IMPORTANT NOTES TO THE CONTRACTOR

Since the entire site activity is planned at green belt site which is planted with almost 10,000 trees ,care shall be taken by contractor to see that their site activities does not hamper the trees at site and the workers of TNFD maintaining the green belt in any manner.

Contractor should make own arrangements for safeguarding of individual materials and tools at site.Any loss in this account will not be attributable to CPCL.

Considering the present Covid-19 situation, contractor shall ensure that sufficient manpower is available to take up the work and complete within the stipulated completion period without any delay adhering to all safety guidelines issued by Govt. in view of Covid-19. Also,Face mask and Hand gloves are mandatory as part of PPEs for all persons in addition to safety helmet,safety shoes,safety jackets etc.The entire work is to be executed giving utmost importance to safety.

The job includes taking levels and transferring as per the approved drawings throughout the period of work. No separate payment will be made for levelling and surveying including equipments and materials required for surveying along with skilled labour at site as per the site requirement.

Dewatering of accumulated /sub soil water from any source and keeping the surface dry for subsequent works will be in the contractor scope and no extra payment will be made.

The entire work is to be executed outside CPCL premises at Amullaivoyal / Vaikkau Villages and all the equipments, tools and tackles, construction materials for the work to be transported and stored at site without hindering the Green Belt Development project by TNFD

Formation of approach to the construction site wherever required will be in the contractor scope and No extra payment will be made by CPCL.Especially during rains ,contractor to make own arrangement for accesing the site of work and no additional payment will be made for formation of approach.

The Construction site is outside the Refinery Premises, hence it is contractor responsiblity to take necessary measures for handling local problems /issues and to safeguard materials, equipments and personnels. CPCL will not be in a position to address issues arising out of local problems and no extra payment will be made by CPCL.

Construction power and construction water is in contractor scope.

EARTHWORK: Earthwork in excavation in all types of soil, including soft or hard murrum, but excluding soft and hard rock, using mechanical means (Hydraulic Excavators) / Manually for depth upto 1.5m,including removal of vegetation, shrubs and debris, cutting and dressing of sides in slopes, levelling, grading and ramming of bottoms, compacting excavated area with earth rammer/plate compactor, dewatering of accumulated/sub-soil water from any source and keeping the surface dry for subsequent works and disposal or stacking of excavated material within a lead of 100m, as directed including providing temporary supports to existing water pipes etc. all complete as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Same as item No. 110 but for depths beyond 1.5m upto 3.0m.

Supplying and filling approved M SAND of specified quality under floors, plinths, foundations etc. for all depths including the cost of sand, labour charges,tools and tackles,royalties, transportation to site for all leads and lifts, including loading, unloading, spreading in layer not exceeding 150 mm, watering, ramming, compacting with mechanical compactors and/ or other equipment to specified level all complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

TRANSPORTING & DISPOSING the SURPLUS EARTH & DEBRIS including shrubs and vegetations from construction area (beyond the initial lead of 100m) to designated areas up to a lead of 3km including re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, transportation, loading, unloading, laying at all depths & heights, stacking, levelling and dressing both areas (viz., from where the earth is transported and where it is deposited) to required levels and slopes complete with all lifts as directed by Engineer in Charge.( Note: If measured by stacks 30% voids will be deducted.)

PCC 1:4:8 : Providing and laying PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE (PCC) 1:4:8 by volume (1Cement : 4 M-Sand:8 Coarse aggregate) with OPC 53 grade and 40mm & down size graded crushed stone aggregates for all depths wherever required like under foundations , under toe wall filling or any other works etc., including shuttering, tamping, ramming, vibrating, curing, etc. all as specified in any shape, position, thickness and finishing the top surface rough or smooth as specified and directed all complete including cement cost etc, all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE (PCC)1:2:4 by volume (1Cement : 2 M-Sand:4 Coarse aggregate) with OPC 53 grade and 20mm & down size graded crushed stone aggregates for all depths and heights wherever required like in toe walls/kerb walls or any other works etc., tamping, ramming, vibrating, curing, etc. all as specified in any shape, position, thickness and finishing the top surface rough or smooth as specified and directed all complete including cement cost etc. but excluding shuttering works alone, all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note: The quoted rate shall exclude Formwork/Shuttering and it will be paid separately in relevant items)

