Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of M.S Rising Main at LISWadipora of MISD Handwara.

Manufacture, supply, laying, fitting/ installation, welding end to end, painting, testing and commissioning of 125 mm nominal diameter, 4.8 mm thick mild steel pipes for rising main of lift irrigation scheme Wadipora, Rajwar, Handwara in District Kupwara. The pipes are to be connected from Y- Junction to Delivery point i.e. RD-0 to RD-430 including connection with Y-junction. The pipes shall be provided in standard single random length of 4-7 meters with ends duly Bevelled. The pipes shall be fabricated out of M.S Plates properly rolled and finished. The pipes are to be used as rising main for carrying 01 cusec pumped water with moderate/ cool operating temperature. The pipes are to be laid underground in trenches of suitable size to be excavated by the firm in such a way that a cushion of at least 02 feet shall remain over the fitted pipes. Job includes refiling of the excavated material over the fitted/ installed pipes. The alignment of the rising main passes through paddy fields from start to end. Charges include cost on account of all handling, dragging, loading, unloading and stacking/ watch and ward at site if required. The pipes are to be welded end to end using superior class welding electrodes. Before welding end to end, edges of the pipes are to be prepared with smooth tapers to form V-Groove for proper circumferential welded joints. Welding shall be carried out in at least two runs. Standard welding procedure shall be adopted using portable generator at site and means of shifting it from spot to spot. Job includes fabrication of offsets, bends etc. required if any, for smooth laying of rising main as per site requirement. Job further includes dewatering of the excavated trench if required for proper laying/ welding of the said rising main. Extra excavation required at un even spots of the contour for proper levelling and alignment of the rising main shall also be in the scope of the contract. The pipes are to be painted with metal primer and two coats of anti-corrosive black bituminous paint before embedding. No tools and tackles, handling arrangements, fuels, lubes, required machines and watch and ward shall be provided by the department. Job includes testing of rising main on full load after completion of works at site in all respects.
