SPECIAL REPAIR / REPLACEMENT OF HEAVILY RUSTED / CORRODED 400 MM DIA CENTRIFUGALLY CAST SPUN IRON PIPE FROM PORTHRAPUR WATER TREATMENT PLANT UNDER GE MINNIEBAY PORTBLAIR

Taking out existing 400 mm bore cast iron / ERW Mild steel water main with fittings / specials, spigot and socketed ends from trenches including sluice valve,air release valve and lead joints including burning out joints and recovering lead and fittings, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- (i) Excavation and earthwork shall be measured and paid for separately (ii) The dismantling and taking up work of existing pipe line shall be intiated only after the completion of laying of new pipe line and duly ensuring serviceability new line laid.

Excavating in trenches in soft / loose soil, n.exc 1.5m wide and n.exc 1.5m in depth: for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cessapits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n.exc 10 Sq.m on plan and in exc 1.5m in depth and getting out complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavating in trenches in soft / loose soil, additional 1.5m wide and part thereof in depth beyond the first 1.5m in depth for foundation,laying of pipe line complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25 cms in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material to a distance n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above starting point in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for precast cement concrete 1:2:4 type B2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregates as in mass concrete/foundation/for supporting (encasing) of DI pipes of any size and in any position including plastering of surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L in repair for framed work in stairs (framed) including stringers, treades, landing, balusters, hand rails etc. in?cluding cleats, brackets, etc. complete for supporting of 400 mm dia MS Pipe and two coat of anti-corrosive paint over a coat of red oxide primer including dismantling of rusted frame work complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supplying, laying, jointing, testing and commissioning of 400 mm bore centrifugally ductile (Spun) iron pressure pipe both end flange type, K-9 confirming to IS : 8329/2000 and rubber gasket jointing with nut bolt complete duly (ISI marked) laid in trenches/on support structure at any location/under runway complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supplying, laying, jointing, testing and commissioning of 400 mm bore , MS ERW Pipe as per IS 3589 (1981),. including welding, joining, bending and connected with old CI pipe of dia 400 mm etc and two coat of anti-corrosive paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note for item Nos. 8.00 & 9.00 : (i) Laying of pipe line shall not disturb routine/daily water supply pipe. (ii) Pipe line shall be laid in tandum with executives as directed (iii) Earth work and excavation will be measured and paid seperately under relevant items of Sch 'A'. (iv) The contractor shall provide team comprising of pipe fitter and an assistant for cutting and re-jointing with existing pipe line all as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. The cost for the above items including all type of tools and plants / any type of vehicle / earth moving plant / hitchi / JCB as required at site is deemed to be included in unit rate quoted for above items. (v) The contractor shall take due care while executing the work (i.e non damage of electrical cable, telephone cable, water supply pipe line etc) during execution of work if any fault / cutting occurred shall carry out repair immediately and cost of the same shall deemed to be included in quoted rates. (vi) During execution of work if any liaison required for laying of pipe at site, from civil Administative department, local people gram panchayat, police station etc are the sole responsiblity for contractor. The contractor shall not claim and financial liabilities on this matter on bills. (vii) The cost of necessary encasing of pipe in culvert shall deemed to be included in this quoted rate.

Supplying, fixing, testing and commisioning of cast iron air release valve kinetic type suitable for 400 mm bore water main, having flanged ends with two air outlets, 100 mm dia ISI marked, fixed with 400 x 100 mm, flanged Tee including jointing material such as nuts, bolts, washers and rubber sheet etc complete all as specified and directed Engr-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Cost of DI Tee is included in the unit rate of item nothing extra shall be paid on this account .

Supplying & fixing CI/DI fittings for spigot & socketed pipes such as bends (any type, radius and angle), tapers any type (straight, bend, increasing, decreasing or double socket etc),tee pieces, single branch, 'Y' junction, double branch, cross collar, caps and plugs, including lead etc. suitable for spigot and socketed/flanged pipes upto 400 mm bore, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L in repair for construction of brick masonry valve pit, of internal size 180cm x 180cm x 180cm including necessary excavation and earth work in soft/loose soil, brick work, plastering, white wash, PCC coping, MS frame made out of angle iron of size 40mmx40mmx6 mm, MS sheet cover of 3 mm thick fixed to angle iron frame by means of hinges welded to frame and painting with 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer on steel surfaces and grouting the frame in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 including handle and locking arrangement with one number 50 mm dia brass pad lock , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge Notes :- (i) Brick wall shall be 23 cm thick built in cement mortar (1:4) (ii) Internal plaster shall be 15 mm thick in cement mortar (1:4) and external plaster upto 450mm from top shall be 20mm thick in CM (1:6) and remaining external surface shall be flush pointing in CM (1:6) as the work proceeds. (iii) PCC in foundation shall be 15 cm thick in cement concrete (1:4:8) type D-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate extended 15 cm all around from the external face of the walls. (iv) PCC coping shall be 15 cm thick in cement concrete ( 1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate including grouting of angle iron frame in PCC. (v) Three coats of white wash to internal surfaces of valve pit. (vi) Depth of wall pit shall be reckoned from the top of PCC in foundation.

M&L for rubber tyton joints for spigot and socketed DI pipes and fittings of 400 mm bore, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fix Sluice valce class 1.6 PN of 400 mm bore CI/DI pipe, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge
