M & L for preparing of old black top surfaces by brooming with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with the use of air blowers to remove all loose dirts etc complete and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME @ 0.89 litre per Sqm (undiluetly) in two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME:Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runway complete all as per manufacturer instructions complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note A:- The tenderer shall take following points into consideration and are deemed to be included in quoted rate:- (i) Due care shall be taken for friction parametres during application of PME as per ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standard. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicator of PME manufacturers. (iii) Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's instruction. (iv) A performance guarrantee certificate for three (03) years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. (v) Application of PME shall be done by flooding and wiping in both first coat and second coat with the help of wiper or as directed by the manufacturer.

(vi) Skid registance test (Dry and Wet Condition) in every 5000 Sqm area of runway shall be carried out before and after PME by the Govt approved lab/ by experttechinician of PME manufacturer as directed by GE. (vii) PME required more/less than 0.89 litre/Sqm (undiluted) during execution of work as per direction of Engineer in Charge shall be measured and paid as supply only rate .

M & L for preparing old black bituminous surface by fibre for removing all loose dust/dirt particle etc sweeping the surface with brooms and finally the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose particle / dust etc and applying evenly a coat of cold bituminous emulsion @ 5 Kg per 10 Square metres by brushing to an uniform and fully blinded surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Cold bituminous emulsion shall be slow setting emulsion (SS-1) (IS:8887) and shall be procured directly from the manufacturer's only and brought at site in sealed drum/container of 200 litres. (ii) Empty drum shall be property of the department/MES and the same shall be removed from site from time to time and deposited at store yard of MES.

M & L for preparation of surface of line/dashes/arrow /letter on concrete / bituminous pavement /taxi track/ dispersal and the like exceeding 10 cm wide or girth and applying two coats of water based road marking paint (white/ golden yellow/ black/ white aqua based) of approved make on line/dashes/arrow/ letter etc. over 10 cm width or girth to give uniform finish complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) Painting shall be carried out by runway painting machine. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator as approved by GE.

M & L for preparation of old painted surface of line/dashes/arrow /letter on bituminous pavement and the like exceeding 10 cm wide or girth and applying one coats of water based road marking paint (white/ golden yellow/ black/ white aqua based) of approved make on line/dashes/arrow/ letter etc. over 10 cm width or girth to give uniform finish complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) Painting shall be carried out by runway painting machine. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator as approved by GE.

Note: (i) Painting shall be carried out by runway painting machine. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator as approved by GE.

NOTE:- (i) Painting shall be carried out by runway painting machine. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator as approved by GE.
