Specification for Comparator for colour measurement of water The Colour measurement instrument will be portable and integrated instrument of following units; 1. Comparator 2. Test discs 3. Nessleriser with tube The colour measurement will be conducted as per ASTM D1209, ISO 6271 Range-Visual Colour Grading of Platinum-Cobalt/Hazen/APHA Colour(Range 0 - 250 mg) The instrument will be portable, modular, versatile and rugged and must support field testing. The test results must be completed without any addition of reagents. The comparator will have single eye window that may bring the glass standards of the test discs and coloured sample in to same field of view. The discs will come with the life time warranty for glasses colour fastness and will not fade. The unique feature of disc incorporates colour glass standard that are stable and not affected by UV light or extreme environmental conditions. The coloured glass in the disc will be resistant to chemicals and scratch proof. The glasses will comply with ISO 6271 & ASTMD1209. The disc of following measuring range will be supplied; 1. Hazen scale disc Range: -0-30 mg Pt/l. The Disc will have glasses for colour measurement of following readings 0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 mg pt/l. The disc will have serial number will be supplied with certificate of conformance mentioning that disc has satisfied the relevant inspection criteria and confirm to the requirement of colour measurement. There will be option to change the discs for high range of colour measurement up to 250 mg pt/l.
