Part I : CIVIL WORKS
Depth not exceeding 1.50 m. from ground level.
Plain Cement concrete for the following works at all levels and locations of specified mix using graded stone aggregate of 20 mm.maximum size including necessary form work, machine mixing, transporting, placing in position, consolidation, finishing, curing etc.as per specifications and as directed by EIC. Notes:- Nominal reinforcement if provided for the above works, shall be measured & paid under relevant item.
Plain Cement Concrete (1:2:4)
Reinforced Cement Concrete of grade M-30 in foundation, plinth, sub structure, super structure at all levels, floors and locations conformining to IS:456 using 20 mm. maximum size down graded stone aggregate including machine mixing, conveying, placing in position, mechanical consolidation, finishing, curing etc. all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. Notes for reinforcement cement concrete works: a) Cement for structural works shall be OPC/PPC ISI marked and duly approved by the Engineer-in-charge. b) PPC/blended cement of ISI marked shall only be used for finishing works on prior approval of Engineer-in-charge. c) All RCC work shall be controlled concrete unless otherwise specified and shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the drawings and specifications. d) The rates for RCC works shall be exclusive of cost of reinforcement and form work unless otherwise mentioned. e) All coarse aggregate to be of 20 mm. maximum size & uniformly graded unless otherwise mentioned. f) For all RCC items, the rates quoted shall include the following without any extra cost to the Department. i) Spacers to maintain clear cover for reinforcement. ii) Fixing at correct level and in proper alignment the inserts, pipe sleeves, pipe bends, hooks, other pipe specials etc. supplied by / through the dept. iii) Test for Concrete shall be done as per IS 456-2000. and the cost of the same shall be borne by the contractor.
For all type of structural/ RCC elements of all geometrical shape.
Extra for providing RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) confirming to IS :4926 (latest) in lieu of conventional RCC/ PCC items supplied by approved RMC manufactures for all type of structural elements/ PCC/ RCC elements including transporting, pumping etc. complete as per instruction of the Engineer in charge.
Providing, erecting, fixing in position striking/ removing and cleaning steel/ timber shuttering & centering for form work in foundation, plinth, sub structure, super structure at all locations, levels & floors for all geometrical shapes in plain,curved surfaces of structural/ RCC elements including chamfers, splays, keys, wedges, props, rails, bracings, brackets, cutting holes for pipes etc., providing & applying approved form oil on all surfaces of form work coming in contact with concrete including close hacking of all exposed concrete work after removal of form work where plastering is to bedone, all materials, labour etc. all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Notes: i) Area of form work in contact with concrete shall only be measured for payment and stop boards for construction joints will not be measured for payment. ii) The rate of formwork shall include all type of structural / RCC elements and geometric shapes including circular and any other curved surfaces.
Reinforcement for RCC work including supplying, delivering, storing of various diameters as required at site of work including loading, unloading, transporting, decoiling, straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position at all locations & levels and binding with 18 gauge, soft drawn annealed steel binding wire including carrying out various tests as required etc. all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer in charge. Note:- Cost of binding wire shall be borne by thecontractor & shall not be measured for payment.
Thermo Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D manufactured by SAIL, TATA STEEL, RINL, JSW only.
