PART A : MECHANICAL WORKS MOTOR DRIVEN MAIN FIRE FIGHTING PUMP Design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Motor driven Centrifugal Horizontal split case Pump Set for fire fighting system with a flow capacity of 2280 LPM and total head of 88 m alongwith all accessories, with CI casing, standard fittings, bronze impeller, S.S. mechanical seal, proper alignment of pumpset with guages, suitably rated TEFC squirrel cage energy efficient induction motor (IE-3) as electrical drive with synchronous speed not exceeding 1500 rpm, Class-F insulation, IP-55 rated to operate at 415 V+/- 10% , 50 Hz+/- 3% , 3 phase AC Supply, including supply of MS common base plate frame and installing pump and motor on it along with foundation bolts, coupling guard,anti vibration pads and other accessories etc complete as per specifications, drawings and instructions of E-I-C. The pump offered shall be of fire fighting duty and its characteristics shall be as per TAC and also as per IS 12469-1988 or its latest edition. Cost of all the items, accessories, fittings, tools and tackles, packing etc required to put pumping system into service shall also be included in rates quoted by bidders.

DIESEL ENGINE DRIVEN MAIN FF PUMP Design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Diesel Engine driven Centrifugal horizontal split case Pump Set for fire fighting system with a flow capacity of 2280 LPM and total head of 88 m alongwith all accessories,with CI casing, standard fittings, bronze impeller, S.S. mechanical seal, suitably rated water cooled Diesel Engine with radiator and fan, having aprox. speed of 1500 rpm, along with 12V/ 24V starting batteries, including supply of MS common base plate frame and installing pump and engine on it along with foundation bolts, coupling guard, anti vibration pads, proper alignment of pump with guages, standard diesel tank of 900 litres capacity, fabricated out of 5mm thick M.S. CRCA sheets with proper MS frame supports and heavy class GI fuel pipe (approximately 30 m each) laid upto engine, exhaust piping with 50mm thick glass insulation and 1mm thick aluminium cladding over it, including supply of bends based on site requirement. Supply of the required first charge of lubricants, fuel, distilled water for battery and other consumables related to diesel engine shall be included. The pump offered shall be of fire fighting duty and its characteristics shall be as per TAC and also as per IS 12469-1988 or its latest edition. The entire job shall be carried out as per relevant standards, specifications and drawings, site conditions and as per instructions of E-I-C. Cost of all the items, accessories, fittings, tools and tackles, packings etc required to put pumping system into service shall also be included in rates quoted by the bidders. Note: The scope shall also include Local control panel with main Panel interface and control cabling, including its termination etc. respects. All the items whether specifically specified but required to put the pumping system into service shall be included in the scope of bidder and no extra payment shall be made for the same.

JOCKEY PUMP Design, Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Motor driven Centrifugal horizontal split case / End suction Jockey Pump Set for fire fighting system with a flow capacity of 180 lpm and total head of 88 m, with CI casing, standard fittings, bronze impeller, S.S. mechanical seal, proper alignment with guages along with all accessories, suitably rated squirrel cage induction motor (energy efficient) as electrical drive with synchronous speed not exceeding 3000 rpm, Class-F insulation, IP-55 rated to operate at 415 V+/- 10% , 50 Hz+/- 3% , 3 phase AC supply, including supply of MS common base plate frame and installing pump and motor on it, alongwith foundation bolts, coupling guard,anti vibration pads and other accessories etc complete as per specifications, drawings and instructions of E-I-C.The pump offered shall be of fire fighting duty and its characteristics shall be as per TAC and also as per IS 12469-1988 or its latest edition. Cost of all the items, accessories, fittings, tools and tackles, packing etc required to put pumping system into service shall also be included in rates quoted by the bidders.

