Improvements to the road from Kattur to E.Vadugapalayam via Karapalayam , Valayapalayam Km 7/400-9/400

Clearing light Jungles Grubbing road land including uprooting wild vegetation shrubs ,saplings and trees cut eariler and desposaal of unservicible materials and stacking includiall labour charges for burrying and burning etc., complete., ( In area of thorny jungle )

Construction of subgrade for 300 m depth by using picked material obtained from the existing surface by mechanial means and then adding 50% of deflect materials and the dust obtained from quarry with all its leads.

Excavation for roadwork in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers , trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines , gades and cross section and transporting to the embankment location with a lift upto 1.5 m and lead upto 1000 m

Construction of embankment using tractor with grader with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement .

Construction of subgrade and earthern shoulders with approved materials from borrow pits with all its lifts and leads ransporting to site and compacted to meet requirement .( Using Borrow pit Earth )

Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits with a lift upto 1.50 m , transporting to site , spreading , grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 with a lead upto 1000 m as per technical specification clause 301.50 (Gravel shoulder).

Granular subbase - Gr.III ( Table 400.1) construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material,spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface , mixing by mix in place method with rotavater @ OMC and compacting with three wheel 80-100KN static roller capacity to achive the desired density , complete as per technical specification Clause 402

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam-II specification including spreading in uniform thicjness , hand packing, rolling with three wheel 80-100 kn static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, crushable screening to fill- up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density grading 3 as per Technical specification (Grading II)

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thicjness , hand packing, rolling with three wheel 80-100 kn static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, crushable screening to fill- up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density grading 3 as per Technical specification (Grading III)

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (SS-1) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70-1.0 kg/sqm using mecahnical means as per Technical specification clause 502.

Cement Treated Soil Sub Base Providing , laying and spreading soil on a prepared sub - grade pulversing , adding the designed quantity of cement to the spread soil,mixing in place with rotavator ,grading with motor grader and compacting with the road roller @ OMC to achieve the desired 7 days unconfined compressive strength of 1.7 Mpa and to form a layer of sub-base as per Technical specification Clause 404

Tack Coat Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion (RS-1) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.90-1.2 kg/sqm using mecahnical means as per Technical specification clause 502.

Providing, laying, and rolling of open-graded Premix Carpet of 20mm thick composed of 13.2mm to 5.6mm aggregate either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line grader and level to serve as wearing course on previously prepared base including mixing in a suitable plant laying and rolling with three wheel 80 - 100 KN static roller capacity finised to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or C as per Technical Specification clause

SEALCoat Providing and laying seal coat sealng the voids in bituminous surface laid to the specified levels , grade and cross fall using Type A or Type B or C as per Technical Specification clause

Provision of Rumble strips with premix bituminous carpet provision of 15 nos rumble strips covered with premix bituminous carpet 15-20 mm high at centre 250 mm wide placed at 1 m centre to centre strips of road marking point
