BOQ (REPAIR/MAINT OF WATER FILTRATION PLANT AND OTHER CONNECTED ITEMS AT AF STN SURATGARH)

Cleaning and scraching the surfaces of filter bed, walls, floor truffs , drains etc by wire brushes or otgher wise to remove the deposited mud and waste materials etc washing the filter bed with clean water complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Taking out U/S exiting filter media from filtter bed of any size/depth including removing material to distance exceeding 50 meter but not exceeding 100 meter complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and laying the natural gravel pebbles of size 20 mm to 40 mm grades complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and laying the natural gravel pebbles of size 10 mm to 20 mm grades complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and laying the natural gravel pebbles of size 06 mm to 10 mm grades complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and laying the natural gravel pebbles of size 02 mm to 06 mm grades complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and laying white silica sand filter media of effective size 0.5 mm to 2mm as per sample in GE office complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- 1. Gravel for filter bed shall be obtained from approved source and filter sand shall be as per sample Kept in GE office.

Supply only Calcium hypochloride having 65-70% chlorine content( Calcium based granular disinfectant) for general water treatment in factory sealed container/ drum of 45 KG packing complete all as specified and directed as per following specifications:- a. Particle size( passing through 1.70mm IS sieve). b. Max water insoluble matter- 6%. c. Max Calcium hydroxide- 4%. d. Max Sodium Chloride- 15%. e. Min Available chlorine- 65% by mass.

Taking out old slotted pipes of any type and size and S&F ductile Iron pipes of 100mm bore with flanged ends, Class “K-9”, having slots for filtered water as per the existing shape, size and pattern complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge.

Taking out unserviceable Sluice valve and Supply & Fixing only cast iron sluice valve of size 300 mm bore both end flanged, long body, class PN-1.6 conforming to IS 14846-2000 (ISI marked) with iron wheel and stainless steel spindle and fly nut, bolts, washers and rubber gasket etc,, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out unserviceable Sluice valve and Supply & Fixing only cast iron sluice valve of size 200 mm bore both end flanged, long body, class PN-1.6 conforming to IS 14846-2000 (ISI marked) with iron wheel and stainless steel spindle and fly nut, bolts, washers and rubber gasket etc, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply, Laying and testing MS pipes heavy grades (ERW steel) including cutting,bending and welding as per site requirement and specials with flanged and drilled ends, jointing materials like nuts, bolts and gasket etc of nominal dia 150 mm as per IS 1239 (1981) fixed in replacement of existing u/s complete by cutting road/footpath/ floor/ hard standing and making surface good as previous complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply, Laying and testing MS pipes heavy grades (ERW steel) including cutting,bending and welding as per site requirement and specials with flanged and drilled ends, jointing materials like nuts, bolts and gasket etc of nominal dia 200 mm as per IS 1239 (1981) fixed in replacement of existing u/s complete by cutting road/footpath/ floor/ hard standing and making surface good as previous complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply, Laying and testing MS pipes heavy grades (ERW steel) including cutting,bending and welding as per site requirement and specials with flanged and drilled ends, jointing materials like nuts, bolts and gasket etc of nominal dia 150 mm as per IS 1239 (1981) fixed in replacement of existing u/s and making surface good as previous complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : This work to be carried out at height for OHT Inlet/ outlet/ overflow/ washout etc line. All Safety measures for the safety of workmen shall be ensured by the contractor as work has to carried out at height. Insurance of workers shall also be got done by the contractor before execution of these items. For changing pipe's one length complete line 25/30 RM may have to dismantle and reassemble with new nuts bolts etc if needed as per site requirement. This aspect shall deemed to be included in quoted rates

Repairing of the leakage of any type pipe of any size of OHT used for incoming/ outgoing/ over flow/ washout lines by changing flange/ gasket/ nut bolts/ tyton/ welding work etc complete all as specified and directed by Eng in charge. Note : This work to be carried out at height for OHT Inlet/ outlet/ overflow/ washout etc line. All Safety measures for the safety of workmen shall be ensured by the contractor as work has to carried out at height. Insurance of workers shall also be got done by the contractor before execution of these items. For changing pipe's one length complete line 25/30 RM may have to dismantle and reassemble with new nuts bolts etc if needed as per site requirement. This aspect shall deemed to be included in quoted rates

