Maintenance and overhauling of DG sets, of following capacities installed at various locations in INS Mandovi, once in three months including checking, cleaning, adjusting/ tightening, oiling, greasing and re-seting of existing parts, decarbonising of battery terminals etc, for smooth operation of generator sets and ensuring proper functioning of valves, 'V' belts, pulleys, fan hub, idler, water pump, filters, engine cylinder head, bolts, nuts and washers, vibration dampers, coupling, alternator terminals, carbons brushes, vibration dampers, coupling, alternator terminals, carbon brushes, springs, AVR's, exhaust pipes etc complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Spares shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of Sch A

Repair / overhauling of exhaust system including replacement of exhaust pipe, bracket with clamp, nut, bolt and washer, exhaust manifold packing complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs sealed maintenance free gen set starting unit, X-Cell model (with built-in charger), 4 factory charged battery 12 V, 180 AH, for 40 KVA to 125 KVA DG set complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs PVC insulated battery lead with 95 sq.mm copper conductor cable of length 1.5m with copper/ brass clamps and lugs for fixing on battery terminals and self starter complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and top up diesel engine oil 15W 40 in various DG sets installed at INS Mandovi complete all as specified and directed.

Outsourcing of services of 02 helpers to assist the FGM/Electrician during performance of duties including sundays and holidays at INS Mandovi complete all as specified and directed.

Duties of Helper (a) To assist the Electrician during performance of duties, handling the T&P items and stores/ material required for attending the complaints. (b) Maintenance/ cleaning and upkeep of machinery and equipment installed at E/M installations, cutting/removing the roots of bushes, grass, weeds and unwanted materials surrounding the installation/ sub stations, feeder pillar boxes, two/four pole structures.

NOTE : (a) The Contractor shall employ 02 helpers per day for a shift of 08 hrs. Timing of shift shall be as decided by Engr-in-Charge or as per requirement. The contractor shall not have any claim whatsoever in this regard. (b) Contractor shall provide all tools and plants required for carrying out the work and shall be fully responsible for safety and security of the employees and installation. (c) Helpers engaged on duty should have sound health and shall be capable to do the job assigned to them.

S & F in repairs self starter, 24V DC suitable for 125 KVA DG set complete all as specified and directed. Make:- Lucas TVS or equivalent
