Earth work in excavation of foundation trenches or drains, in all sorts of soil (including mixed soil but excluding laterite or sandstone) including removing, spreading or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75 m. as directed. The item includes necessary trimming the sides of trenches levelling, dressing and ramming the bottom, bailing out water as required complete. (a) Depth of excavation not exceeding 1,500 mm.

(18)Construction of special inspection chamber pit of size 900mm. X 600mm. (inside measurement) without shaft with 250mm. thick cement brick work (1:4) over 150mm. thick jhama cement conc. (1:4:8) bed over a layer of brick flat soling including providing 150mm. thick R.C.C. slab with ordinary cement concrete (mix 1:1.5:3) with 1% reinforcement over the chamber, brick on edge flooring with ordinary cement concrete (mix 1:2:4) in the invert with 20mm. thick cement plaster (1:4) finished fine with 1.5 mm. thick neat cement in the inside walls and invert including supplying, fitting and fixing 450mm. dia. (15 m.T.) heavy duty R.C.P.C. cover and frame (15 m.T. load bearing capacity) with ordinary cement concrete (mix 1:2:4) and C.I. steps (4 kg. each) including cutting hard crust, excavation, dewatering, back filling and removal of spoils but excluding shoring as per standard drawing of K.m.C. (depth of invert between 1.15m. to 1.80m. below G.L.) i) Average depth of invert 1.15 m. below G.L.

X 600mm. x 1500 mm (inside measurement) and 450mm X 450mm. square shaft (inside measurement) with 250mm. thick cement brick work (1:4) over 150mm. thick jhama cement conc. (1:4:8) bed over a layer of brick flat soling including providing 150mm. thick R.C.C. slab with ordinary cement concrete (mix 1:1.5:3) with 1% reinforcement over the chamber, brick on edge flooring with ordinary cement concrete(mix 1:2:4) in the invert with 20mm. thick cement plaster (1:4) finished fine with 1.5 mm. thick neat cement in the inside walls and invert including supplying, fitting and fixing R.C.P.C. cover and frame (15 m.T. load bearing capacity) with ordinary cement concrete (mix :1:2:4) and C.I. steps( 4 Kg. each) including cutting hard crust, excavation, dewatering, backfilling and removal of spoils but excluding shoring as per standard drawing of K.m.C. (depth of invert should not be less than 1.80m below G.L.)(ii) Addition and deduction of rate of special inspection chamber pit as per above item for each addition or reduction in depth of 100 mm. or part thereof.

SANITARY AND DRAINAGE WORKS (B)-(IV)INSPECTION PIT,SEPTIC TANK,SOAK PIT ETC. (a) Original Works 1.Constructing Inspection pit of inside measurement 600mm X 600mm X upto 600mm(depth) with 250 mm thick 1st. class brick work in cement mortar (1:4) on all sides, bottom of the pit consisting of 100 mm thick cement concrete (1:3:6) with stone chips over a layer of jhama brick flat soling, 15 mm thick (1:4) cement plaster to inside walls and out-side walls upto G.L. and 20 mm.thick (1:4) plaster to bottom of the pit, providing necessary invert with cement concrete (1:3:6) with stone chips as per direction, neat cement finishing to entire internal surfaces, top of the pit covered with 100 mm thick R.C.C. slab (1:1.5:3) with stone chips and necessary reinforcements upto 1% and shuttering including 6 mm thick cement plaster (1:4) in all external surfaces of the slab and one 560 mm dia. R.C.C. manhole cover of approved make supplied, fitted and fixed in the slab with necessary fittings, necessary earthwork in excavation in all sorts of soil, filling sides of the pit with earth and removing spoils after work complete in all respect with all costs of labour and materials.i) With Pakur variety (Other than SAIL/TATA/RINL).

Hire and labour charges for shoring work (including necessary close plank walling, framing, Eucalyptus/Jhou bulla piling, strutting etc) complete as per direction of the Engineer-in charge for foundation excavation (vertical surface are in contact with supported earth is to be measured.) (This item should be executed on specific direction of the Enginner in charge).(a) Depth upto 1.5 m.

BUILDING WORKS (B) DISMANTLING, CUTTING CHASE, HOLES ETC 13. Removal of rubbish,earth etc. from the working site and disposal of the same beyond the compound, in conformity with the Municipal / Corporation Rules for such disposal, loading into truck and cleaning the site in all respect as per direction of Engineer in charge

MATERIALS AND LABOUR 1. Building (B) Labour Rates Per Diem : 3)Mazdoor (Male). Note: (I)The above rates of labour are exclusive of 10% contractors profit and 1% Labour welfare cess which would be admissible to the Contractors, but contractual percentage will not be applicable. (II) The workersemployed on high rise building or any structure over 30 ft in height and also workers engaged in Tunnel shall be paid 20% extra wages.

CHAPTER - VIII SUPPLYING OF MATERIALS HIRE CHARGES OF MACHINERIES 8.27Hire charges of moveable type mounted earth excavator having minimum cutter size (1.0 cubic meter) & loader size (2.0 meter length x 0.75m width) for cutting & removal of any kind of soil, spoli etc. including cost of fuel, lubricants & manpower etc. in Water Supply Works. Earthwork in cutting to form road section in correct profile including removal of spoils not exceeding initial lead of 50m and initial lift of 1.5m (Mode of measurement: pre works and post works) (i) In ordinary soil

Supplying, spreading and compacting Sand to required thickness, in layers not exceeding 150 mm to proper gradient and camber, inundating each layer by water and packing and ramming layer by layer to achieve desired compaction, including lighting, guarding, barricading and making adequate earthen bundh where necessary, curing with water as per direction, mending cracks and depressions by ramming wherever necessary. Note:- Add cost at site of the materials to arrive at the complete rate. The compaction factor for dry, clean sand may be taken as 0.835. (The payment is to be made on the basis of finished compacted volume). (c) For Silver Sand

Water Bound Macadam Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal / Laterite chelly or stone metal / shingles of specific size in hard crust to requisite thickness (measured after compaction) in layers including screening of metals etc. as necessary, hand packing, sweeping, watering and rolling in stages with power roller to proper line, grade and camber, lighting, guarding & barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side where necessary to protect edges and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling and rolling all complete including the cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machineries and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (ii) For Construction of Sub Base by consolidating Brick Bats / Laterite (90 mm to 45 mm) (For compacted thickness 100mm)

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening / binding materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering including lighting, guarding, barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling, including cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machinery and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).
