drawing. The scope includes lowering the DI pipelines into the excavated trenches and laying, fixing in position to proper grade and alignment as per IS:12288 and standard specifications including cutting the pipes to the required length, cost of labour, pipes and other materials, tools and plants for laying and installing the pipe lines and testing the lines to the required hydrostatic pressure at specified intervals but excluding the cost of Ductile iron specials / fittings and joints which will be paid under relevant items. The scope includes transportation, loading, unloading and stacking at site, conveying and laying and repair of valve pits for buried piping. The scope also includes providing and fixing SPR rubber gasket (Synthetic propylene rubber) and making push- on- joints with100 mm dia size DI pipe and making the joint intact to withstand the test pressure after installation, including cost of all materials, rubber gasket, testing of joints, tools and plants etc. complete conforming to IS: 5382 and IS: 12288. All the joints will be subjected to a test pressure of 4.5 kg/cm2 .

Supplying of tested heavy quality DI specials / fittings socket, spigot and flanged specials such as bends, tapers, tees, flanged socket and flanged spigot tail pieces, blank flanges etc and conforming to IS:9523 and IS:8329. Drilling holes to the flanged fittings shall be PN 16 classification and socket specials / fittings shall be suitable for rubber gasket (SPR) pushon joints etc. complete. The scope includes transportation, loading, unloading, conveying and laying etc. Suitable bolts and nuts shall be supplied along with pipe fitting for flanged fittings. Test certificates for the fittings should be provided. The scope is inclusive of rubber gaskets for use with ductile iron flanged joints conforming to IS 638.

Laying and fixing in position of DI flanged fittings (specified in item no. 3) and making flanged joints with DI flanged fittings (specified in item no. 3) , specials and valves, providing and fixing standard size and numbers of MS bolts, nuts and washers, rubber insertion and testing the joints to 4.5 kg / sq.cm. hydrostatic pressure and making good all the defects and leakages inclusive of cost of all jointing materials, bolts and nuts and labour etc all as per standard specification and IS:8329 and IS:9523 and as per the layout drawing. The lines after erection should be tested to a pressure of 4.5 kg/cm2.

Erection and provision of RCC/brickwork pedestal supports of 200*200*300mm size for Ductile iron/ UPVC pipelines.

Supply of 2" Nominal Bore, Sch 40 pressure class uPVC pipeline size of make "Astral/Jindal/Surya/Prince/Prakash/Supreme" or approved equivalent conforming to relevant IS-4985 (2000)/ASTM D-1785/ IS-7634-3 (2003) standard. The scope is inclusive of transportation charges. Test certificates should be provided.

Erection of 2" Nominal Bore Sch 40 uPVC pipeline and fittings as specified in Serial No 7 and 8. The scope includes erecting UPVC pipes by cutting and jointing with joining solution such as cement solvent (solvent cement should conform to ASTM D 2564) etc. The scope includes making necessary opening/chasing of the wall, flooring and restoring the work place to the original condition etc., and testing the line after erection to a test pressure of 4.0 Kg/cm2 as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Erection and provision of clamps/ brackets at maximum 1.0 metre spacing for UPVC pipelines.
