REPAIRS/ RESURFACING OF ROAD, RENEWAL OF ROAD PAINTING AND REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED ROAD FURNITURE UNDER GE NORTH BANGALORE

Repair to pot holes any depth not exc. 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying a tack coat of bituminous primer (paving bitumen) @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder (VG-30 ) 9.8kg per 10 Sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (Including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of potholes exceeding 30mm complete all as directed.

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as directed.

Applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion (RS-1, grade confirming to IS: 8887 at 3.00 kgs/10Sqm) using emulsion pressure distributor on the prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom and as per clause 503 of MORTH complete all as directed.

Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete, 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content (Paving bitumen of VG-30) by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, rolled with tandem vibratory roller and compacted to required camber and gradient by using mechanical paver complete all as directed.

Road stud reflective type of metal body alloy with PAMA strip lens reflector with MS stud of suitable size fixed with adhesive as per manufactures instructions complete all as directed. Make:- Model No.DA 972 of Dark eye or equivalent of 3M / Sun Eyez / M/s Texla Plastic & Metal Pvt Ltd ./ M/s Automat Road Safety Pvt Ltd.

Preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5 mm thick center lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc and the like n.exc 10 cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint (including reflectorizing glass beads@250 gms per sqm as per IRC-35-1997)of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufactures instructions complete all as directed. (Make: Metro road system /Shivalik / Asian) Note : 1. Unit rate quoted by the contractor include for provision of red signals to keep off trafic from work, cleaning road surface and working during odd hours when traffic is light. 2. The line marking shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing any signs of scratch marks or surfaces underneath, if necessary the surface shall be remarked after removal of existing treatment untill the desired result is obtained.
