Repairs of Dispersal, Hardstanding, Drains of Runway, Painting to Runway, Dispersal, Taxi Track, Cutting and Cleaning of Grass and Bushes around the Runway, Taxi Track and Dispersal Area at INS Kohassa, Diglipur

M & L for preparation of existing bituminous / concrete surfaces of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc. and Painting Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters, etc. on Road, Pavements and the like exceeding 10cm width or girth with One Coat Water based Acrylic Runway marking paint of colour White or Golden Yellow complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for preparation of existing surfaces of Taxiway Marking and Turning Pads of Runway surfaces of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc. and Painting Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters, etc. and the like exceeding 10cm width or girth [Retro Reflective Type] of colour Yellow with White or Black Borders, Cold applied type, applied by skilled painter / applicator of wet film thickness of 400 microns in single coat and dry film thickness of 200 micron and coverage @ the rate of 0.4 to 0.5 Litres per Square Metre and application of drop on Glass Beads Type IV [Reflective Index 1.5] @ 350 Grams per Square Metre complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for washing, rubbing down and stopping of old painted surfaces up to 25.00 metres height and applying One coat of Weather Proof Exterior Emulsion Paint [100% Acrylic] on Walls in Chequered Pattern with approved shade and size of Chequers including providing double scaffolding and safety measures as required and removal of the same on completion complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F High Intensity Prismatic / Fluorescent Self Adhesive Radium Self Encapsulated Tape, Deep Orange Colour, as in letters [Black, Roman, Italic or Indian] including necessary Stops, Commas, Short Lines, Dashes, Brackets, etc., size of letters over 10cm width or girth complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs DTGM Boards made of Black Acrylic Sheet 4 to 5 mm with 6 Nos of 100mm dia Air Pressure clearance Holes per Board including fixing the Board to Frame Work made up of Heavy Duty PVC Pipes, The Frame shall consists of 03 Nos of 63 mm dia Heavy Duty PVC Pipes [Class - 5] confirming to IS - 4985 of 10 KGf / Sq.cm as in Vertical Post of approximate height of 1.28 m each duly covered at top with PVC Cap and inter connected at Top, Middle and Bottom with 25 mm dia Heavy Duty PVC Pipes [Class - 5] confirming to IS - 4985 of 10 KGf / Sq.cm with suitable reducer Tee Joints and jointed with PVC Solvent Cement, fixing the Acrylic Board with suitable PVC Bushes and Stainless Steel Screws, Washers and Nut & Bolts to PVC Pipes, inserting the frame in Suitable GI/MS Pipe embedded in PCC 1:2:4, Type B1 [using 20mm graded stone aggregate] of size 450 X 450 X 600mm, including necessary earthwork in any type of soil and removal of soil up to 50 metre, applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of Zinc Chrome primer to MS Pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Periodic cutting of Grass, Bushes, Small Plants using Hand held Grass cutting Machine of reputed Make with One Machine operator and one Helper for Cutting and Sweeping Grass after cutting of Grass, Bushes, Small Plants of any type along the sides of Dispersal Area, Taxi Track, Runway, Shoulders and Airfield areas throughout the year, including supply of Fuel, lubricants, spares, renewal of blades as required including maintenance and repairs to Machine and trade insurance and license fees including removing of debris to a distance exceeding 250m but not exceeding 500m from the site complete all as directed.

Note for Serial Item No. 6: The rate quoted shall be deemed to be considering following provisions and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. [a] Area of Grass cutting shall be as decided by the Engineer-in-Charge and representative of users as and when required basis. [b] Periodicity of grass cutting, will be as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in consultation with users. For this purpose, the tenderer shall maintain a register indicating the details of location, date, area, signature of Engineer-in-Charge, user's representative and Contractor. [c] At least One No. of Hand held Grass cutting Machine shall be made available at all times at site and the same may be increased to required numbers as per site requirement. [d] Minimum numbers of Labour and grass cutting machines required shall be decided by the Engineer-in-Charge in consultation with users depending upon the required area of grass cutting. In case of any dispute, decision of GE shall be final and binding. [e] The grass shall be cut so that the protruding grass shall not be more than 15mm above ground level and disposal as directed. [f] The work is required to be executed in highly restricted area along Main Runway. Therefore, the work shall be executed during non-flying hours either during Day or Night without causing any disturbance for flying. Proper safety arrangement, equipment shall be provided by the contractor for workmen.

