Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blade/ machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod 12 mm and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polythene form backup rod of appropriate dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant 10 mm thick meeting the requirements mentioned in BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30%. (a) Joint of width 12-15 mm Note: For cutting of joint and cleaning of cutting surface contractor should use electric operated tools at site and sufficient usable DG to be arranged by contractor himself .

(a) Joint of width 21-25 mm
Material and labour for repairing pot holes / patches etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 25 to 30mm deep, removing the loose material to a distance exc 250 metre but n.exc 500 m and cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc, priming the pot holes / patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified elastomeric concrete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per ser item No. 4 here-in-above but depth of pot holes / patches exc 30 mm deep but not exc. 40 mm deep.
Material and labour for Repair to patches of flexural portion of runway, depth n.exc 80 mm, including sweeping free from dust and mud or water with wire or jute brush scoring sunken surfaces in runway pavement, cutting around edge to at least full depth of carpet layer making proper rectangular or square shape patch and making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer (catonic emulsion RS) and filling the patch with Readymade Bituminous patching mix of using cutback bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber.,r and gradient with hand roller complete and clean the surface by booming and making FOD free surface to runway, Complete all as specified and directed by engineer in charge.
Deployment of T&P and labour for cutting and removing the grasses / vegetation growth / saplings etc. from the surrounding area of runway, taxi track and dispersals by using tractor equipped with jungle Jim and disposing off all the rubbish out of runway boundary complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Minimum 2 Jungle Jim with tractor to be deployed by the Contractor on daily basis from April to July( as per site requirement) . If contractor unable to deploy 2 Jungle Jim with tractor per day 2500/- recovery carried by department.
Deployment of T&P and labour for grass cutting by manually or mechanically (Bush Cutter) on the both side of runway / PTT as per requirement basis and timing as feasible by the users, complete including taking out all necessary grass shurbs saplings wild bushes and any type of vegetation and removing out of runway boundary complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Minimum 4 Bush cutter to be deployed by the Contractor on daily basis from April to July( as per site requirement). If contractor unable to deploy 4 Bush cutter with operator and one cleaning labour per day 3500/- recovery carried by department.
Demolition of old PQC / concrete of any description and in any position not other wise specifically provided for and demolished material thrown out of runway premises complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Supplying and laying 400 micron thick HDPE sheet (Virgin quality) water proof, wrinkle free without puncture having minimum weight 390gm/Sqm over sand cushion as specified in the design with overlap between adjacent strip and at transverse joint as minimum 300mm.
Material and labour for sand cushion layer under polythene film complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Material and labour for Pavement quality concrete (PQC) of minimum 28 days field flexual strength of 45 kg/sqcm or 4.5 Mpa , aggregate gradation as per table 3 of IRC15-2017,coarse aggrgate of clean ,hardstrong ,dense, non porous and durable pieces of crushed stone or gravel , fine aggregate of clean natural sand or crushed stone sand or combination of both using minimum 360 kg/cum of cement with non circular virgin synthetic fibre of 12 mm to 18 mm length, specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39, UV Stable alkali resistant , with equivalent dia of 15 to 40 micron minimum melting temperature as 240 degree celsius and minimum tensile strength of 300 Mpa and at the rate as specified by the manufacture . PQC laid and spread and compacted with slip form paver of minimum 7.5 m width including curing and tanning by texturing cum curing machine complete all as specified and directed. required surface texturing to be done as specified in clause 10.1.14 and table 9 of IRC 15-2017 including necessary steel formwork complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Material and labour for forming 25mm width expansion joints in concrete slab for full depth of PQC. Early entry saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joints shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris The Joint then filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, thereafter application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell, medium density, cross linked polythene form backup rod of 30mm dia over filler board and filled with polyurethane joint sealant complying with BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30% having minimum 10-year performance guarantee, applying masked tape on the edge of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by manufacturers complete as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparation of old decorated surfaces of concrete pavement and applying one coat of white wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