Supply and fixing mettalic float ball and mettalic lever operated 200/150 mm valve fixed at water filteration plant, main water supply Maru Vihar. Note: Valve shall be same as per existing installed at filteration plant so before bidding contractor is advised to visit the water filteration plant Maru Vihar first. Contractor is liable to made the said valve fully functional after installation so any other items needed to made valve functional up to the satisfaction of Accepting officer/ Eng In Charge shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Dismantiling of cast iron work of any description

Supply and fixing joist channel angle or tee sections fixed independentely with out connecting plate Etc of Fe-410 W Gde E-250 quality A complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of plates ( plain or chequered ) channels squre cut or notched ordinary and counter sunk forming holes with riveted ,bolted or welded attachment FE-410W-( Gde-E 250 ) quality A for using pit cover, tank cover,Furculator etc.complete all as specified and directed .

Demolition of brick work or stone/boulder masonary built in cement mortar including all quions arches pillars etc, but excluding ashlar facings dressed stone work and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for Brickwork with subclass B bricks straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for Rendering 10mm thick on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces 1:4 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Demolition of concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and directed .

M&L for cement concrete in foundations filling and mass concrete Type D2 1:4:8 (40 mm graded aggregate) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for replacement of Earthing complete with galvanized iron or steel plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6.00 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically in pit of depth not less than 2.25 metre below normal ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level surrounded from all sides with mixture of charcoal and common salt in alternate layers and electrode connected to galvanized iron strip 25 x 4mm dia as earthing lead by means of GI bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers, earth strip protected by galvanized steel pipe 40 mm bore (light grade) connected to machinery/equipment all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR-2010 Part I and including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, 20mm bore light grade GI pipe for watering, funnel, wire mesh, PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 chamber, PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 reinforced with 6 mm dia MS round bars @ 15 cm c/c both ways for cover 50 mm thick and MS frame of suitable size made of angle iron 50 x 50 x 60 mm, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The unit rate includes earth lead and protection pipe up to maximum 7.5 metre from earth plate to earth point/test point. (ii) Earth pit shall be constructed minimum 0.5 metre away from existing earth.

Supply and fixing in replacement of old unserviceable earth continuity conductor of size 32x6mm galvanised iron strip along with all necessary jointing material complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling and taking down existing unserviceable chloronome plant/ bleaching dozer and replacement of unserviceable inlet/ outlet pipes, washers, gauge, foot valve, control valves, nozzles etc and refixing the same and testing after making fully functional complete all as specified and directed by Engr in charge.

Construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 120cmx120cmx120cm (Type 'B') (internal dimensions) of chamber, depth of chamber to be reckoned from the top of PCC in foundation to top of MS cover and including MS sheet cover fabricated from 3.15mm thick MS sheet and frame of angle iron 50x50x6mm with fixing arrangement, hinges and locking arrangement and painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide on MS cover and frame including necessary excavation earth work in any type of soil returning, filling in, disposal of surplus soil, PCC (1:2:4) work, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Ref drawing : CE AF/STD-28/94 sheet no 1/2 & 2/2 dated 01.02.94.

Dismantling the motors and gears of clarifloculator by disconnecting the electric connections carefully and repair/ replacement of worn out parts and bearings by oiling/greasing, lubricating the parts and reassembling the same for smooth functioning of the system complete all as specified and directed .

Dismantling the unserviceable Alum feeding motor along with electric winch to civil work shop for rewinding of motor, replacing the unserviceable relay switch of the winch, servicing and overhauling including all greasing work and refixing the same as existing and testing for smooth functioning complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling floor hearth or wall tiling including cement mortar bedding (but not backing), removing serviceable tiles to store and rubbish off the premises complete all as specifed and directed.

M & L non-skid ceramic coloured tiles 7 to 8 mm thick area of each tile exceeding 0.11 sqm but not exceeding 0.18 sqm, in floors etc.laid over and including 15 mm thick cement screed in CM 1:6, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out old broken and Supply and fixing armour of suitable size for cable protection/ covering complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out old broken wooden pieces fixed on flocculator's rotary part and supply and fixing new wooden pieces of existing shape and size made up of 2nd class Hard wood complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Contract Amount shall be derived after deducting the amount of Schedule of Credit in General Summary on serial page No 17 of tender documents.
