Rate Contract for Pin Cutting, Thimble Removal, Transportation of Steel Materials, Issue and Transportation of Spares from Central Store and Filtration of Hydraulic Oil of HPP in Carbon Area Mechanical

Cutting of damaged pin from rejected stem bracket as per instruction of Section I/c and as detailed in special condition of contract.

Removal of thimbles manually from rejected stem brackets as per instruction of section I/c. It also includes collection of removed thimble pieces from the brackets, cleaning of chips from the cutting m/c, cleaning of cutting accessories.

Properly locating the brackets in PRS after being removed from over head conveyor by operation agency during each shift on daily basis.

Transportation of structural steel materials including steel plates of different sizes from steel yard to Carbon Plant.All items/transportation cranes/equipments required for completion of the job have to be arranged without any additional cost. Party may be asked to bring different type steel material at one time of any quantity & accordingly to be arranged necessary transportation.

Hydraulic power pack spillage oil removal & cleaning as and when required. The spillage of oil occurs due to failure of any hydraulic equipments. The substantial spilled oil removal requirement envisages shifting of empty drums to HPP installation, removing & cleaning of oil from floor and collecting in the drum and maintaining proper housekeeping. The dirty oil collected should be kept at the designated scrap yard immediately.

Hydraulic oil filtration of power packs at different section with the available filtration machines of dept. on routine basis. The job envisages deployment of 1 no. of SW & 1 no. of USW.

Issue & Handling of Spares /items from stores and handing over the spares to different location of Carbon Area as per requirement either by hand/ by forklift / by mini truck on daily basis during General shift. Necessary formalities required at stores have to be compiled. If the issue requisition provided to the contractor during General shift and the work continues beyond General shift, no additional payment will released for the activities. After issue from store, the contractor has also to arrange the spares properly at side stores to the satisfaction of the section in-charges. The job requirement envisages one no. of computer friendly skilled worker who can interact with different dept and should be aware of procedural requirement of Central store. In addition to that three no.s of unskilled worker who will assist issuing, transporting and arranging materials properly atsite transit store before use. Out of these three USW, one will be earmarked for GAP-I & II and another will be for rest of the areas. Forklift & mini truck will be provided by NALCO without any additional cost.

Issue & Handling of equipment spares after issuing from stores to different location of Carbon Area by hand or by forklift beyond G shift or any holiday on emergency.

Removal of fused thimble from pin of bracket by gouging Electrodes involves the segregation of bracket with fused thimbles besides PRS on daily basis by the help of 3 ton Forklift being provided by department & gouging of fused thimble from the good pin (i.e neither weld cracked oreaten away pin),handing over to pin repair shop for either recycling to rodding process or further repairing of other defective pins.

Upkeeping of Pin Repair Shops of CA Mech involves the cleaning of floor area ladden with dust & dirt ,the welding machines and working tables' arranging & stacking of collected pins in order whicjh are issued from central store on daily basis. It envisages deployment of 1 no. of USW for 4 hours a day as a occasion

Upkeeping of GAP-I & II Workshops Area involves cleaning & maintaining of workshops & cover shed area used for storing of overhauled spares/sub-assemblies near workshops of GAP-I & II . It envisages deployment of 2 no. of USW for 8 hours a day as a occasion & frequency will be once in a week .

Upkeeping of Rodding Shop-I Workshops Area involves cleaning & maintaining of workshops & cover shed area used for storing of overhauled spares/sub-assemblies near workshops of Rodding Shop-I . It envisages deployment of 2 no. of USW for 8 hours a day as a occassion & frequency will be once in a week .

Upkeeping of Rodding Shop-II Maintenance Area involves cleaning & maintaining of maintenance bay & cover shed area used for storing of overhauled spares/sub-assemblies near workshops of Rodding Shop-II . It envisages deployment of 2 no. of USW for 8 hours a day as a occassion & frequency will be once in a week .

Upkeeping of HPP rooms & HPP accessories in CA Mech involves cleaning of hydraulic power pack system, its accessories and nearby floor adjacent to the HPP system available in Rodding Shop-I ,Rodding Shop-II,Cleaning Station -I & II and Stacking Cranes of Anode Handling Zone-I. One unit comprises of one tank, many pumps, hoses, valves,distributor blocks,pipe lines,cylinders etc connected to one another.Each power packs are to be attended for maintaining & cleaning once in a fortnight. It envisages deployment of 2 no. of USW for 8 hours a day for executing 1 unit of job.
