M/L for Maintenance, servicing and attending faults on call basis of standby DG Set complete including draining out engine oil from the sump, cleaning the sump thoroughly and refilling the sump with new engine oil to it’s required level, replacing the fuel filter, lubricating oil filter , clean air cleaner , change air cleaner elements, and check coolant level & make up the same ,drain the fuel filter & water separator ,filling the starting batteries with electrolyte/distilled water to maintain the required specific gravity, replace the u/s brass connectors for batteries, cleaning of battery terminals & applying petroleum jelly to battery terminal posts & brass connectors, including M & L for V Belts, checking of exhaust leakage, governor, breathers,hose pipes with clips, diesel pipes,thermostat valve,solonoid switch,tappet setting,oil filter element,air filter,bypass filter etc and adjust/set the same for proper functioning of DG Set, checking of fuel, oil and water/ coolant level etc, adjusting and keeping the fan belts to the desired tension, tightening all the bolts and nuts to the required torque etc, cleaning the DG Set with accessories as prescribed by the manufacturer and test for satisfactory running of DG set for two hour at connected load and record shall be made in respect of RPM , oil pressure , oil temperature , coolant temperature, voltage , frequency , load current , battery charging , fuel consumption etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge for 12.5/15/20/25 KVA DG SET NOTE :-

Engine oil for refilling will be paid separetely.

Coolant for make up will be measured & paid separately

Testing will be carried out in presence of Engineer - in - charge and DHPP consumption will be entered in PRRB.

The Make of Fuel filter , Oil Filter , V belt & other above mentioned components will be as per manufactures recommendations

Checking of all electricial systems, wiring , connections of battery, battery charging,etc during servicing.

Maintenance and servicing of DG sets to be carried out twice throughout the CA duration (for item No 01 to 07) (Rates are inclusive for two servicing).

Parts replaced will be contractor's responsibility during the one year CA period and also no claim whatsoever will be entertained for payment if any part is replaced again during the CA period.

Attending to faults on call basis will not be considered as servicing. Also, parts replaced as part of servicing BOQ item is inclusive in rate despite changing it after servicing, hence contractor should quote the rates accordingly.

Dismantling radiator assembly from the engine of DG sets of capacity 12.5 to 50 KVA , by disconnecting inlet and outlet connections overhauling / servicing the radiator , clearing/removing blockages arresting leakages, assembling back including necessery welding/bracing as required, refixing , reconnecting and testing for proper functioning all as directed by Engr in charge

Repairs to 12 V Self starter motor assembly of DG sets capacity 12.5 to 63 KVA by removing from engine, taking it to workshop, dismantling , opening up ,removing burnt out windings , insulation materials , bushes, bearings , rewinding with same guage and type of insulation winding wires and insulation materials , replacement of bushes, bearings including necessary machining works as required assembling, fixing back to engine , connecting and testing for statisfactory function all as specified and directed by Engr in charge..

All as per sl item No 17 above but 24 V self starter motor assembly of DG sets capacity 100 to 250 KVA

Repairs to 12 V battery charging alternator assembly of DG set capacity 12.5 to 125 KVA by removing from engine, taking it to workshop, dismantling, openingup, removing and replacing the wornout/unserviceable slep rings carbon brushes, bearings, rectifier, diodes and carry out cleaning /serviceing to rotor starter, assembling & refixing to the engine and testing for satisfactory charging of battery all as directed. Note : Rewinding of stator will be measured and paid separately under relevant item.

All as per sl item No 19 above but 24 V battery charging alternator of DG set cap 100 KVA to 250 KVA

M&L for replacing unserviceable asbestos rope and supply & fix new asbestos rope 12mm dia wound spirally on exhaust pipes of DG set all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L for replacing diesel hose pipe of size 5/16 all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L for replacing the old unserviceable battery lead 50 sq mm single core mulitstranded copper conductor PVC insulated with terminal one end socket and the other end clamp type, length approx 1 mtr incluiding applying jelly over the battery pole and terminals all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for repairs to door of canopy of DG set by taking down the broken hinges from the door and in the frame and replacing with new hinges, fixing the door in the frame incuiding all material and labour involved, checking for proper closing opening and for smooth operation all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour for disconnecting electrical and mechanical connections of alternator 415 volts 50 HZ 12.5 to 25 KVA capacity, removing from foundations/diesel engine coupling and dismantling the alternator in parts and carrying out servicing to stator/Rotor/excitation windings by replacing the new insulation paper sheet of extg size/shape,replacing the glass sleeves of connecting leads, binding/tightning loose coils with binding cloths, varnishing and applying the bactol on the excitor coils/ windings with super varnish, heating the windings at appropriate temperature to achieve required insulation resistance without damaging the other parts, cleaning, greasing, reassembling/installing/connecting and testing all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material & labour for Earthing complete using galvanised iron earth plate electrode of size 60cm X 60cm X 6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15 cm thick and packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt filling in alternate layers and electrode connections by using galvanised iron strip of size 32X6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers made of GI and protected by light grade 40 mm dia galvanised iron pipe and GI pipe light grade 20mm bore for watering, including funnel, wire mesh, CI pit cover and PCC chamber pit with PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 (including necessary excavation and earth work disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m all as specified and shown on electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I 2009 and testing on completion all as specified and directed.

Dismantling of old coverd shed of DG Sets and M&L for hardcore of brocken stone of guage exc 63 mm but not exceeding 100mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface, cement concrete type C2 1:3:6 (40mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation filling and mass concrete, cement concrete type A-1:1 5:3 (using 20mm graded sone aggregate), 150mm thickness as in hardstandings, fixing of new roof trusses (framed ), trussed,purlins,crane gantries, rails and fastning and heavy bracket framing (Beam, tee, angle, channel or flat sections) including distance pieces, cleats etc, replacement with new pre-painted galvalume aluminiium zinc coating GI based corrugated steel sheet 0.50mm thick of colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in roof covering/cladding to wall, fixed with self tapping screws, preparation of steel surface and applying one coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer and two coats of Epoxy anticorrosive paint over 10 cm width or girth including excavation returning, filling, removing and connected jointing and fabrication work all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Shed area should cover min. 02 metre beyond the DG plinth and height min. 2 metre from chimney top point.
