(v) Brakes for all drives shall be Electro-Hydraulic Thrustor brakes according to the application. (vi) Lifting Hooks - Forged Hooks shall be C shank type with safety latch supported on anti friction thrust bearing and the sleeve pulleys shall be made out of malleable cast iron or fabricated, conforming to IS: 3815. (vii) Controls: The main electrical components shall be suitable for indoor application conveniently located for easy maintenance. Standard protection devices for overload protection and short circuit protection shall be provided. (viii) All other incidental, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical works included in the quoted rate. (ix) The Rail shall be used as bridge rail and should be fastern by suitable claims, spaced no more than 1.0 mtr apart with welded alignment blocks between every two clamps complete fitting in existing structure / beam of crane rail. Rail stops riveted or bolted or welded should be provided to prevent creep in the longitudinal direction. Rails to be aligned parallel within tolerance of ±3.5 mm. The size of rail for LT travel CR 80 as per IS 3443 standard and meets the requirement of his design Notes :- 1. Contractor has to submit MoU with OEM for complete supply, installation and testing of cranes within 15 days from approval of make specified in CA. 2. Factory inspection of cranes by rep of Accepting Officer will be carried out before dispatch of material. Contractor should intimate the department for factory visit after material is ready for inspection. 3. The subject cranes is meant for the purpose of handling heavy equipment of engine assembly of tanks. 4. The department shall be responsible for providing suitably rated electrical outlet in the Main Electrical Control Panel/ Sub station. 5. All other works, electrical earthings and associated incidental and minor works shall be the responsibility of the contractor.
Major Technical specification : Type, capacity and general requirements. Type : Double girder box type EOT crane as per IS:807 & IS:3177 (latest version). The crane bridge should comprise of double girders of the plate box type .All diaphragms must bear against the top flange. Steel plates used for bridge girders and diaphragms shall be conforming to IS: 2062 (latest) Grade E-250 BR. The bridge girders should be connected to the end carriages by large gusset plates. Ground tight fit bolts in reamed holes should be used for bolted connections Duty Class : The Crane to be designed for Class- IV (M8) heavy duty for indoor operations in accrodance as per IS:3177 & 807.Materials shall be of tested quality as per relevant IS. STRUCTURAL FABRICATION (Constructional details) : Bridge girder shall be Double girder plate box type construction having min vibrations.Box girder and end carriage joints should have fit bolts. End carriage : fabricated from rolled steel section/plates as per IS:2062. End carriages should be designed to be strong enough to resist all stresses likely to be imposed upon them under varied service conditions, including collision with other cranes or stops. The length of the end carriages should be such that no other part of the crane is damaged in the event of a collision Raw material: only tested quality steel Fe-410-WB as per IS: 2062, IS:1964 & IS:808 and certified for quality by reputed inspection authorities shall be used. Number of joints allowed : Single joint welding electrodes for all horizontal welding E-018 electrode only should be used.
Welded joint Testing : All butt welded joints (both compression/tensison and flanged/web joints) shall be subjected to 100 % X-rays testing and X-ray films to be produced for evaluation and form part of the completion document. Mechanical Joint : Fit bolts (as per IS:3640 - 1982) for all joints coming in main members. Heat Treatment & NDT Examination : The trolley shall be stress relieved, if necessay by thermal heat treatment process after welding & NDT. All welding shall be tested by NDT means (MPL LPI & RTI) after stress relieeving operation (Govt approved test house & certificate) manufacturer to furnish the details of facilities for heat treatment fumace & NDT lab at their works. all the welded joints should be NDT tested by Govt approved test house & certificate/X ray films to be submitted at time of inspection. Trolly frame :- The trolley frame should be welded rolled steel box section, designed to transmit the load to the bridge rails without undue deflection. It should be made rigid by providing suitable diaphragms. The material used shall be conforming to steel IS: 2062 (latest) Grade E-250 BR. The drum bearings and supports for upper sheaves should be located so as to equalize the load on the trolley wheels as nearly as possible. The 04 Nos trolley wheels should be double flanged. The axle bearings should be of spherical roller bearing type and L block type wheel assembly . The bearing housing should be designed for easy removal of wheels and bearings for maintenance. Buffers:- Spring loaded or other suitable buffers should be fitted on the four corners of the crane also at the four ends of the bridge girders. Buffers should be rigidly bolted in place, preferably along the center line of the crane rail or trolley rail as the case may be. Bridge buffers should have a contact surface of not less than 125mm diameter.
