Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

The Tenderer is required to ensure browser compatibility of the computer well in advance to the last date and time for receipt of tenders. The departments shall not be responsible for non-accessibility of e-Procurement Portal due to internet connectivity issues and technical glitches at Tenderers end.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

If the Tenderer makes any alterations in the conditions of the contract or puts any condition of his own, such tenders are liable for rejection.

The bidder shall quote in Indian Rupees only.

The price quoted shall be firm and shall exclude GST, include transportation, accommodation, insurance charges and other miscellaneous expenses.

Tenderer should have independent PF Registration Certificates. The Tenderer shall remit PF contribution of labours to Contractors permanent PF number only and not to the KPCL PF sub code.

The tender shall be valid for 180 days from the date of opening.

The Corporation does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid and reserves the right to select from any bid, only such services as may be considered expedient to accept.

The original documents should be produced for verification at any stage of tender process as and when sought for, failing which, the bids are liable for disqualification.

The tender document is part and parcel of the agreement.

KPCL shall recover the Income Tax at the prevailing applicable rates. All applicable TDS will be affected as per GoK / GoI tax regulations.

Financial bid shall be submitted in the e-Portal only and not upload the same in Technical bid, failing which Tender will be rejected. e-Mail / Fax tenders shall not be accepted.

Any other job not specifically mentioned but reasonably implied to be executed for satisfactory completion of the job in all respects shall have to be carried out by the Contractor without any extra cost. Decision of Engineer-in-charge shall be final and binding in this regard.

In case of death of a contractor after executing the agreement/commencement of the work, his legal heir (to be intimated at the time of execution of agreement by the successful contractor), if any eligible registered contractor and willing, can execute and complete the work at the accepted tender rates irrespective of the cost of the work after obtaining approval from competent authority.

Corrigendum / Modification / Corrections, if any, will be published in the e-Procurement Portal web site only.

Clarification, if any, can be obtained from The Executive Engineer (MM) MGHE, Mahatma Gandhi Hydro Electric Works, Karnataka Power Corporation Limited, Jog Falls - 577435, Sagara Taluk, Shivamogga District, Karnataka State, during working hours (Monday to Friday between 08:30Hrs to 16:30Hrs, Saturday between 08:30Hrs to 12:30Hrs, Sunday Weekly Off) of the Corporation.

Past Experience

To qualify for award of this contract, each tenderer in its name should have in the last five financial years (i.e. 2021-22 to 2025-26) satisfactorily completed as prime contractor at least one similar work such as Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning / Retubing and Reconditioning of heat exchangers for power stations of value not less than Rs. 5.09 Lakh. In proof of the above, work done certificate along with relevant work order copy issued from the competent authority shall be furnished.

Financial Status

To qualify for award of this contract, each tenderer in his name should have in the last five financial years (i.e. 2021-22 to 2025-26) achieved in at least two financial years an average annual financial turnover of Rs. 10.18 Lakh. In proof of above, turnover certificate OR profit and loss and balance sheet duly certified by Chartered Accountant shall be furnished.
