Providing and laying water proofing treatment on roofs of slabs by applying cement slurry mixed with water proofing cement compound consisting of applying: (a) after surface preparation, first layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 kg/sqm mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.253 kg/sqm. (b) laying second layer of Fibre glass cloth when the first layer is still green. Overlaps of joints of fibre cloth should not be less than 10 cm. (c) third layer of 1.5 mm thickness consisting of slurry of cement @ 1.289 kg/sqm mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.670 kg/sqm and coarse sand @ 1.289 kg/sqm. This will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours followed by water curing for 48 hours. The entire treatment will be taken upto 30 cm on parapet wall and tucked into groove in parapet all around. (d) fourth and final layer of brick tiling with cement mortar (which will be paid for separately. For the purpose of measurement the entire treated surface will be measured.

Weathering course using best quality of broken jelly of 20mm gauge in pure slacked lime (no sand to be added) over roof slab the proportion of brick jelly to lime being 32:12.5 by volume and laid over in a single consolidated to the required design and finished thickness by beating the concrete with wooden beater to the size required slope of approved pattern and keeping the surface constantly wet by sprinkling lime jaggery water as per standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing and laying pressed clay tiles (as per approved pattern 18 mm nominal thickness of approved size) on roofs jointed with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) mixed with 2% integral water proofing compound, laid over a bed of 20 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) and finished neat complete.

Painting with Damp proof paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade including necessary scaffolding and safety arrengements etc., as directed : Two or more coats and including priming one coat, total three coats as directed by the Engineer -in-charge.

Providing and fixing precoated galvanised iron profile sheets 0.50 mm thick or below. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling /self tapping screws with EPDM seal, complete upto any pitch in horizontal/ vertical or curved surfaces, excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including cutting to size and shape wherever required. (Precoated galvanised iron profile sheets will be supllied by the department)

Supplying and fixing rolling shutters of approved make, made of required size M.S. laths, interlocked together through their entire length and jointed together at the end by end locks, mounted on specially designed pipe shaft with brackets, side guides and arrangements for inside and outside locking with push and pull operation complete, including the cost of providing and fixing necessary 27.5 cm long wire springs manufactured from high tensile steel wire of adequate strength conforming to IS: 4454 - part 1 and M.S. top cover of required thickness for rolling shutters.

Store Area: Removing the existing old industrial type MV panels 2 nosin NC Store area, 1 no Engineering store area and 1 no in the canteen material stock area along with the old UG cables of various sizes upto 6 " beyond floor level and returning the removed panels and other materials to the departments stores or any such place within the institute area as directed by the engineer in charge as per site condition .

Store Area: Removing the existing 7 no’s old DB’s of all kindsand sizes, removing the existing unwanted old wirings of all types, fittings, fans, industrial wall mounted fan and other unused and wornout electrical installations, cutting the L angle channels and other unwanted materials which is deemed to be removed in the stores area and returning the removed items to the departments stores or any such place within the institute area as directed by the engineer in charge as per site condition. Required as per site condition.
