Total head an discharge Suction Case with strainer:- The opening in the suction case for the entrance of the liquid shall be of proper size and shape to avoid eddy currents. Suction case is fitted with strainer made of corrosion resistant material, suitable sand guard shall be provided just above the suction case bearing to prevent the entry of the foreign matter in the suction case. Motor:- Motor as per OEM design corresponding to above mentioned Discharge & Head, not less than 10 HP. Method of Starting = as per OEM standard Speed = 2900 sync. Voltage = 415 ± 15% Class of insulation = Class F The motor shall be suitable for operation on voltage and frequency confirming to IS 585-1962 with latest amendments. The earthing of the motor shall comply with IS 3043- 1966 with latest amendments. The thrust bearing of the motor shall be of adequate size to withstand the weight of all rotating parts as well as the imposed hydraulic thrust and lubricated suitably.The motor windings and bearings which are of the Rotary Shaft shall be cooled/ lubricated by water. The motor shall have protection by means of cable glands, rubber seals etc. from the Ingress of bore well water, sand and other foreign material. The thrust bearing housing shall be provided with the drain plug to empty the oil/ pure water filled Into The thrust bearing housing/ motor. The rotor shaft shall be provided with shaft protecting sleeves having a surface finish of 0.75 Micron Ra Max. The motor shall also be provided with breathing attachment like a bellows diaphragm etc. to compensate the volumetric variations due to change in temperature. The motor shall be made of corrosion resisting material to resist corrosion under normal conditions and the motor shall have name plate giving following information: • Name of manufacturer • Manufacturers number and frame • Type of Duty • Frequency in Hz • Number of phases • Rated output in Kilowatt/ HP • Rated voltage including connections • Approximate current in ampere at rated output • Speed in Revolution per minute at rated output The pumping unit shall have to be provided allied accessories/ attachment viz MS strengthening clamp, motor coupling.The job includes providing and fitting of GI nipples 2’ long having one side threaded and Other Side fitted with 12 mm thick MS flange by way of welding in double layers. The flange so fitted shall have suitable dia of holes for accommodating bolts etc. The nipple is to be fitted with submersible pumping unit as per site requirement and 2 pairs of holding clamps be provided.
