Material and labour for carrying out water proofing treatment for roofs in the following stages and as directed by Engr-in-Charge”.

(i) Material and labour for 10mm thick plaster in CM 1:4 with WPC will be applied over the roof slab . After the plaster is cured the roof will be tested for water tightness by ponding with water for seven days for any seepage/leakages etc. If any seepage is observed the rectification will be carried out by pressure grouting under the pressure of 5 Kg/Sqcm using cement based cement grout. After the surface is repaired the slab will be tested for water tightness again before proceeding with further treatment complete all as specified and directed.

(ii) The surface of roof, parapet and gutters, drain mouths, etc. over which waterproofing treatment is to be applied shall be cleaned of all foreign matter wuch as fungus, moss, dust etc by wire brushing and dusting. For cast iron drain out lets a grove shall be cut around to tuck in the treatment. Concrete angle-fillets shall be provided at junctions between roofs and vertical faces of walls (parapet and other walls), around obstacles such as pipes, chimneystacks, etc and other similar situation to ease up about comers complete all as specified and directed.

(iii) Bituminous based primer conforming to IS : 3384-1965 @ 0.3 Kg/Sqm to be applied on prepared surface, till the surface is properly impregnated.

(iv) One coat of hot blown bitumen of grade 85/25 @ 1.2kg /sqm shall be applied over primed surfaces.

(v) After the application of approved bituminous primer the water proofing membrane of 3 mm thickness @ 3 to 3.5 Kg/Sqm shall be laid on the primed surface by torch application method as per manufacturer’s instruction. The overlap while torching shall be 100 mm in longitudinal direction and 100 mm in transverse direction. All overlap joints shall be sealed thoroughly by thermofusing both the membrane layer and sealing it with the help of hot trowel. The overlap joints shall be made as a monolithic layer.

(vi) All joints and changes in direction should be curved with cement mortar 1:3 mixed with SBR latex @ 200 ml per bag of cement and cured well before laying the membrane.

(vii) A fillet of PCC 1:2:4 of 100 x 100 mm shall be provided at all junctions of vertical and horizontal surfaces and wherever there is a change of direction. The membrane should not be taken over at any steep turns and hence all corners/junctions should be rounded. Applying two coats of silver shield paint (Aluminium bituminous based) over APP membrane 0.1 Kg/Sqm per coat in 12 hrs interval as per manufacturer's instrutions complete.

Material and labour for 40mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B0 using 12.5mm graded aggregate finished even & smooth without using extra cement mixed with WPC on bottom of sunken portion with proper slopes towards spout etc complete.

Taking down old Sheet metal enclouser and supply and fix new sheet metal enclouser cubical type factory fabricated made out of 1.6 mm thick CRCA sheet with front side openable single door system powder coated painted to shade RAL 7032, PL Gasket, hinged single door ,IP-55 mounting plate made out of 2mm thick CRCA sheet steel and earth bolts etc. of size 600x500x200mm all as speceified & directed by Engr-in- charge. Note :-- Cost of any minor modification if required in fixing of the sheet metal enclouser as per site requirement and making good the disturbed surfaces matching with existing finish, will be deemed to be included in the cost of this item.
