(c ) Wall thickness of pipes shall be all as per IS : 15801

Repair of leakage/seepage from the Nahani trap/ floor trap of kitchen/ bathroom/ washbasin of the upper Qtr, in any position at any height, complete including change of floor trap, PVC horinzontal pipe embeded in floor in bathroom or kitchen making good to the damage portion of flooring, laying and matching of tiles in the existing flooring, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Repair of leakage/seepage from the wall/ door bend /door tee/ 'Y' junction/ 'T' Junction of soil pipe / waste pipe/ vent pipe of kitchen/ bathroom/WC of the upper Qtr or at the ground floor Qtr including change of any damage soil waste pipes or fittings of any shape, specification and size, making good to the damage portion of wall with brick work in cement mortar 1:6 or cement concrete 1:2:4 and plastering to wall in CM 1:4 and matching to existing wall complete to avoid the leakage/ seepage at the site of work as directed and specifie by the Engineer -in- charge

Note for item No 9 & 10 :- (a) Find out main cause of leakage and take necessary steps to resolve / rectify. (b) Replace existing tiles in case leakage through NT/FT. (c) The rate also include provision of new NT/FT. (d) The unit rate is also deemed to be included for reqd bonding chemicals to arrest the leakage/seepage as direct by the manufacturer specification. Removing plant/Uprooting of vegetation growth including roots on wall/roof/parapet/Shaft portion , near pipes etc and applying acid treatment after removing roots for preventing regrowth and making good disturbed surfaces/area in superficial area exc 150sq.cm but n.exc 400 sq.cm and averaging depth not exceeding 10 cm by using PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 (using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate) or 10mm thick plastering in cement mortar 1:3 as required and finishing the surfaces to match with the existing surface complete all as specified and directed.

Note for item No 21 :- (a) Rate quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to inclusive of double steel scaffolding.

(b) Contractor shall provided safety gears to his workers at his own cost and safety precaution to avoid accidents.

M&L in repairs Stack clamps made out of 50 mm x 5 mm flat iron and 75 mm dia round iron stays, including bolts and nuts and securing ends of stays to wall or roof for 75 mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in repairs Stack clamps made out of 50 mm x 5 mm flat iron and 110 mm dia round iron stays, including bolts and nuts and securing ends of stays to wall or roof for 110 mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Water proofing treatment of existing roofs as per details given below after complete removal of existing water proofing treatment and expose of top surface of RCC slab of any thickness, any type by stripping out old tar felt over roofs, parapets, chimney stacks etc laid horizontally or vertically including taking out layer of cement plaster etc and cleaning the surface with water and using wire brush including removing debris to outside the MOD land complete all as specified and as directed :-

(a) Surface should be free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Remove all existing bitumen coatings completely by using intense wire brushing, high speed water jet & vacuum cleaner for thorough cleaning of the surface to avoid ‘Peeling off’ problems.

(b) All cracks at corner joints, channels and parapets should be properly treated. For filling cracks upto 3mm crack seal material of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical to be used. Bigger cracks, damaged portions & hollow areas must be repaired with polymer modified cement mortar.

(c) Apply a coat of self priming smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical with 33% dilution with water using brush/roller on newly plastered surface after curing as per IS-456 and allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours (dilution & forced coverage requirement strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions).

(d) After the primed surface has dried, apply first coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same primed surface & allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours.

(e) Prepare for apply 2nd coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same surface. The temp to be maintained 25 to 35° C through out the all above application work.

(f) In case of severe dampness an additional coat of damp proof materials to be applied.

Note for item No 26 to 32 :- (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the following manufacturers only. MOU to be submitted before commencement of work. Make : M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical

(ii) A performance guarantee certificate for 10 years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.

(iii) The unit quoted rate is deemed to include taking down of water pipeline, tanks, wires (etc) found on roof and refix at the original position after complete treatment of roof.

(iv) The unit quoted rate shall be inclusive of material, all labours, tools and plants including scaffolding required for working upto approx 7.5 mtr height from natural ground level.

(v) The unit rate quoted for item is deemed to include for Removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth upto 15 cm cleaning/cutting the grass with hand operated petrol/kerosene driven grass cutting machine and removing the grass waste around 3 m from plinth protection to outside MD land.

(vi) Adoption of necessary safety arrangement like safety belts, ropes, helmets, netting etc. which are required for safety of working labour at height exceeding 3 to 25 mtr height shall be mandatary and deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

Demolition of Concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as directed.

M&L Plain cement concrete type B-0, 1:2:4 (12.5mm graded stone aggregate) as in roof kerbs, benching rounded or chamfered on edge all as specified complete all as directed.

M&L providing PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregates as in roof or in any position to bring upto the slope of average thickness of 50 mm including dismantling existing cement concrete/ roof tiles and removing debris to outside MOD land as directed.

M&L Taking down cement plaster on brick or stone walls, or concrete or ceilings etc., including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water, etc., including removal of rubbish off the premises, removal and depositing the debris where directed complete all as specified and directed.

M & L Rendering 15 mm thick in CM 1:3 on concrete roof surfaces and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement including mixing water proofing compound as per manufacturer’s instructions.

M&L Rendering 5mm thick on ceilling of concrete surfaces in CM 1:3 complete all as specified and as directed finished even and smooth without using extra cement.

M & L Preparation of new plastered or unplastered surface of ceilling, and applying two coats of white wash on ceilings complete all as specified and directed.