Providing random rubble masonry with rough dressed hard stone below plinth in foundation, plinth, retaining wall, sub structure, super structure at all levels, floors & locations etc. in ready mix cement mortar (1:4) including through stone, header stone, bond stone, quoins etc. well packed including filling the inter stices with smaller stone chips, striking, raking out joints & finishing the joints, including scaffolding, curing, and including providing & fixing heavy quality PVC pipe 75 mm/100 mm dia for weep holes @ 1.5 m C/C in staggered pattern etc. all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Cement pointing to random rubble masonry wall / work at all levels, floors & location with Ready mix cement mortar 1:4 including raking out joints, pointing neatly and finishing the joints, curing scaffolding etc. complete all as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Raised and cut pointing
Dismantling, cutting, removing, demolishing carefully the existing bituminous concrete, seal coat, WBM/BM, sub-base, rubble soling, plain concrete, RCC work including cutting of reinforcement, brick masonry, RR maonry, cement plaster, paver blocks, stone work etc. at all levels, floors and location by chiselling, scaffolding, stacking of serviceable materials and disposing of the surplus excavated materials, within Anushakti Nagar colony at designated place & all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes for demolition and dismantling works: i) The dismantling of following works include any thickness, size & shape, at all level and locations along with plaster, tiles, stone slab, dado, skirtingetc., cutting & straightening of reinforcement bars,stacking the serviceable materials in Dept. store and disposing of debris's outside the colony by mechanical transport. ii) Structural safety of the adjacent structure shall be taken care while carrying the dismantling works. iii) Utmost care shall be taken to avoid the disturbance of the day to day security office work, pass issue and security check etc. iv) Serviceable materials shall be stored at Departmental store including machanical transportation etc. without any extra cost. v) The dismantling work shall be started with written permission of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Brick masonry in sub structure, super structure at all floors, levels and locations using well burnt bricks from approved lots of class designation 3.5 (classification as per IS1077-1992 and min. average compressive strength not less than 3.50 N/mm2 ) in using Ready mix cement mortar (1:4) in 230 /115 mm walls to correct line, level and plumb including raking out joints, curing, scaffolding etc.complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (a) The contractor shall get approved the samples of bricks from the Engineer-In- Charge before procurement on large scale and shall maintain the same for the entire work. (b) Necessary Openings/ nitches/ cut-outs, wherever required as per drawings and asked for by the Engineer-In-Charge, shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost. (c) One brick wall thickness shall be consideredas 230mm and half brick wall as 115 mm and lesser wall thickness if any shall be made up to the required dimensions by the contractor in Ready mix cement mortar 1:4 to proper line, level and plumb without any extra cost to the Department. (d) The rate shall include cost of making the brick masonry to all geometrical shapes and sizes with out any extra cost to the Department.
Providing, laying and fixing in position at all floors and levels, machine cut, machine polished (mirror polish) / flame finished Granite stone of approved colours minimum 18mm thick of approved quality and shade for flooring/ skirting/tread/ riser/ Ramps/ Dado/ Facia etc. on brick/ concrete surfaceetc., with pre-polished granite stone of required sizes, fixed over and including necessary ready mix cement mortar bedding/ backing coat, close jointed and grouted with matching cement slurry mixed with suitable pigments including supplying & fixing approved stainless steel clamps / pins at suitable intervals and approved adhesive such as araldite to ensure fixing of stone securely including making necessary recess in the granite stone to accommodate the hold for stainless steel clamps/pins @ 600c/c on both directions and using approved adhessive such as araldite to ensure the fixing of stone securedly, grouting the joints with approved pigments, curing, cleaning and final hand polishing etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
In flooring, with combination of Mirror polished and semi flamed granite of size 800mm x 800mm as per pattern (60%polished + 40 % semi flamed) as per specification, over 20mm thick Ready mix cement mortar 1:4 bedding using Ready Mix Mortar, including cement slurry at 4.40 kg/sqm over bedding and matching slurry with white cement at 2.20 kg/sqm for grouting the joints.
In skirting, Dado, facia, slopped skirting, top of side wall/ toe wall, etc. with mirror polished granite stone laid over 12mm thick cement mortar 1:3 using Ready Mix Mortar including rounding in semi circle / chamfering the edges etc. complete.
In ramps with mirror polished 18mm thick approved granite stone, flamed finished in single piece strips and in border, of approx. size1500mm x 150 mm laid inclined over 20 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 bedding using Ready Mix Mortar with exposed edges nosed/ chamfered. Note: i) The tread and risers are to be polished at factory. The exact size are to be laid without any further polishing. ii) The grooves are to be cut at factory to maintain the gap uniform. Non uniform groove size and irregular gaps between grooves shall not be accepted and rejected forthwith. iii) Rate includes providing Mirror polished granite to full height of side walls as dado, cut from granite tiles as per pattern shown in drawings. iv) The contractor is to take appropriate step to protect the polishing surface of the floor, tread and riser by providing and laying 6 mm thick POP during construction period. The surfaces are to becleaned only at the time of handing over.
Providing 20 mm thick sand faced plaster using Ready mix cement plaster (1:4) of approved make at all heights, levels and locations including scaffolding, external faces of brickwork/ concrete surfaces (back coat and finishing coat of 10 mm. thick each) with water proofing agent @ 2% by weight as per ready mix plaster manufacturer recommendations and including preparation of the surface, hacking wherever necessary, curing, cleaning at all heights & locations, finishing and rendering with sponge to correct line, level and plumb complete all as per specifications including forming drip moulds wherever necessary and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Painting plastered / concrete surfaces (old & new) with two coats of acrylic emulsion paint of exterior grade of approved manufacture of approved colour over a coat of approved cement primer including preparing the surfaces, filling with putty wherever required, scaffolding and cleaning etc, complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by EIC.
