SPECIAL REPAIRS TO EXTERNAL ELECTRIC SUPPLY SYSTEM AND ALLIED WORKS AT AVADI MILITARY STN UNDER GE AVADI

Earthwork excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m depth and getting out in soft / loose soil for laying cables / pipes / erection of poles etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Excavation shall be carried out manually at certain location where directed by the Engineer-in-Charge to avoid breakage of existing Electrical and water connections. Rate quoted by the contractor shall deemed to be include for the manual excavation.

Removing excavated material (soil) to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in soft / loose soil including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for filling the fine seived excavated dry soil as in cushioning to underground cable 8cm before laying the cable and 15cm after laying the cable and punned down to 18 cm thick complete all as specified. Note: Thickness shall be measured after punning.

M&L for unreinforced precast concrete cable cover, class HV , type 1, flat , size 300mmx180mmx40mm covering protection to the electric cable laid dry flat transversally along the length of cable on sand cushioning complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, laying, commissioning and testing of HT XLPE insulated, screended, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable (heavy duty) 6.35/11 KV suitable for 11000 volts grade (earthed cable) with stranded aluminium conductor of size 95 sqmm 3 core complete all as specifed. Note: (a) For MH Feeder cable shall be laid in HVF premises and necessary permission shall be obtained from HVF before commencement of work by the contractor . (b) The routine tests and acceptance tests as per IS 7098 (Part –II) shall be carried out at factory premises and contractor should submit paid couchers for cable alongwith the test report.

Supply and lay GI tubes, 'light grade' galvanised 80mm bore with all fittings laid in trenches for drawing cables under road/drain crossings etc., complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting of road/path for laying of GI tubing and making the good to disturbed road/ path including provision of PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate all as specified and directed.

M&L for boring / drilling hole upto 75mm bore under the road without disturbing the top surface of the road in any type of soil by manually for laying cables,pipes etc without disturbing and damaging the road portion by using necessary tools,plants,machinery and equipments as required complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : (a) Necessary infrastructure such as tools, Plants,Machinery and other equipments as required for boring shall be arranged by the Contractor and quoted rates shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (b) GI pipe shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items

M&L for plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation of poles and cable route indicator complete all as specified and as directed.
