REPAIRS TO POT HOLES, RESURFACING OF CARPET, ROAD SIDE FURNITURE TO INTERNAL ROADS, HARD STANDING AND PATH ETC AT INS KOHASSA, NAS SHIBPUR, 2U DET AND CGDHQ-9, DIGLIPUR

Material and labour for repairs to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc., cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 Sqm, depth exceeding 50mm and not exceeding 100mm including raking over and grading the broken surface to the proper camber as required and removing to a distance not exceeding 50m complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting including watering as necessary, filling in the depressions with approved earth which occur during the process, with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with granite, trap or basalt coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size) or grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size) spread, rolled and consolidated with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for 100 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with granite, trap or basalt coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size) or grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size) spread, rolled and consolidated with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam (WBM) surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 Kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen of Grade VG-10 on WBM surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for premixed bituminous macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 as binder content 4% by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen of Grade VG-10 on black top surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete, 40 mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen of Grade VG-30, with 5.5% of binder content by weight of total mix, mixed with 8-10 % plastics granules recycled from waste plastics of appropriate quality and specifications as per the Indian Road congress (IRC) and guidelines laid down in the road constructions Deptt of Andaman and Nicobar Islands mixed with using Mini Hot Mix plant, laid manually, spread, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Plastic granules will be measured and paid under supply only under Ser item No.12 here in after (ii) Any variation in the qty of bitumen from standard design mix i.e., with 5.5% binder content while adding plastic granules will be measured deducted from the supply only Bitumen under Item No. 13 here in after. (iii) Being remote area, for lesser quantity and due to non availability of hot mix plant and paver near by , using mini hot mix plant and laying & spreading of bituminous premix by manually is considered. If the finished surface is found rough & uneven, the contractor shall rectify the SDAC surface with required qty of fine mix of SDAC or sand seal coat till the uniform and even surface is attained all as directed by the Engr-in-Charge. Contractor shall not claim any extra in this regard.

Supply only plastic granules ready for use from recycled process including collection, segregation, shredding and drying complete all as directed by Engineer - in - charge.

Supply only bitumen binder grade VG-30 as approved all as specified and as directed. Note :- This item shall be operated for adjustment for any variation in the qty of bitumen from the standard design mix with 5.5% binder content while adding the recycled plastic granules and will be measured and deducted from the bitumen content of standard design mix as applicable.

Material and Labour for Moorum/ red bajri filling in road side berms, laid in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed / rolled with hand roller including watering complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete in ground floor and pavings not exceeding 15 cm thick above or below ground level and disposed in low lying areas not exceeding 50 m distance as directed.

Material and Labour for 100 mm thick, cement concrete 1:2:4, type B1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregates as in flooring/pavings including necessary form work, finished even and smooth, without using extra cement complete all as specified.

Material and labour for applying retro-reflective thermoplastic paint, 2.5 mm thick, width and shade/colour as directed in road marking strips or any other pattern using hot thermoplastic material by fully automatic applicator machine, the machine shall be fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propene tank heaters and profile shoe heater, driven by skilled operator on road surfaces and spreading/dispensing glass beads over the painted surfaces immediately when the surface is hot for better binding at the required rate, all including cleaning the road surface off all dirt, scales, oil, grease and foreign materials etc, complete all as per manufacture's instructions and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in - Charge. Fixing only in repairs Bi-Directional solar road studs, (with blinkers, made of solar cells, enclosed in aluminium die cast matt finished enclosure of size 125x125x25mm with 60mm shank [minimum], fixed using epoxy adhesive, including taking down old existing solar studs all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge. Make: Solar road studs shall be issued under Sch 'B' for free for fixing only.