Structural steel work at all floors, levels and locations in truss, grills, guard bars, hand rails, frames, pit /trench covers, cover bracket for slanting chajja ,trap door ,railing, hoisting hooks, smoke vents etc.using required sections angles, channels, I-beams, tees, flats, bars, RHS, SHS, chequered plates, pipes etc. of required sizes including supplying, cutting, fabricating, welding, erecting, making holes / chases wherever required and fixing /embedding in position in concrete / brick work/ marble / granite stone with necessary hold fasts/ stainless steel screws & rawl plugs by drilling etc and finishing the concrete / brick work after fixing /embedding including painting two coats of anti corrosive bitumastic paint on all un exposed surfaces and two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved make and colour on all exposed surfaces over a coat of approved zinc chromate primer etc.complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by EIC.
Using structural steel sections & members
Using Hot dipped Glavanized structural steel sections & members of grade Yst-240, (Having minimum Zinc Coating of 460 gsm (both side inclusive) as per IS:277)
Providing and fixing 0.5 mm (minimum) thickness galvalume sheet (Al-Zn Alloy Steel, Minimum AZ-150) having pre painted colour coated, at all floors, levels & locations, manufactured by M/s. JSW or other approved equivalent make conforming to IS:15965, having approved colour, shade and profile, fixing the sheet using SS self tapping screws of suitable length @ 450 mm C/C (both ways as per availability of member) with drill machine including heavy quality bituminious / EPDM / neoprene washer, over structural steel members frame work over terrace including providing & fixing necessary ridges, gabels, valleys, gutters sections and including wastage, overlapps as per manufacturer's specifications, cutting, labour, scaffolding, machines, lifting, fixing etc complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by EIC. The total coated thickness of sheet, inclusive of galvanization, chemical treatment, primer and finished coats shall not be less than 0.50 mm. Mode of measurement: Actual area of roof coverings including ridges, eaves, gutter etc. after fixing shall be measured for payment. Corrugation, overlaps shall not be measured for payment.
Designing, providing and fixing of 4 mm thick approved make and shade Aluminium Composite Metal Panel (ACP) of approved make cladding at different locations, levels and floors, including soffits of over-hangs but excluding aluminium frame work with grids filled in with weather silicon sealant as per the drawings. The ACM panel composition shall be of 0.5 mm thick PVDF coated aluminium sheet + 3 mm thick low density polyethelene virgin resin core + 0.5 mm thick polyester (PVDF) coated Aluminium sheet, including all necessary cutting, wastage, bending, fixing, screws, washer all complete as per approved shop drawings and specifications and as directed by EIC. (Aluminium frame work will be paid under relevant item) Note:- ACP shall be measured to the actual visible area of the ACP sheet including silicon joints as fixed on the site.
Supplying and fixing in position at all floors, levels & locations aluminium section [extruded] for frame work of ACP cladding etc as per drawing and of approved shape, size, section of approved manufactures with sections having size and weights as shown in the drawing for framing work and including all labours, cutting, wastage, fixing in position with wall, RCC members etc using heavy duty screws/anchor fasteners/ clip/ rawl plug, drilling, grouting etc complete all as per drawings, specifications and as dirtected by EIC. Note:- Approval of the department for the complete design and shop drawing shall be obtained before commencement of the fabrication work
Supplying and fixing following size uPVC UV-Stabilised soil / waste quality pipes and fittings (SWR) for soil, waste, vent,anti syphonege, HVAC waste pipe, weep holes an drain water pipe lines consisting following items ofwork:- i) Supplying uPVC UV-Stabilised Soil /waste pipe as per IS:13592 and IS:14735 Grade-B with Fittings of Supreme' make. ii) Fixing the pipe line vertically using Metalclamps with rubber seal of Supreme make Cat.No. SWRMCR 1 to 6 iii) Providing and fixing uPVC cowl at the top ofsoil, waste water & vent pipe line. iv) Laying the pipe below floor / ground to properslope and gradient for making connections ofsoil pipe line with inspection chamber orManhole, waste water connection with Gully trap Chamber including the cost of cement mortar, cement concrete, water proofing compound etc. v) Jointing the pipe with Solvent Cement &Rubber ring gasket with making holes in walls/floor grooving and redoing the same and bricksupport etc. Giving water-tightness test for the pipes laid as per codal provisions. Providing Ring Joint pipes at verticals and solvent cement jointed pipes at consealed locations. vi) Necessary cutting to the required lengthincluding short pieces, fittings with & withoutdoor, assorted fittings such as plugs, tees, couplers, reducers, cross tees, reducing tees, elbows, bends, cleaning pipe, single &double Y, vent cowl, gaskets, off sets etc.