Providing and laying of REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE (RCC) 1:1.5:3 by volume (1cement: 1.5 M sand:3 aggregate) with OPC 53 grade and 20mm and down size graded crushed stone aggregate materials FOR SUB STRUCTURE upto plinth beam level for all depths including pavement, machine mixing, curing, consolidating with vibrator, cement cost etc all complete as per instructions of Engineer-in-Charge excluding cost of shuttering and reinforcement.

Same as Sl. No: 180 above,but for SUPER STRUCTURE at all heights and shapes including in inclined planes, above plinth beam level.

REINFORCEMENT STEEL: Supplying, fabricating and placing in position High strength deformed steel bar REINFORCEMENT (conforming to IS 1786, grade Fe500) for RCC work, straightening, cleaning, decoiling, cutting, bending to required shapes and lengths as per details, binding with contractor's own 16 Standard Wire Gauge(SWG) black soft annealed binding wire at every intersection, supplying and placing with proper cover blocks, supports, overlaps, welding spacers, lifting hooks etc for all heights & depths etc. removing of scraps from site, all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

FORMWORK: Providing, fixing FORMWORK including centering, shuttering ,strutting and propping in SUB STRUCTURE at all depths wherever required including removal of the shuttering after the specified period is over and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge complete with all materials, labour, consumables etc.(Form work shall be supplied by the contractor and shall remain the property of the contractor)

Providing, fixing FORMWORK including centering, shuttering ,strutting and propping in SUPER STRUCTURE at all heights wherever required including providing inclined/straight shuttering, removal of the shuttering after the specified period is over and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge complete with all materials, labour, consumables etc.(Form work shall be supplied by the contractor and shall remain the property of the contractor)

Supplying and fixing in position 25mm thick BITUMEN IMPREGNATED FIBRE BOARD conforming to IS:1838 of approved quality in expansion joints at all locations and levels etc. all complete as specified and directed by EIC.

Supplying and sealing EXPANSION JOINTS 25 mm wide and 12mm deep at all locations and levels with approved two part liquid POLYSULPHIDE SEALING COMPOUND as per IS:12118 including raking of joints etc. all complete as specified and as directed by EIC.

Providing and laying in position LIME: EARTH SLURRY by dry mixing 3% to 5% of lime by volume of available excavated earth . The rate shall include the cost of necessary materials, labour and machineries, transportation charges,labour costs,mixing the Lime with available excavated earth (avaliable excavated earth to be transported to the site from within a lead of 2km), manually or by machineries in compacted layers of 150mm each, curing and compacting ,compacting each layer with vibratory compactor and at inaccessible places with wooden / steel rammers. The subgrade is to be compacted up to 90 to 95% of maximum dry density (Standard Proctor Test) of lime mixed earth and the maximum dry density of lime earth shall be arrived by conducting Standard Proctor Test as per IS 2720 Part-7.The density of lime mixed earth may be ensured at field by conducting field density test as per IS 2720 Part – 29 as directed by the EIC, testing,curing, tools and tackles, making the surface good to receive the finishes, protecting the newly placed Lime Slurry from rain / heat with PVC sheets , making necessary arrangements for clearing the area of debris, providing required labour and hoisting at all levels ,leads and lift etc.complete as directed by EIC.

