Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and getting out in hard/ dense soil for pipe trenches all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick with approved soil obtained from excavation all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soil not exceeding 50 metre and depositing at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point all as specified and as directed.

M&L for repairs/rectification of leakage in UG cast iron /Galvanised iron pipe/DI pipe by means of choking lead wool/ pig lead or tightning of GI fittings/ DI fittings complete including excavation and earth work for exposing the joints and working space on the site, returning,filling in and making good to the existing earth level of the surroundings after repair for 100 mm bore pipes all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Rectification of leakage shall be attended and rectified by the contractor on the same day of reporting by the Engr-in-charge. Non rectification of leakage of pipe line shall be viewed as serious lapse on contractor's part and penal charges as Rs 100/- per complaint.
