Earth work in excavation of foundation trenches or drains, in all sorts of soil (including mixed soil but excluding laterite or sandstone) including removing, spreading or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75 m. as directed. The item includes necessary trimming the sides of trenches, levelling, dressing and ramming the bottom, bailing out water as required complete. (a) Depth of excavation not exceding 1,500 mm. Weaving wire mattress as directed with wire of 4mm dia. and making sausage crate of required shape after tying all intersections including joining longitudinal ends, closing ends of sausage, carriage of wire to site of work complete in all respect as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge including cost of supply of G.I. wire. Filling properly the empty sausage crates with boulders of any size & shape with hand packing after preparation of bed of placement, placing the crate in position, carriage of boulders from road stacks with a lead upto 150m etc. complete in all respect including stitching the rest of the crate with wire (passage for filling boulders) after filling up the crate with boulders and launching the crate in position if necessary and as directed by the Engineer-in charge.( supply of boulder) Ref: Derived Rate.

Hire and labour charges for shuttering with centering and necessary staging upto 4 m using approved stout props and thick hard wood planks of approved thickness with required bracing for concrete slabs, beams and columns, lintels curved or straight including fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of works (upto roof of ground floor) (a) 25 mm to 30 mm thick wooden shuttering as per decision & direction of Engineer-In-Charge. Nominal Mix (1:2:4) cement concrete with graded stone chips (20 mm size) excluding shutting and reinforcement if any for road pavement (Pakur/Chandil Chips) Ref: Derived Rate.

Earth work in road embankment and construction of sub-grade in all sorts of chainage by obtaining carried earth from any distance depositing the same and compaction by hand rammer each layer of soil upto 25 cm. (loose) thick layers including breaking all clods, thoroughly watering, dressing cambering etc. filling deposition making sufficient number of benches on existing embankment, bailing out water, dressing side slope and crest to proper profile in accordance with the procedure of work as detailed in specification including stripping off the grass sods, weeds etc. and as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including up-rooting plants and jungles as when and where necessary.
