SPECIAL REPAIR MODIFICATION OF CHARPOY GI PIPE AT UMROI UNDER GE UMROI

Removing the existing unserviceable nylon newar from GI Charpoy, tightening of all components of GI Charpoy and supply and fixing 12 mm thick plywood , BWR grade, ISI marked conforming to the requirement of IS: 303-1989,commercial face both side including provision of 03 Nos, 25x5 mm mild steel flat iron stiffner duly bolted with long rails at equal spacing. MS flat shall be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of zinc chrome primer 10 Nos flush headed bolts and nuts with washer shall be provided for fixing of plywood in the short/long rail. Edges of plywood shall be smoothened all around and corners shall be rounded and smoothened as directed by engineer-in-Charge. One coat of water resistant adhesive (marine grade) shall be given to edges all around after smoothening the edges complete all as specified and as directed by engineer-in Charge . Note:- Any repair to the damaged parts of charpoy before fixing of plywood as directed shall be carried out which shall be paid seperately under relevant items given below.

Dismantling of existing unserviceable broken long rail of charpoy GI pipe and supply and fixing long rail made out of 32mm bore GI pipe medium grade ISI marked. The ends of the pipe shall be threaded as required for fixing with charpoy complete all as specified and shown on drawning or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Old serviceable long rail shall be kept in safe custody for reuse as short rail, legs and balance/unserviceable GI pipe shall be contractor's property against Sch of credit.

Taking out old unserviceable broken short rail from the frame of charpoy GI pipe and making short rail from old long rail obtained from serial item No. 2.00 above by cutting serviceable part to required length, threading both ends and fixing complete all as specified and shown on drawing or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: Old serviceable short rail shall be kept in safe custody for reuse as legs and balance/unserviceable GI pipe shall be contractor's property against Sch of credit.

Taking out old unserviceable GI legs rail from the frame and making legs from old long/short rail obtained from serial item No. 2.00 and 3.00 above by cutting serviceable part to required length, threading one end and blocking lower end of leg with block of hardwood of existing shape and size complete all as specified and shown on drawing or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: - Unserviceable GI pipe left after usage of usable pipe shall be contractors property under Schedule of Credit.

Taking out unserviceable 3 way GI elbow from frame and fixing GI 3 way elbow 32mm bore, ISI marked, medium grade length not less than 65mm in each way in place of old elbow complete all as specified and shown on drawing or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Unserviceable old elbow shall be contractors property against Sch of credit

Taking out unserviceable GI check nut from frame and fixing GI check nut, 5mm thick suitable for 32mm bore galvanised iron pipe in place of old unserviceable check nut complete all as specified and shown on drawing or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Unserviceable old check nut shall be contractors property against Sch of credit

Taking out unserviceable MNF clamp and fixing new MNF clamp made out of flat iron 25 x 3mm welded to GI pipe legs with the end clamp of leg closed with 5mm thick MS plate welded properly at the bottom of leg including painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of zinc chrome primer complete all as specified and shown on drawing or as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