Gear Boxes Details : Gear box should be of fabricated type duly stress relieve and totally enclosed helical gear box . Pinions made of En 24 and gears of En 18. Gears in all the stages shall helical in design and to be of machined, lapped and hardened straight and helical gearing shall normally be used for all motions. Worm and bevel gears shall not be used. First and high speed reductions shall be through helical gears. All first reduction pinions and also the other pinion if feasible shall be integral with the shafts. All gears shall be of hardended and carbon steel with machine cut teeth. Gear teeth shall be cut in metric module system, Gears and pinions are supported on antifriction ball bearing to protect gear train from shock loads. Gear boxes shall be provided with breather vents, easily accessible drain plug and a suitable oil level inspection glass or indicator. The internal surfaces of the gear box shall be painted with oil and rust resisting paint. Gearing:- The gear units in all motions should be light weight with silent running and made of case - carburising low carbon alloy steels 20MnCr5 / 16MnCr5 / 17Mn1Cr95 / EN353 / SAE 8620 and should conform to relevant Indian/International standards. They shall generally be in accordance with AGMA or IS:4460-1995 (or latest). All gears should be hardened and profile ground for longer life and silent operation. At all stages only helical gears should be used, Bearings:- Ball and roller anti-friction bearings shall be of reputed make as mentioned in List of approved Manufacturers/ make here-in-after. It is proposed to ensure that only new and genuine bearings of acceptable make are procured and fitted. For long and cross traverse wheels, spherical roller bearings shall be used. Independent bearing housings on long shafts be split on the shaft center line to permit easy removal of the shaft. The bottom surface of all bearing pedestals should be machined, and should bear upon a machined surface.
Control Wiring : All the panel wiring should be done by using standard multi core copper highly flexible double insulated cables and of Buty/RubberTrailing cables as per IS. The cable and wiring system for each motion shall be independent and common returns shall be provided. Main cable and control wiring shall be effectively separated. Cable runs shall not be installed in any place where they will impede the crane driver's view. The cable shall be easily accessible and shall not hamper the movement of persons on the crane. Trailing cables (Extra flexible having copper conductor only) should be traiveling on roller moving on separate I beam parellel to bridge girder and both for LT & CT shall be supplied and errected by contractor. Bridge Lights : 4 Nos of 100 W hi-bay LED flood light fitting shall be provided under the bridge with suitable clamps and connected wiring . DSL - Supply and errection of DSL Shrouded Copper busbar (RYBG) rating 160 Amps including their fittings i.e. suitable size of angle iron, jointer, connector , nut & bolts and other accessories for making a good . incl to be provided current collector rating of 160 Amp complete. The panel , motors and other electrical equipment should be connected throgh earthing properly .
Control Panel:- Protective panel to be provided of factory made powder coated compartmental type ( MH/LT/CT) cubicle Control Panel indoor type with, fabricated from 2.0 mm thick CRCA sheet steel, dust and vermin proof complete with necessary angle iron frame work mounted on cranes giredr , weather proof vermin proof , suitable rating aluminium bus bar chamber for operation on 415 volts, 50Hz, 3 Phase 4 wire AC supply suitable for termination of cables including supply and fixing of following, incomer MCCB with microprocess based of suitable capacity and outgoing MCBs , VFD /VVVF drive, contactor, switchgear, relay, step down transformer, KWh merering , RYB lamps . The panel should be CPRI approved and having IP 52 ingress protection. The suitable size of VVVF/ VFD drive should be capable of taking 125 % overload for one minute at the creep speed of 20 % and at full speed as per crane IS standard for crane. Panels shall be front wired with readily accessible terminal blocks for making connections in the external equipment. Panels shall be pre wired into terminal strip. Single core, copper conductor FRLS shall be used for control circuit wiring in the panel.All contactors etc. shall be mounted securely in a vertical arrangement with the consideration of the vibrations encountered in the operation of cranes.Terminal block shall have adequate clearance to avoid tracking. A minimum of 20% spare terminals block shall be provided in terminals strips.
