M&L for providing and laying DLC 150mm thick laving compressive strength not less than 7 Mpa at 07 days (para 4.1 IRC:SP:49-2014) for each consecutive group of 05 cubes. Individual strength of each cube must not be less than 5.5 Mpa at 07 days(para 4.1: IRC;SP:49-2014). DLC laid over prepared and laid WMM with coarse and fine aggregates conforming to IS-383, size of aggregates not exceeding 26.5mm (Grading and other parameters as per Table 600-1 of MORTH&H specifications for Road and Bridge Works/ Table 1 IRC:SP:49-2014). Min cement content must not be less than 140 Kg/cum (para 4.2 IRC:SP:49-2014) mixed in Batching Plant, Transported to site and laid by sensor paver including spreading and compacting using double drum smooth wheeled rollers with 80-100KN of static weight to achieve min dry density not less than 98% of Max dry density, which shall be performed after final rolling and compaction on the same day and vibratory capacity including necessary formwork, finishing etc compete all as specified and directed. Note : (a) 75mm extra width both side is to be carried out for fessible movement of the slip form paver which will be performed from formation level upto DLC. (b) The extra qty are also included in the sepcified qty. (c) 30 mm deep joints at regular interval of every 15 m shall be provided in DLC layer to avoid cracks nothing extra shall be paid on this account.
M&L 10mm thick sand cushion with clean river sand duly clear of residual, organic and deleterious materials spread evenly to uniform thickness laid over DLC layer. The sand cushion must not contain stones/other hard or uneven matter as specified and directed. (No additional amount will be paid for overlap).
Supplying and laying (no addl payment of overlap) 400micron thick HDPE sheet (Virgin Quality) having minimum weight 390 gm/Sqm over sand cushion as specified in the design with overlap between adjacent strips as minimum 100mm and transverse joints at ends as minimum 150mm etc complete as specified and directed.
M&L for preparing surfaces and applying two coats of road marking paint on pavement surfaces as in center line marking, edge marking, threshold marking, touch down marking (Plan-Alpha) and all other marking complete all as specified and directed for runway, aprons, taxiways etc in such a way that lower surface texture is not visible all as specified and directed.
M&L for forming embankment filling with earth obtained from excavation/debris including spreading, levelling , watering, ramming, pulversing, blending of soil through mechanical operation and rolling the mixture and consolidation of surface (300mm compacted thickness) of 150mm layer each rolled with 8 to 12 tonne vibratory roller duly maintaining the requisite gradient etc complete all as specified and directed.

Note:- (i) The rate quoted shall be inclusive of this. (ii) Irrespective of what is shown in plate no 03 of SSR Part-I(2009), earthing pit shall be precasted PCC(1:3:6) typr C1 20mm stone aggregate and the cover of earthing pit shall be of precast RCC(1:2:4) type B1 using 20mm aggregate reinforced with 6mm dia round bars @ 75mm c/c both ways with MS handle 12mm dia with suitable handle fushed with surface all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) GI strip and GI pipe medium grade, up tp 7.5mtr shall be deemed to be included in the rates quoted for earthing. (ii) Excavation and earthwork in any type of soil strata shall be deemed to be included for MS sheet of size 300x300x3mm thick, fixed with necessary nuts and bolts on angle iron of size 40x40x5mm, 60cm long and grouted with PCC block of size 200x200x250mm(PCC 1:3:6 using 20mm grade stone aggragate including necessary earth work for marking the result and purpose.)

Removing building materials etc (other than spoil payble under items in section 3 – earthwork) to a distance out side of MOD land of 2 Km or under, beyond the lead included in the rates, including loading, unloading and stacking at the destination.
COMMON ITEMS OF WORK
Demolition of Brick work or stone boulder masonry, built in cement mortar incl all quoins, arches, pillers etc but excluding ashlar facings, dressess stonework and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for Cement concrete 1:4:8 Type D-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggrgate in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed.
Demolition of Concrete paving of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided complete all as specified and as directed
Removing excavated soil not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed
Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller including filling in soft spots, depressions etc., which occur during rolling to required camber and gradient etc. including watering before and during rolling complete all as specified.
Demolition of concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided and removing the material exc 5 Km outside of MoD land all as specified and directed.
M&L for 150mm thick (Compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadamlaid in two layers of 75mm each. WMM grading as per table 400-13 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013, manufactured in WMM plant. Material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight static wt to achieve min dry density not less than 98% of Max dry density, which shall be performed after final rolling and compaction on the same day and consoildating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013.
M&L for providing and laying DLC 125mm thick laving compressive strength not less than 7 Mpa at 07 days (para 4.1 IRC:SP:49-2014) for each consecutive group of 05 cubes. Individual strength of each cube must not be less than 5.5 Mpa at 07 days(para 4.1: IRC;SP:49-2014). M & L for forming dummy/contraction joint 125 mm deep and 8-10mm wide by early entry saw cut using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, joint cleanded thoroughly with application of compressed air, joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and puring the sealant. Placing of closed cell, medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 10-12mm dia, filled with polyurethane based sealant (Top 12-13mm leaving 2-3 mm recess), Hydrolysis/water resistance test including initial 3mm wide saw cut upto 1/3rd depth of slab (within 8 to 24 hrs) complying with BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30% having minimum 10 years performance guarantee, applying masked tap on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacture complete all as specified and directed. Note : The specification shall be followed for NLB also.
M&L for cutting of construction joints 25mm deep and 8-10mm wide by early entry saw cut using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, joint cleanded thoroughly with application of compressed air, joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris.
