CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR STRUCTURAL AUDIT OF BUILDING NO. P-18 AND P-19 AT MIRC AHMEDNAGAR

Conducting structural audit of building No. P-18 (G+2) & P-19 (G+2) (total approx area 18400 Sqm for both buildings) complete including all columns, beams, slabs and super stucture at MIRC for undermentioned scope of work:-

SCOPE OF WORK : a) Mobilzation and demobilization of tools/equipment and personnel required to execute complete job as required for structural audit complete all as directed by GE. b) Visual Inspection :- Detailed physical inspection of stuctural members for their condition as to the distress, deterioration, deformation, connection alternation and various damages and defects. It shall be carried out as a qualitative assessment in accordance with latest guidelines of Indian Society of Structural Engineers.Visual health inspection of buildings covering internal, external and common areas using light tapping hammer, marking in floor plan all the visible defects, deterioration and quntification. A preliminary report regarding collection of preliminary data, pre-repair survey, general defects, damages and general recommendations shall be submitted.

c) Conducting Non Destructive test using digital rebound hammer as per IS 13311 Part-2 1992, which rebound members converted into compressive strength (Reading for one test shall be average of 10 readings) . No of tests carried out shall be as given in relevent IS for each structural member. d) Conducting Non Destructive test of concrete by ultrasonic pulse velocity instruments as per IS 516 (Part 5/Section-1) 2018 using 54 KHz/ 25KHZ transducers and submitting proper analytical report according to codal provisions complete all as directed.No of tests carried out shall be as given in relevent IS for each structural member.

e) Conducting Non Destructive test of concrete by Half cell electrical potential instrument as per ASTM C876-91 to assess durabilty of reinforced concrete members,where reinforment corrosion is suspected and investigation concrete containment by chemical attack and submitting proper analytical and graphical report with contours showing areas prone to corrosion risk complete all as directed. No of tests carried out shall be as given in relevent IS for each structural member. f) Extracting concrete by using core cutting machine of required diameter as per IS 516 (Pt-4) ASTM C42M-99 , SP :24 & BS 1881 part-120, having facility to take core at any required angle .Core shall be taken such that reinforcment shall not cut while taking samples complete all as directed.No of tests carried out shall be as given in relevent IS for each structural member.

g) Conducting carbonation test by drilling of hole in RCC or form broken samples of concrete as per IS -516 Part 5 complete as directed by GE.No of tests carried out shall be as given in relevent IS for each structural member. h) Chemical analysis of concrete by conducting tests like PH, SO3 & chloride content in hardened concrete specimen as per BS 1881 Part-124 complete as directed by GE. No of tests carried out shall be as given in relevent IS for each structural member. i) Conducting Non Destructive test for locating reinforcement and bar cover using rebar detection system all as directed by GE. No of tests carried out shall be as given in relevent IS for each structural member.

j) The consultant shall submit five sets (hard copies) alonwith soft copy of the following documents:- (i) The findings from detailed and visual inspection alonwith suggested remedial measures. (ii) Findings the probable causes of damages, seepage/leakages and status of external plumbing installations. (iii) Test reports of all the tests carried out as brought out above including all testing methodology ,stucture scanning,stress curve,graphs etc. as required by Engineer-in-charge. (iv) Analysis reports & videos alongwith rectification and repairs involved in each building to restore the building. Structurally complete.

(v) Approximate Estimate Pt- I & II including bills of quantities for analysis & rectification complete with all market analysis of rates with quotations of minimum theree vendors in support of rates applied.

k) A certificate shall be rendered by the consultant regarding balance future life of buildings and its safety for occupants duly vetted by Govt Engineering college/ IIT / NIT before completion of work.

a) Consultant shall go through the drawings of buildings, relevent IS codes and carryout site inspection of buildings to ascertain the quatum / number of tests of various kinds involved for complete structural audit of buildings before quoting his rates/offer. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained on this account at a later stage.

b) The structural audit shall be carried in buildings having height upto 12 metres. The rates quoted by consultant are inclusive of scaffolding and safety measures required to be taken for carrying out the work.

c) The spots/ area from where the samples are taken for testing shall be made good/ filled with cement concrete M-25 and cement plaster 1:3 and necessary painting to make good distrubed surface etc.

d) The quoted rates shall be inclusive of taking down of cement plaster, demolition of cement concrete, excavation, returning filling and removal of soil where required for testing purpose and nothing extra shall be payable on this account.

e) Water will not be supplied by MES. f) The number of tests of all types shall be carried out be as per relevent IS code and reports for all such tests shall be submitted by consultant to the Engineer-in-charge. However if more number of tests shall be considered necessary by consultant /GE as per site requirement for proper assessment the same shall be carried out without any extra cost to the Govt. and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

g) As the buildings are very old the deptt may not be able to provide all data, drawings and documents related to the building. However the data as available with the deptt shall be made available to the consultant. All the necessary works related to the job component shall be under the of work.

h) The rate quoted by contractor shall include all proffessional charges for all the consultancy services mentioned above and nothing extra shall be admissible over and above the quoted rates.
