Taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from road, including removal of rubbish, disposal of unserviceable material (paid separately in A3) and stacking of serviceable material within 50 m lead for re-use in G1. Area = 140x2.30 = 322.00 Sqm (20% of 700 m)

Demolishing CC road pavement (1:2:4, 200mm thick) by mechanical means, disposal up to 1 km. Vol = 560x2.30x0.20 = 257.6 CUM (80% of 700 m)

Disposal of demolished CC pavement debris by mechanical means, loading, transporting to approved dumping ground beyond 50 m initial lead, all leads and lifts. Assumed fully unserviceable (100% of A2 volume) = 257.60 CUM.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas exceeding 1.5 m in width and 10 sqm on plan (bulk trench excavation — DSR item 2.10 series covers pipes only upto 600mm dia, not applicable for 1200mm; general earthwork excavation item used instead), all kinds of soil, for all lift, lead upto 50m, getting out and disposal of excavated earth. Vol = 700x2.30x3.78 = 6,077.75 CUM.

Close timbering in trenches including strutting, shoring and packing cavities wherever required, DEPTH NOT EXCEEDING 1.5 m. Measurement: face area timbered (both walls). Entire 700m has min. depth 3.50m (>1.5m), so full length applies. Area = 2 walls x 700 m x 1.5 m = 2,100.00 Sqm.

Close timbering in trenches — DEPTH EXCEEDING 3.0 m BUT NOT EXCEEDING 4.5 m. This layer thickness varies linearly from 0.50 m (Ch.0, depth 3.50m) to 1.05 m (Ch.700, depth 4.05m); avg = 0.775 m; applies for entire 700m (min depth 3.50m > 3.0m throughout). Area = 2 x 700 m x 0.775 m = 1,085.00 Sqm.

Pumping out water caused by sub-soil springs and seepage during trench excavation and pipe laying. Estimated volume = trench below water table (assumed at 3.0m depth, same assumption as reference BOQ): 2.30 x 700 x 0.775(avg) = 1,247.75 kL. Actual quantity to be measured and certified by EIC.

PCC 1:3:6 (M-10) bedding 200mm thick (assumed = pipe dia/6, per common design practice for larger dia pipes; reference BOQ used 150mm for 600mm dia), full trench width 2.30m. Vol = 700x2.30x0.15 = 241.50 CUM.

Supply, laying, jointing (CM 1:2) and hydraulic testing of 1200mm NP-4 RCC Hume Sewer Pipe IS:458-2003, ISI marked. Combined rate includes factory supply, transport, lowering by crane, laying, jointing and testing. Qty = 700 Rm.
