| 1Cleaning of raw/treated water underground/Sem-uderground sump of any capacity, including dewatering of the sump, removal of sludge, silt, algae, dirt and all other foreign matter; cleaning of floor, side walls and ceiling by mechanical high-pressure water jetting and steel wire brushing to achieve a clean surface; pumping out and removing dirty water, sludge and debris using suitable wet vacuum pump/dewatering pump; collecting, loading, transporting and disposing of the removed sludge, debris and spoil outside MES land all complete. The work shall further include disinfection of the sump by spraying approved disinfectant/chemical solution of suitable concentration on all internal surfaces, complete in all respects, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes:- The quoted rates shall be deemed to include pumping out of residual water below the foot valve/suction level, manual cleaning of inaccessible portions, all labour, tools, plants, safety equipment, temporary lighting, confined space entry arrangements, testing of gas (where required), and all incidental operations necessary for complete execution of the work. The quoted rates shall also include painting in two coats of approved enamel paint at a conspicuous location on the sump, clearly indicating:Capacity of the sump, Date of cleaning, and Due date of next cleaning, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The contractor shall ensure that the disinfectant used is approved for raw/treated water storage structures and that the sump is made fit for service after completion of cleaning and disinfection, all as specified and directed. | |||||

| 2Cleaning of 0.5 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) MBBR tank, aeration tank, screen chamber and treated water underground sump, including complete dewatering; removal of accumulated sludge, silt, scum, algae, grit, dirt and all other foreign matter; cleaning of floor, side walls, partitions, baffles and ceiling (where applicable) by mechanical high-pressure water jetting and steel wire brushing, pumping out and removing dirty water, sludge and debris using suitable dewatering/wet vacuum pumps, collecting, loading, transporting and disposing of sludge, screenings, grit and other waste outside MES land, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall also include cleaning of MBBR media retaining screens, removal of deposited sludge around air diffusers, manifolds and associated fittings without causing any damage, and cleaning of the screen chamber including removal of screenings and grit. The treated water underground sump shall be disinfected by spraying an approved disinfectant/chemical solution on all internal surfaces. After completion of cleaning, all tanks/chambers shall be restored to their normal operating condition, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. | |||||