M & L for Periodical Cleaning / Desilting of existing of Runway Cross Drains [Closed / Open] or Drains adjacent to Runway of any Cross Section and any Depth, in any condition including Foul Condition, by desilting Silt, Grit, Mud, Debris, Sludge Deposits, Pebbles, Stones, Vegetation, Waste Material Deposits etc. including bailing out water by mechanical pump as required etc., temporary diversion of drain water as required, Cleaning / Removing Manually / Mechanically for Smooth / Free flow of Drainage water etc. and removing the Materials / Debris / Spoil to a distance exceeding 1.5 KM and not exceeding 5 KM and depositing in low laying areas Outside the MD Land including removing and replacing cover slabs if required complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Serial Item No. 7: The rate quoted shall be deemed to be considering following provisions and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. [a] The work shall be executed as and when required basis / urgent basis for smooth / free flow of rain water etc. during any season or whether conditions or at any time during the day or night as ordered as required at site. [b] The rate quoted is deemed to including the cost of dewatering as required in any condition including foul condition, all the tools and plant as required, removing and replacing in position existing cover slabs of any description without disturbing the existing drains. Nothing shall be paid extra on this account. [c] Usually, the labour when ordered shall report at site for cleaning of drain within 02 Hours and the blockage shall be cleared on the same day. Failing which a penalty @ ₹ 3,000.00 Per 08 Hours shall be levied and the decision of GE shall be final and binding. [d] It shall be ensured that the stretch of drain cleaned under the subject contract shall not required to be cleaned within three months from the date of cleaning. Under extreme circumstances, if the drain is required to be cleaned within three months from the date of previous cleaning, the same shall be carried out under specific written orders of the GE.

[e] Area shall be as decided by the Engineer-in-Charge and representative of users. A register shall be maintained duly recording the initial and final levels of the Silt / Sludge for calculating the actual quantities of Desilting carried out and kept on record duly signed by JE, AGE and the Contractor including showing the details of drain cleaned such as location of drain, size of drain, date of cleaning, manpower deployed, T & P deployed etc. [f] The work shall be carried out using JCB / Tata Hitachi EX 60 / 70 / 100 Excavator or any other Machinery as required at site. [g] Proper care shall be taken while removing the silt, grit, mud and other materials to avoid any damage to the existing underground cables and pipelines etc. Damage if any occurs to the underground cables and pipelines, the same shall be made good immediately to match the existing and to restore the services and rate quoted is deemed to be including the same. [h] The work is required to be executed in highly restricted area along Main Runway. Therefore, the work shall be executed during non-flying hours either during Day or Night without causing any disturbance for flying. Proper safety arrangement, equipment shall be provided by the contractor for workmen. [i] The large stones obtained shall be made in to small pieces by suitable means and disposed off to a distance exceeding 1.5 KM and not exceeding 5 KM without damaging or disturbing the existing Runway and Perimeter Roads.

Demolition of Precast Concrete work built in Cement Mortar including all quoins arches pillars etc and removing rubbish to a distance not exceeding 1.50 KM complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of Unreinforced Cement Concrete in ground floors and Pavings not exceeding 15cm thick [below or above ground level] and removing rubbish to a distance not exceeding 1.50 KM complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for PCC 1:4:8, Type D-2, using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Foundation, Fillings, Mass concrete, Footings etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for PCC 1:3:6, Type C-2, using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in Foundation, Fillings, Mass concrete, Footings etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Providing Precast Cement Concrete Solid Block Masonry of 1:3:6, Type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate exceeding 100mm width with plain or interlocking joints set in Cement Mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for rendering 5mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:4 over a backing coat of 10mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:6 on concrete or brick masonry surfaces and finishing the top surface even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Hardcore of gauge not exceeding 63mm of broken stones or boulders, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick watered and rolled with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified.

M & L for 100 mm thick PCC 1:2:4, Type B-1, using 20mm graded aggregate as in Hardstanding / Flooring, surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement, laid in alternate bays complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling of Floor, Hearth or Wall Tiling of any description including Cement Mortar bedding [but not backing] and removing serviceable tiles to the stores and removing rubbish / debris to a distance not exceeding 1.50 KM complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Glazed Polish finished coloured Chequered Cement Concrete Tiles of thickness 23 to 25mm, made with M-25 Grade Precast Cement Concrete, Hydraulically pressed of size not less than 300 X 300 mm, of approved shape, colour and pattern, set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry to match including screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 20 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for laying [Manual Spread] Cement Concrete, M–30 Grade, Design Mix, Weigh Batched in Pavement / Hardstanding of 100mm thick including use and waste of side form for laying Pavement Concrete / Hardstanding in Bays complete all as specified and as directed. Note: The actual and designed quantity of water shall be used in the mix. The cement content shall be kept within a range of 400 to 425 Kg / Cu m. The water cement ratio shall be invariably kept between 0.35 and 0.42.

M & L for finishing surface of Concrete Roads, Pavements by brooming complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Forming Expansion Joint, 12mm thick, filled with Preformed Bituminous Filler and top 30mm Primed and sealed with Sealing Compound Grade "B" for 200mm thick flooring complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Forming Contraction Joint [Dummy], 65m deep X 10mm wide, filled with sealing compound and sealed with Sealing Compound Grade "B" for 200mm thick flooring complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Serial Item No. 01 to 21: [a] The work shall be executed as and when required basis / urgent basis within the time limit as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and Users during any season or whether conditions or at any time during the day or night as ordered / required at site and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and Users and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. [b] The work is required to be executed in highly restricted area along Main Runway. Therefore, the work shall be executed during Non-Flying Hours either during Day or Night without causing any disturbance for flying. Proper Safety Arrangement, equipment shall be provided by the contractor for workmen and nothing shall be paid extra on this account.