Note for item No 45 :- (i) The lime shall be slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. This shall be allowed to stand for a period of 24 hours and shall then be screened through clean coarse cloth. 1 kg of gum dissolved in hot water shall be added to every one cubic meter of lime cream. About 1.3 Kg of sodium chloride dissolved in hot water shall also be added for every 10 kg of lime for making the coating hard and rub resistant. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the last two coats of white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use

(ii) Application of Whitewash:- White wash shall be applied with ‘MOONJ’ brush or other brush to the specified number of coats. The operation for each coat shall consist of a stroke of the brush given from the top downwards, another from the bottom upwards over the first stroke and similarly one stroke horizontally from the right and another from the left before it dries. Each coat shall be allowed to dry before the next coat is applied. No portion of the surface shall be left out initially to be patched up later on. The brush shall be dipped in whitewash, pressed lightly against the wall of the container and then applied by lightly pressing against the surface with full swing of hand

(iii)Whitewashing on ceiling should be done prior to that on walls.

M&L Rendering 15mm thick in cement plaster 1:4 on stone masonry surfaces or surface other than fair face of brickwork or on one side of lathing finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed

M & L Preparation of new or plastered or unplastered surface of wall and applying two coats of cement based paint over a coat of alkali resistant priming paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Item No 50 :- (i)Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. The surface shall be moist but not dripping wet when the paint applied .Surfaces which readily absorb moisture shall be wetted in one operation not more than one hour before painting.Surfaces which absorb moisture slowly shall be wtted in at least two operations not less than 30 minutes apart.

(ii)To maintain a uniform mixture and to prevent segregation ,the paint shall be stirred frequently in the bucket.

(iii)Painting surfaces shall be cured as soon as paint has hardened so as not be to damaged by the spray about 12 hours after the applications.

(iv) Cost of scaffolding required deemed to be included in the quoted rate of item and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.

(v)Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of any approved make as per list of makes specified.

Repair to ends of chajjas/ parapets by removing old concrete, loose material & cleaning of the reinforcement and finishing the surface in cement mortar 1:3 , mixed with water proofing compound as per the manufacturers instructions, finished fair & even and making good with existing finishes all as specified and directed. Rate quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to inclusive of water proofing compound.

Note for item No 56 :- (a) The subject work is require to be executed in a bldg having height upto 12.50 mtr from natural ground level. Providing, fixing and erecting scaffolding in double face structure, as required along with approach system for the repairs / plastering of the buildings to facilitate execution of all items of works,complete with necessary support, propping system etc for external repair. The unit rate is deemed to be included this provision also.

(b) The unit quoted rated deemed to included for removing plant/ up rooting of vegetation growth including roots on wall/ roof/ parapet near pipe etc.

(c) The unit quoted rate deemed to be included for necessary safety equipments such as safety belt, ropes, helmets, netting etc mandatorily to be provided to labour working at height exceeding 3 mtr.

M&L Preparation of old plastered surfaces wall/ ceiling and applying two coats of white washing on ceiling/ walls surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Complete removal of existing old decorated plastered surface in walls, Chajja, balcony, facia etc. by brooming down or steel wire brushing scrapping down, smoke shoots moulds, mass efforescent salt, treating oil and greasy spots etc and applying two coat of cement based paint over a coat of alkali resistant primer complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Item No 64:- (i)Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. Note for Item No 74 :- Colour wash shall be applied with ‘MOONJ’ brush or other brush to the specified number of coats. The operation for each coat shall consist of a stroke of the brush given from the top downwards, another from the bottom upwards over the first stroke and similarly one stroke horizontally from the right and another from the left before it dries.

M&L Preparation of plastered or un plastered old surfaces of walls, Chajja, balcony, facia etc. by brooming down or steel wire brushing scrapping down, smoke shoots moulds, mass efforescent salt, treating oil and greasy spots etc and applying one coat of cement based paint complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Item No 76:- (i)Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. The surface shall be moist but not dripping wet when the paint applied .Surfaces which readily absorb moisture shall be wetted in one operation not more than one hour before painting.Surfaces which absorb moisture slowly shall be wtted in at least two operations not less than 30 minutes apart.

Note for Item No 82 :- (i)Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. The surface shall be moist but not dripping wet when the paint applied .Surfaces which readily absorb moisture shall be wetted in one operation not more than one hour before painting.Surfaces which absorb moisture slowly shall be wtted in at least two operations not less than 30 minutes apart.

M&L Preparation of old plastered surfaces of wall by using pressure washer, removal all dirt and dust and applying one coat of exterior emulsion weather proof paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 88:- (a) The Exterior emulsion paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.

(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.

(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.

(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality

(e ) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE

(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.

(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.

(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

M & L Dismantling of existing Rotational moulded polythene water storage tank exc 500 Ltrs capacity but n.exc 1000 Ltrs capacity and refixing the same position including fitting items complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Taking down steel tubing 20 mm bore and connections including cleaning and refixing of old GI tubing 15mm bore including connections in new or old position (wall, ceiling & floor complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Taking down steel tubing 25 mm bore and connections including cleaning and refixing of old GI tubing 15mm bore including connections in new or old position (wall, ceiling & floor complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 98 & 99:- The unit rate quoted is inclusive for necessary fittings required for re-connection.

M&L Preparation of old plastered surfaces of wall by using pressure washer, including removal of existing colour/treatment and dirt, dust etc and applying two coats of exterior emulsion paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 101:- (a) The Exterior emulsion paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.