Providing HDPE sheet flashing fabricated by welding HDPE flexibal sheet with 160 / 110mm dia HDPE pipe of about 300 mm long for PVC rain water pipes, fixing with ready mix cement mortar 1:4 mixed with water proofing compound and forming proper shape and grade and finishing with inlet mouth of rain water pipe, cutting RCC slab or wall if required, including the cost of cement mortar etc. all complete as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Notes: For fixing HDPE sheet on RCC / Cement Concrete, bottom surface shall be sticked watertight by synthetic glue as per manufacturers recommendation (Glue type as per manufacturers recommendation). Top portion shall be spread with approved synthetic glue andfine 0.5mm sand shall be spinkled over it and allowed to be dried. After drying it is to be embeded using Ready mix cement mortar 1:4 as per required shape and form.

Providing Stainless steel Dome mesh / jalli fabricated out of 1.5 mm dia 304 grade stainless steel wires welded to 15 mm x15 mm x1.00 mmthick "L" shaped stainless steel base ring / frameof same grade for PVC/ C.I rain water down take pipes on terrace floor including fixing the above unit over the inlet of the rain water pipe byembedding in water proofing using cement mortar / concrete mixed with water proofing compound including the cost of fixing materials etc. all complete as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.

Supplying & fixing in position at all floors, levels and location, minimum 25 mm thick PVC integral free foam sheet manufactured by M/s. Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. ( Ex-cel sheet), Rajashree Plastiwood or other approved equivalent, PVC sheet shall be of approved colour, shade, solid section, extruded rigid, light weight sheet with fine and homogeneous closed cell structure with smooth, glossy, hard surface finishon both sides, including fixing in position at all levels and locations for name boards of shops (Approx size 3500 mm X 600 mm) in the structural steel frame work (Structural steel will be paid under relevent item) using approved SS screws, nut bolts, washer etc including all lifting, labour, cutting, wastage etc complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by EIC. (Notes:- The entire board shall be a joint less board)
Providing & fixing stainless steel Anchor fastner as specified below of Hilti make HSL-3 or its equivalent including drilling holes to required depth, cleaning the same and fixing of fastner in proper position at all levels etc. complete all as per drawing/ sketch, specifications and as per direction of the Engineer- in- Charge.
16 mm dia and 150 mm long of Hilti make HSL-3 having minimum Tension capacity of 17 KN.
12 mm dia and 100 mm long of Hilti make HSL-3 having minimum Tension capacity of 11.5 KN.

Painting over the existing old structural steel work in grill, frame, cover, railing, fencing etc at all levels, locations and floors, two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved make, shade and colour over a coat of approved steel primer including cleaning/ rubbing the old surface , removing the rust, vegetation growth if any etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by EIC.
Anchoring 12 mm dia reinforcement bar into RCC slab, beam, column, which consists of carefully drilling hole in R.C.C. member with Tungusten bit 16 mm dia for a minimum embedded depth of 175 mm & cleaning the drilled hole with blower, injecting Hilti Chemical grout (Hilti-RE-500) & placing of re-bar etc complete all as per drawing, specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note:- Reinforcement bar only will be paid under relevant item)
Carrying out Pull-out Test at site for 12 mm dia bar anchored using (Hilti-RE-500) as per latest provision of relevant IS code, at all heights and levels, etc all complete as specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.( Test load shall be given at the time of testing depending upon the grouting length and grade of concrete, testing shall be done by the Manufacturer of chemicals as per their specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.)
Providing & applying epoxy based bonding coat of Nitobond of M/s.Fosroc or Equivalent over the rough surface of existing concrete before casting the RCC block for bonding the old & new concrete at all floors and locations including necessary cleaning, scaffolding, wastages etc. complete as per drawings, manufacturers specifications and as directed by Engineer in charge.