Providing and laying BRICK MASONRY in both sub structure & superstructure with bricks of Class 5.0 in cement mortar 1:5 (1 Cement:5 M Sand) for all depths & heights including the cost of materials, labour,tools and tackles, scaffolding/staging, sampling and testing, soaking of bricks, cutting and laying of bricks, providing recesses, finishing the joints flush below ground level , curing, etc. all complete as per specifications, and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing WIRE CUT BRICK MASONRY in both sub structure and super structure with cement mortar 1:6 (1cement:6 M sand) for all depths and heights, including the cement cost , tools & tackles, labour required to complete the job, rendering the full face with 1:3 CM as per the specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing 15mm THICK CEMENT PLASTER in cement mortar 1:4 (1Cement:4 M sand) on PCC/RCC surfaces including preparation of base, cleaning, scaffolding if required, finishing, curing including mouldings and providing grooves in plaster etc. as specified for all heights including labour charges,tools and tackles,material costs etc. as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supplying and applying two coats of WEATHER PROOF EXTERIOR EMULSION PAINT of approved brand of required shade and including a priming coat with emulsion primer of approved brand of the same including necessary scaffolding and surface preparation, sand papering, filling all holes and depressions, cracks with putty, etc. all complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and fixing 18mm thick machine cut, mirror polished, premoulded and pre-polished GRANITE for paving,wall cladding etc. of approved quality for shelves of required size of approved shade, colour, and texture laid 20mm thick base cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement:4 MSand) with joints treated with white cement, mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, including machine polishing to edge to give high gloss finish, curing, moulding & nosing etc. complete at all levels as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply, fabricating, transporting to site and erecting in position STAINLESS STEEL HANDRAIL of SS 304 grade as per drawing using steel of shape round,square or rectangular hollow tubes/Solid rod/Sheet etc. including supply and fixing of all materials and fixing,material costs,labour charges,all inserts and embedments etc. all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supplying, transporting, storing, fabricating & erecting in position bolted and / or welded STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS like angles,channels, beams, plates,hollow sections confirming to IS: 2062/IS:4923 etc.at all heights & levels and locations including all builtup sections/ compound sections made out of rolled sections and / or plates / bent plates angle post & strut for compound wall concertina coil fixing (includes bottom to be split and bent and drilling holes upto 30mm dia) cutting to required size, straightening/bending if required, edge preparation,cleaning, scrapping & welding of unsound joints in existing structural members, preheating, (including sealing of box section with continuous welding ) finishing edges by grinding , fixing in line and level with temporary bracings, including providing staging, scaffoldings, & working platforms at all heights, and removal of same after erection,including preparing the surface for painting , surface cleaning, wire brushing, removal of mill scale, dust, rust, oil or grease, etc complete. including providing paint system as follows:(a) Applying inorganic zinc silicate coat 75 micron DFT(b) Two coats of Epoxy primer paint 75 micron DFT each(c) Two coats of Anti Rust epoxy top coat paint 100 micron DFT each as per manufacturer's specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE:-One coat of Zinc silicate and one coat of Epoxy primer shall be applied on structural steel surfaces in fabrication yard prior to erection as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply, fabricating, transporting to site and erecting in position MS GRILLS as per drawings using steel hollow tubes,solid rods,sheets in round,square,traingular or rectangular shapes for architectural works above compound wall confirming to IS:2062 / IS:1161 including supply and fixing in compound wall as per requirement etc, all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Rate shall include material costs,labour charges,all inserts and embedments. The rate shall also include two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer.

Supply and paving COBBLE STONE of any colour 100mmx100mmx100mm - four side machine cut with 20mm thick base Cement Mortar 1:2, with labour etc. all complete as specified by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and paving PEBBLES STONE of any colour 25-45mm thk, with 20mm thick base Cement Mortar 1:2, with labour etc. all complete as specified by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and paving GRASS PAVER 80mm thk 300x300mm laid in earth with grass in Basant beton or any equivalent brand,for any colour material with labour all complete. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge..

Supply and paving GRANITE STEPPING STONE 30-50mm thk in any Size laid in earth with grass ,for any colour material with labour all complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge..

Providing and laying of premium quality EXTERIOR TILE - Rokedge Mica gris- 600x 600x16mm of Pavit or approved equivalent , MATT FINISH ,nonslip, decorative type of tiles, approved make with bed of 20mm thick cement mortar 1:3 in line and level including cleaning the finished surfaces with oxalic acid including skirting out the joints, flush pointing of joints of tiles with cement paste/grout mixed with colour pigments matching the shade of tiles, with material costs,tools and tackles, labour charges etc. as per specifications, standards and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge as per drawing.

