Dismantling/removing of unserviceable spare parts of overhead travelling portions and moving portions for EOT/HOT cranes of capacity upto 10 Ton at sight and replacement of the defective parts and re-assembeling connected acessories including its electric connections complete all as directed by Engr- in- charge. One crane Mechanic along with helper shall be present during the maintenance process of cranes. Require spares for maintenace shall be measured and paid for separately. Cost of any minor spares required other than specified here- in- below shall be deemed to have been included in unit quoted rate. (Note:- (i) Spare parts shall be ordered on the contactor in writing by the Engineer-in-charge as and when required from sl No 2 to 20. (ii) Contractor shall have no claim what-so-ever in the event of ordering / non ordering the spares in full or part . (iii) Make and model of the parts to be replaced shall be same as of existing parts of cranes.( Make of the cranes are Tib Udyog - 06 nos and Electromech -01 no). (iv) T&P and arrangement of Hydraulic ladders/ scaffolding systems etc and other testing equipments shall be arranged by the contractor.

(Note: Contactors, auxiliary contactor,OLR, fuses, MCBs, cables shall be measured and paid for separately against each burnt spares as supply only rate (from item nos 23 to 35).

Dismantling of motors upto 1.5KW capacity, from crane and carry to work shop, rewinding with existing gauge of super enameled copper winding wire of superior quality with proper insulation and bringing back and refixing on crane with proper alignment with gear boxes etc., including testing on completion, complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No. 35 above but capacity of motor 1.5 KW to 3.7 KW.

Taking down and overhauling of chain pulley blocks of capacity 0.5 Ton to 3 Ton cross travel unit of EOT/HOT crane by applying suitable oils and grease wherever required and applying cadmium compound to wire ropes including supplying and replacing un-serviceable bolts and nuts .

Carrying out alignment of EOT/HOT crane tracks on both sides including gas cutting ,welding and grinding for smooth movement of girder for long travel and cross travel upto 8 ton capacity crane.

All as per item No. 39 above but capacity of crane 5 to 10 Ton.

Carrying out load test on EOT cranes upto 5 Ton capacity under 110% of full load capacity of cranes on hoisting, long travel and cross travel for checking the performance including deflection test with necessary manpower, instruments complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (NOTE: 1. Arrangements of Load / deflection test for cranes shall be carried out by the contractor in presence of rep of the Accepting Officer & user rep and recording of test result & certificateshall be kept on record.

All as per item No. 41 above but capacity of crane 5 to 10 Ton.

S&F in replacement of Hand chain of 2 ton HOT crane as per existing size, make and model.

S&F in replacement of Ratchet gear and ratchet pawl of 2 ton HOT crane.

M&L for preparing of old painted external surfaces by scrapping, cleaning using wire brush, sand paper etc. and painting the surfaces existing colour by applying a coat of primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint for EOT cranes of capacity upto 5 Ton complete including end carriages, double and single gantry, motors, gear boxes, bottom hook blocks, platform structure, gantry girders etc

All as per item No. 48 above but capacity of crane 5 to 15 Ton.

Comprensive and preventive maintenance including replacing all the unserviceable / worn out spares to keep the EOT/HOT cranes for trouble free functioning as specified in PS here-in-after. Job shall be carried out every three months period to check and made serviceable for the maintenance for each crane up to 10 Ton capacity installed at various locations all as directed by Engr -in- Charge and satisfactory test certificate shall be kept on record. Periodic cheking are not carried out in these period the recovery will be taken from contracctor @ Rs 300/ per day from delay period.
