Providing and Resurfacing of Synthetic Athletic Track (VOC free), cast in-situ, seamless, water impermeable surface for running track including complete line marking for eight lanes with line marking machines including marking for hurdles, relay etc. all complete as per requirements/specifications laid down by World Athletics (IAAF) and Class-II certification from a firm who has supplied and installed at least five World Athletics (IAAF) Certified Full PUR cast in-situ Synthetic Athletic Track in India with the same proposed brand including complete sub base during the last five years in their individual capacity and not as a Joint Venture. The overall thickness of synthetic athletic track post resurfacing should be minimum 15mm conforming to bidder’s proposed product which should have certification from World Athletics for a minimum thickness of 15mm.The country of origin of should be American/European/Australian/Indian only. Colour of the track: Terracotta. Surface preparation: Removal / Preparation (Buffing) of the existing track top surface up to 4-5mm and stacking the debris and disposing the same outside the campus as per norms and as per the direction of Engineer in-charge. The system should consist of in-situ application installed by mixing two components of self-levelling PU (poly urethane) and EPDM. The top layer is applied with high quality polyurethane coating with coloured EPDM rubber granules broadcast (terracotta) embedded into the coating. The laying of PU system should consist of application of primer over the buffed surface. The rate is inclusive of lane marking to meet the IAAF Class II certification, obtaining Class-II certification from IAAF, removing and refixing the aluminium kerb, any repairs needed to the existing track surfaces etc., complete (A guarantee for material and application for an amount of 10% of the value of the above work has to be submitted by the contractor in the form of bank guarantee valid for a period of 5 years. In addition, the contractor also has to provide a warranty typed in 100 rupees stamp paper as per the format mentioned in the tender document for a period not less than 5 years. Also, the bidder is to obtain a warranty from the manufacturer of the PU system on their letterhead, and it should be submitted to IITM. (50% of the BG will be released after 2.5 years and the remaining will be released after 5 years after the successful completion of the warranty period )
