Maintenance and servicing of DG Set of capacity 7.5 KVA to 75 KVA complete including draining out of diesel from tank, cleaning the tank thoroughly and refilling the drained out diesel, draining out engine oil from the chamber, cleaning the chamber thoroughly and refilling the same with new engine oil to required level, replacing the fuel filter, lubricating oil filter, check & clean air cleaner, change air cleaner elements, check coolant level & make up the same, drain the Fuel filter & water separator, filling the starting batteries with electrolyte/distilled water to maintain the required specific gravity, replace the unserviceable brass connectors for batteries, cleaning of battery terminals & applying petroleum jelly to battery terminal posts & brass connectors, changing of V-belts, changing rubber hoses and clips of air cleaner, checking of exhaust leakage, governor, breathers etc, adjust/set the same for proper functioning of DG Set, checking of fuel, oil and water/coolant level etc, adjusting and keeping the fan belts to the desired tension, tightening all the bolts and nuts to the required torque etc, cleaning the DG Set with accessories as prescribed by the manufacturer and test for satisfactory running of DG set for two hour at connected load & record shall be made in respect of RPM, oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, voltage, frequency, load current, battery charging, fuel consumption etc. complete all as specified and directed.

In case, GI protection pipe required is less than 7.50m, no price adjustment shall be made. (ii) PCC pit shall be provided at least 500mm away from the earth pit and not just on the earth pit and extra cost of additional length of water pipes and fittings, junctions, elbow etc shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor.

Excavation in trenches, n exc 1.5m wide and n exc 1.5m in depth , for foundation, etc or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, laying of cables etc. n exc 10sqm on plan and n exc 1.5m in depth and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed .

Dry tibba sand cushioning to underground cable provided with a layer of 8cm deep before laying cable and 15cm after laying of cable and punned to 18cm after laying of cable and cover for protection of underground cable complete all as specified and directed. Notes :- (i) Approved dry tibba sand free from vegetation, grass and other deleterious substances shall be used. (ii) For the purpose of payment only punned thickness shall be measured for payment.

Stone patti 40 to 50mm thick rough dressed Jodhpur stone slab cover in trenches for protection of cable 25 to 35cm wide and not less than 60cm in length laid dry abutting each other with gap between adjacent slab not exceeding 10mm over sand cushioning complete all as specified and directed.

Removing surplus soil to a distance n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed

Returning, filling in , including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers each n.exc 25cm complete all as specified and as directed .

Supply, laying, jointing and testing XLPE insulated screened PVC bedded, armoured, heavy duty underground electric cable with stranded aluminium conductor 1100 volts grade cross sectional area 35 sq mm 3.5 core confirming to IS-7098 (Part-I-1988) laid in trenches, along poles through pipes etc. including taking out old unservicable cable complete all as specified. Notes :- (i) Sand cushioning, cable protection, GI pipe and excavation & earth work shall be measured & paid for separately (ii) Floor cutting/ cutting holes etc in walls required for laying/ fixing of cable etc shall be made good as per existing.