SUBMERSIBLE DEWATERING PUMP Design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Submersible dewatering Pump Set to give a discharge of 100 Lpm and total head of 10 m & 3 phase, 415 v, AC, continuous rated squirrel cage induction motor with class-B insulation, with 40 mm dia outlet GM gate valve, GI delivery pipe of 40 mm dia (Heavy class), with approx.10 m length and necessary fittings, flanges, jointing, supports & painting etc. complete in all respects and as directed by E-I-C.Cost of all the items, accessories, fittings, tools and tackles, pit for installation of pump into U/G tank, packing etc required to put pump into service shall also be included in rates quoted by bidders.

Domestic Water supply pumps Design, Supply, Installation & commissioning of Horizontal split casing / End suction type CI / MS case water pump set of 250 lpm flow at 60 m head capacities, consisting of Bronze impeller, Bronze bearing rings, Mechanical seals, drive motor & common base plate frame for drive motor, pump and its accessories suitable to deliver following capacities, complete with all accessories like priming funnel air cock, air vent etc. including provision for priming with adequate NPHSA to over come suction losses and site constrains. The pumping system shall include Energy Efficient (EF-1)TEFC squirrel cage induction motor of class 'F' insulation suitable for operation at 415 +/- 10 % v, 3 phase, 50 +/- 5 % Hz, AC supply, complete as per technical specifications, drawings, site constraints, with all accessories and hardware etc. The pump and motor shall be ISI marked for continuous duty.

Garden Water supply pumps Design, Supply, Installation & commissioning of Horizontal split casing / End suction type CI / MS case water pump set of 250 lpm flow at 65 m head capacities, consisting of Bronze impeller, Bronze bearing rings, Mechanical seals, drive motor & common base plate frame for drive motor, pump and its accessories suitable to deliver following capacities, complete with all accessories like priming funnel air cock, air vent etc. including provision for priming with adequate NPHSA to over come suction losses and site constrains. AIR CUSHION TANK Design, Supply and erection of air cushion tank (material IS 2062/2002) with drain valve, gate valve, provision for pressure switches, pressure guages etc. inside the pump house including making inlet and outlet connection with MS pipe of required length & dia from discharge header to air cushion tank, fixing properly and securing the same to the base etc. complete in all respect having painting including two coats of approved paint over a coat of primer. The tank shall be fabricated out of 8 mm thick M.S. sheet, shall be of cylindrical shape with 800 mm dia. and 1.5 m height. The tank shall be installed on suitable vertical legs. The legs shall be provided with M.S. plate of size 75 mm x 75 mm x 8 mm at the bottom. The legs shall be grouted in cement concrete foundation. Flange connection shall be provided for connection with discharge header. The fabrication drawings of the tank shall be submitted to EIC and got approved by the department before fabrication. The tank shall be tested at 30 Kg/sq.cm. before installation. Note : Pressure switches shall be measured separately.

M.S. SEAMLESS PIPES Supply, Installation of MS seamless pipe of following nominal sizes and wall thickness and conforming to ASTM A-106 Grade-B and testing at site with clean & potable water a pressure of 1.5 times of operating pressure for 120 minute duration and rectification of leaky joints after laying at site with all necessary specials/fittings, Mechanical/ flanged/ welded joints, Flanged/welded joints with various GI Pipes, elbows, Tees, Bends, Reducers, Collars, Nut & Bolts, jointing including painting with two coats of anti corrosion post office red paints over two coats of red oxide primer (for laying above ground) and including wrapping with 4 mm thick PYPKOTE insulation with adhesive coat in an approved manner as per the specifications and to correct alignment and levels including all hardware in including the testing the specials/ joints hydraulically for the pressure & duration and rectification of leaky joints as specified all as per drawings, specifications and instruction of E.I.C. Cost of all the items, accessories, fittings, tools and tackles, packing etc required to put pumping system into service shall also be included in rates quoted by bidders.

