Excavation in hard rock — cavation in hard rock 0-1.5 m : Excavation in hard Rock as encountered in road or drain all complete as per specifications and instr tions of HPCL Engineer-in- Charge. Quoted rates are deemed to include stacking the excavated rock for enabling HPCL to take stack me urements & including shoring & strutting if any required. The stack measurement will be deducted by 50% for voids. After stack measu ment is taken, the stack is to be disposed off at a suitable spot inside Plant premises including loading, transportation & unloadin and levelling of hard rock materials at designated spot within Plant premises for all applicable leads & lifts; all complete as per structions of HPCL Engineer-in- Charge(EIC). The Contractor shall carry out petrographic test for confirming that it is hard rock and uoted rates are deemed to include this examination at Lab. The rock shall be broken with Tractor/ trailer mounted chisel hammers/roc breakers. Depth of excavation 0 -1.5 m. Blasting in site will not be permitted
