Repair and maint of lightning conductors including earthing of various bldgs of Chieswema grn.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600 mm X 600 mm X 6 mm thick, burried directly in ground (earth 2.25 Mtr deep below normal ground level connected to galvanised iron wire of 4 mm dia earth lead/galvanised iron strip 25 x 5 mm by means of bolts, nuts, washer and check nut of galvanized steel, earth wire protected by and including GI pipe 15 mm bore (light grade) and connected to main test point as directed and including concrete pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C1, pre cast@ 150mm C/C both ways with one handle for lifting, made out of 8mm dia TMT bar embeded in pre cast cover, wiremesh funnel, 20mm bore GI pipe (Medium grade) for watering, charcoal and salt in alternative layers of 15cm thick all around the electrode, including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil including taking out old UNSV earth plate electrode etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. (ii) Galvanized iron wire of 4 mm dia/ Galvanized iron strip 25x 5 mm earth lead shall be measured and paid separately under respective item of this schedule of works of BoQ.

Supplying and laying 6 SWG G.I. wire at 0.50 metre below ground level for conductor earth electrode, including connection/ termination with GI thimble etc. as required.

Supplying and laying 25 mm X 5 mm G.I strip at 0.50 metre below ground as strip earth electrode, including connection/ terminating with G.I. nut, bolt, spring, washer etc. as required. (Jointing shall be done by overlapping and with 2 sets of G.I. nut bolt & spring washer spaced at 50mm)

Providing and fixing of lightning conductor finial, made of 25 mm dia 300 mm long, G.I. tube, having single prong at top, with 85 mm dia 6 mm thick G.I. base plate including holes etc. complete as required.

Providing and fixing G.I. tape 20 mm X 3 mm thick on parapet or surface of wall for lightning conductor complete as required.(For horizontal run)