Painting Instructions : (a) Surface cleaning : Girder to be shot blasted or chemically treated for surface cleaning, after completion of all operaations but prior to painting contractor to furnish the details of facilities for shot blasting M/c at their/OEM,s works. (b) Painting : One coat of Red Oxide primer with 25 micron DFT (Dry film thickness) and 48 hours of compulsory curring after painting . (c) The crane should be thoroughly cleaned and final painting with two coat of synthetic enamel paint (colour - golden yelow) each with a DFT of 25 micron and intermittent curing of 16 hour. final touching will be done after erection & commissioning at site complete. Notes:- (i) The contractor will make the EOT Cranes in all respect , if anything missed out , the contractor shall provide the same without any extra cost or claim to the department. (ii) The contractor shall submit warranty of Cranes for two year from the certified date of completion.

Design, Supply installation testing and commissioning of Electric Wire Rope Hoist of capacity 02 Ton , Class -IV heavy duty, conforming to IS: 3938 & 3177 & IS: 807 ( latest revision) with having Height of lift - 6.0 Mtr (approx), Hoist speed- 3.0 mtr/min , CT speed- 15 mtr/min and suitable size of DSL for 30.0 Mtr (approx) travelling span , floor pendent operate, Steel wire rope 10.0mm dia with FMC contruction 6 x36 ungalvanised as per IS-2266 ,04 No of fall 'C' Shunk with safety latch type lifting hook confirming to IS 3815 , control panel complete and cutting of existing floor/roof surface and making good as per existing surface after installation of cranes including dismantling and removing of existing Electric Hoist Block capacity 2.25 Ton including connecting wiring and panel complete by help of hydra or any other suitable machinery, complete all as specified and directed.
Specification for Items Srl No 3 & 4 are as follows:- Electrical hoists and trolley shall be completed with hoisting and cross travel motor, wire rope drum, wire rope, hook, gear box for CTs hoist wheels with Trolley necessary gearing, sheaves, Brake Electro mechanical type with asbestos lining for hoisting & cross travel, guides, weather and dust proof pendent push button station, & control panel, all wiring, 4 core trailing cable for power supply connection galvanised drag (link) chain with complete supporting arrangement, pendent cable, limit switches, earthing terminals and other accessories to make system complete and ready for erection & commissioning. The hoist assembly shall be fully balanced. Limit switches shall be provided for over hoisting, over lowering and for cross travel limits at both extreme position. Rope Drum : It shall be of fabricated type stress relieved or seamless pipe .The circumferntial weld joint shall be tested by 100% X ray quality (please mention the size). The Rope drum shall be designed to take the entire length of the rope in a single layer. Free extre turns as specified in IS 3177 shall also be provided. The drum shall be flanged at both ends with adequate collar size as per IS to avoid slipping of wire rope outside the drum. The hoist mechanism shall consist of a grooved rope drum driven by electric motor through gears. Each end of the rope shall be anchored to the drum in such a way as the anchorage is readily available for maintenance. SHEAVES : Rope sheaves shall be of rolled or cast steel. Grooves shall be machined to the proper shape for the rope used. Sheaves shall be equipped with sheave guards to retain the rope in groove. Sheaves shall be fully guarded so that the rope cannot come off. GEARS :Gears shall be cut from quality alloy steel of chromium, nickel. Pinions shall be of heat treated alloy steel.