Supply, Installation and due completion of KONGU WOOD for Pergola & Bridge Handrail & Flooring as per drawing - .Beam in Kongu Wood Fitted on the post or Brick Work Structure,Fins in Kongu Wood inserted fitted on the Wooden beam with neccessary fixture, Kongu Wooden Planks and Handrail fixed in Steel Bridge with neccessary fixture and MRF premium two pack polyurethane clear wood finish for exteriors as specified.etc. all complete as per specifications, and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and fixing 16mm thick POLYCARBONATE SHEET for roofing above pergola of approved brand and manufacture ,including providing and fixing top & bottom pivot & spring type fixing arrangement and making necessary holes etc. for fixing required bold,clamp fittings ,all complete as per direction of engineer in charge.

Supply and Providing DRY STONE PITCHING 22.5 cm thick laid in courses and required profile with hammer dressed stones having no side less than 15 cm, with minimum depth of 20 cm including preparing the bedding surface and pointing in CM 1:3(1cement and 3 M-sand) etc. with all complete. (Note: Rate includes supply of stones and cement, M-Sand and all other materials)

Supply and Providing 300mm thick CLAY LINING in the below surface of ponds in three layers and Each layer is then repeatedly trampled to remove all the air including material, labour and transportation charges.etc all complete as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Supply, Installation and fixing of GRANITE BOLLARD 230 mm dia and 650mm in height as per drawing - fixing the Bollard in Cement concrete pedestal in ratio 1:2:4. Rate including cutting,hoisting,fixing in position,cement concrete pedestal works etc. complete at all levels as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying 60mm thick factory made cement concrete interlocking RUBBER MOULD PAVER BLOCK of M30 grade made by block making machine with strong vibratory compaction, of approved size, design & shape, laid in two or more colour and pattern over and including 150mm thick compacted bed of M sand filling and filling the joints with sand etc. all complete as per the direction of Engineer in Charge.

Supply of JCB on hire basis on all working days from Monday to Saturday on 8 hrs.shift including driver,assistant /fuel/oil/lubricants /all consumables etc. complete. The quoted rate should include mobilization, operator crew/driver /assistant cost, tools, tackles etc., as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supply of POCLAIN-PC 200 on hire basis including fuel/oil/lubricants for excavating , levelling to required slopes and dumping at designated places within the site premises. The quoted rate should include mobilization, operator crew/driver cost, loading, transporting, unloading, tools, tackles etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Same as Sl. No: 460 above, but for supply of TIPPERS of capacity upto 10 Cu.m

Same as Sl. No: 460 above, but for supply of TAURUS/approved equivalent TIPPERS of capacity minimum 15 Cu.m.

Supply of 20 FEET TRAILER WITH TRACTOR on hire basis on all working days from Monday to Saturday on 8 hrs.shift ,inclusive of driver,one assistant,all consumables like diesel etc.,with all safety precautions within the designated site premises.The quoted rate should include mobilization, operator crew's/driver /assistant cost, loading, transporting , unloading,2 nos. of unskilled labour for loading and unloading, tools, tackles,wire ropes,pulley blocks,belts,chains etc. for lifting,aligning,tying,stacking etc. all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Same as Sl.No No. 490 above but for TRACTOR WITH TRAILER of minimum capacity 2.5 Cu.m.

Providing and Laying Reinforced NP3 CLASS (MEDIUM DUTY) RCC HUME PIPE of 300mm dia. with collars jointed with stiff mixture of cement mortar in the proportion of 1:2 (1cement:2M sand) for crossing the poposed driveway/pathway etc.including cutting, lowering, laying in position , with proper level, slope , testing of joints etc. as per specifications and directed by Engineer -in-Charge.

Supply of UNSKILLED LABOUR to carry out petty works not assessable for measurements/minor repair works, on day-to-day basis. The rates shall include ESI, PF, payroll cost and allowances, fringe benefits, overhead supervision, profits and hand tools.
