Consultancy for Soil Investigation for Provision of Indoor Badminton Court for Officers at CGDHQ-3 New Mangalore

PART -I MOBILISATION & DEMOBILISATION Making necessary arrangement Mobilization & Demobilization for of equipment tools &plant, personnel,etc. required for soil investigation and their removal after satisfatory completion of work, in land including slushy areas for carrying out soil investigation of 03 bore holes including shifting of entire arrangement from one bore hole to another hole location and setting for boring/drilling rig as shown on drg Note:- The rate includes errecting the setup at first bore hole location. PART-II FIELD TESTS (a) Boring of 03 Nos boreholes 150mm diia up to 12.0 mtrs depth in any type of strata by using rotary drill method with MS casing as per IS : 1892. (Re-affirmed 2002) (i) Boring and collection of samples from GL as per the above II(a) upto refusal and a minimum depth of 3.0 M into the rock for 03 bore holes. (ii) Collection of disturbed/undisturbed soil sample (UDS) as per IS-2132-1986at at 3.0 M interval or at any change of strata in 100mm bore thin walled tube including waxing, sealing, packing and transporting to the lab of 03 boreholes in walled tube including waxing, sealing, packing and transporting to the lab of 03 boreholes. (iii) Carrying out standard penetration test (SPT) as per IS 2131-1981 (Re-affirmed 2002) including collection of samples @ every 1.50m interval or change of strata of all 03 boreholes. (iv) Collecting water samples from the 03 bore holes.

PART -III TRIAL PIT (i) Excavation for trial pit to a size 1.2 Mx1.2 M depth 4.0 M and collection of samples PART-IV LABORATORY TESTS (a) Conducting necessary tests on all collected samples from 03 boreholes and one trial pit which includes the determination of : (i) Atterburg limits (ii) Natural moisture content (iii) Wet and dry density (iv) Soil/Particle size using hydrometer analysis (v) Tri-axial shear test C&D (vi) Shrinkage limit (vii)Consolidation test (viii) Specific gravity test (ix) Crushing strength of rock samples,degree of weathering(CR Value) and ROD of rock samples (x) Permeability test (xi) Chemical analysis on soil samples (xii) Chemical analysis on water samples (xiii) Vane shear test (xiv) Salinity test (xv) Grain size analysis,identification & classification of soil (xvi) Liquid limit, plastic limit, shrinkage limit, plasticity index, Swell pressure, Free Swell Index. (xvii) Shear parameters (xviii) Depth of water table below ground level

(vi) If pile foundation are required then depth of pile foundation including dia of pile and pile capacity in compression,uplift & lateral loads shall be given for 300mm dia,400mm dia,450mm dia,500mm dia for underreamed piles and 450mm dia,500,550,600,650,700,750,800 mm dia for long piles. (vii) Recommendations regarding type of foundation to be adopted & net SBC/recommendation of SBC for raft foundation at suitable depth (ie depth of 4.0m) to be adopted shall be given Note: Ht of the Bldg -9.4 Mtrs Details of Bldg: One Indoor Badminton Court of Plinth Area 398.97 Sqm as shown on site plan & line plan. Note :- (i) Complete Report is to be vetted from IIT/NIT/Govt Engg. College. (ii) The work is very urgent, no extension will be granted in any case.