BEARINGS -Bearings shall comply with relevant IS/BS. Depending upon the capacity and loading conditions the manufacturer shall design suitable grease lubricated or oil lubricated bearings. ROTATING AND STATIONERY SHAFT-Shafts and axles shall be of 080 M40 as per BS 970 LUBRICATION-The hoists shall be supplied with all required lubricants, one number grease gun shall be supplied. WIRE ROPE:- Wire rope should be of 6x36 construction with a minimum breaking load of 1770 n/sqm, made of un-galvanised FMC construction confirming to IS : 2266.(Make : USHA MARTIN). The rope anchorage at each end should have at least two independent clamps..Number of falls shall be FOUR. HOOK- Hooks made of EN-8 material shall be solid, forged, heat treated, high tensile steel of tough construction and shall be provided with a standard depress type safety latch. It shall have swivels and operate on bearings with hardened race. Lock to prevent hooks from unscrewing shall be provided and conforming to IS: 3815. BRAKES-Hoisting motor and trolley motor shall be equipped with Electro Mechanical type with asbestos lining. The brakes shall apply when either the motor starter or the main power switch is in OFF position or in the event of "power failure". The braking capacity of the brakes shall be 150% of the rating of the hoist. LINK (DRAG) CHAIN - Hot dip Galvanised Link (drag) chain shall be provided for the Flexible Trailing cable, to avoid direct loading on the cable.
CONTROL PANEL- Control panel shall be provided to house the electrical components like MCCB/MCB fuses, contactors, over load relays, isolators, switches, control supply transformers etc along with necessary wiring. The components shall be clearly identified by labels. The panel shall be made of sheet steel of minimum 2mm thick CRCA sheet steel and shall be dust and vermin proof, suitable for outdoor condition. The control panel shall be designed for IP 55 degree of protection. Adequate number of DOUBLE COMPRESSION type cable glands (heavy duty) of brass with nickel plating and Annealed Tinned Copper lugs shall be provided with dummy plugs. The door, removable cover plates and metal- to-metal joints shall be fully neoprenegasketted. The power contactors shall heave Mechanical interlocking in addition to Electrical interlocking so that at any point of time only any one of the two Power contactors (either Up of Down, Left or Right) will be energized. MOTOR- Motor rating shall be computed as per IS:325. Motors shall be totally enclosed fan cooled Squirrel Cage Induction type. Motor shall be Heavy duty revesible carne duty type with 40% CDF, 150 starts / Hr, Class - F insulation, Motor shall be 3 Phase 415 Volts . The body shall have two earthing points on opposite sides. PENDANT- The Pendant Push Button station shall have the following Push Buttons. Hoist, Lower, Forward, Reverse & Emergency Stop. The Emergency Pus Button shall be Lockable type. The Pendant Push Button station shall have the following LED type Indicating lamps. SUPPLY ON, HOIST MOTOR ON, CT MOTOR ON, HOIST MOTOR TRIP, CT MOTOR TRIP. The Pendant Push Button station shall be supported from the Control Panel with hot dip galvanized Link Chain. The Pendant Push Button Station shall be connected to the Control Panel using multi-core copper flexible control cable. Push button shall be spring return type with 2NO+2NC self reset contacts rated for 5A at 415 volts AC. Notes:- (i). Contractor has to submit MoU with OEM for complete supply, installation and testing of electric Wire Rope Hoist within 15 days from approval of make specified in CA. (ii). Factory inspection of electric Wire Rope Hoist by rep of Accepting Officer will be carried out before dispatch of material. Contractor should intimate the department for factory visit after material is ready for inspection. (iii) Load testing :- Hoist will be tested with 25 % overload at the site in presence of departments representative as ditected by Accepting Officer and test result shall be recorded and sumbitted to the departments. The dead load will be scope of the firm/OEM for load testing of Hoist as per their capacities. (iv) General Arrangement drawing of Hoist, Cross Travel arrangement, Auxiliary Girder & Trailing cable system, Control Panel shall be approved from the Accepting Officer. (iii) Provide rating of cross travel and hoist motor and Wiring circuit diagram with details. (v) The contractor will make the EOT Cranes in all respect , if anything missed out , the contractor shall provide the same without any extra cost or claim to the department. (vi) The contractor shall submit warranty of Hoist for two year from the certified date of completion.