G.I. PIPES Supply, installation and testing of Heavy Duty, "C" Class GI pipes of following sizes confirming to IS-1239 (PART-I) along with all necessary fittings, flanges, jointing (screwed / welded / flanged etc.) and required supports with two coats of paint as per color code of the systems piping over two coats of red oxide primer, including all hardware, dewatering till complition of work including testing the pipes after making necessary joints to hydraulic test pressure of 1.5 times the maximum operating pressure for a period of 2 hrs. at site with clean & potable water and rectification of leaky joints if any and painting all complete as per specifications and as directed by E-I-C. Note: - The pipe line shall be measured along the centre line duly deducting the outer to outer length of the specials.

C.I. GATE / SLUICE VALVE Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of double flanged CI gate (sluice) valves with non rising stem confirming to IS-14846 of rating PN 1.6, with all necessary fittings like flanges & including tail piece, socket flange, neoprene gaskets, nut bolts, hardware, flange joint etc. as per specifications and as directed by E-I-C. The valve should be with ISI mark and shall be tested with stem vertical as per IS sketch.

NON RETURN VALVES Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of double flanged CI non return valves, double flap butter fly type for vertical pipeline & swing check for horizontal pipeline of pressure rating PN 1.6 inline with relevant IS, with gun metal working parts & CI body and including all necessary fittings like flanges, neoprene gaskets, nuts bolts for fixing with pipe, hardware, joints etc. as per drawings, specifications and as directed by E-I-C.

FOOT VALVES Supply, installation and testing of CI flange type foot valves of following sizes, conforming to IS-4038, with strainers and gun metal parts inside foot valve, fixing the valve to the suction pipe of the pump, including necessary jointing materials such as flanges, three ply rubber, adhesive, nuts bolts, washer etc as per specifications and as directed by E-I-C.

PRESSURE GAUGES Supply, installation, testing and commissioning pressure gauges SS material with dial not less than150 mm dia and range 0 to 20 kg/sq.cm and complete in all respects with shut off gauge, cocks , all fittings etc, duly calibrated before installation in MKS and FPS units and fixing the same wherever required and duly tested after installation as directed by E-I-C.

PRESSURE SWITCHES FOR AIR CUSHION TANK Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of suitable Pressure switches on air cushion tank, with a range of 0 -15 Kg/sqcm with low & high set points conforming to relevant IS, specifications, complete in all respects as required & as per instructions of E-I-C. NB.: 1) The pressure switches shall be mounted on a common piping header / Cushion Tank . 2) The control cabling shall be part of this item and shall not be paid extra.

PRESSURE RELEASE VALVES / RELIEF VALVES Supply, installation and testing of suitable Pressure release valve of 80 mm dia, of CI/DI body, with pressure setting range 7-15 kg/sqcm, in pipe line as per relevant IS, complete in all respect as required & as per instructions of E-I-C.

AIR RELEASE VALVE Providing & Fixing of 20/25mm dia. (Type- PN 1.6, Type-S1, Flanged ISI marked) air valve confirming to IS- 14845:2000 with gun metal isolating valve including making necessary flanged/ threaded joints and providing all fitting materials, nuts, bolts, etc. and providing ‘T’ on D.I. /M.S. Pipeline for its installation and shall be tested as per specifications all as per specification and as directed by E.I.C.

M.S. SUPPORTS Fabrication, supply and installation of MS support / Structure (Angle, Channel,Beam,Plate, Chequered Plate etc.) as required but not covered under specific items including Two coats of primer and painting etc. as per specifications and as instructed by E-I-C. Material shall conform to IS-2062.

DISPOSING OF SURPLUS MATERIALS Disposing of the surplus excavated materials by mechanical transport to the lead upto 2 km over the initial lead of 50 m including loading, unloading, spreading, levelling etc., complete all as per specifications and as directed. Note : Voids 20% for soils and 50% for AR/HR shall be deducted from stack/truck measurements to arrive at the net qty for payment in case if directed measurement is not possible.

PCC PEDESTAL Providing PCC supports for underground pipe supports/ headers and other supports of 400 X 400 X 500mm size or instructed by EIC with cement morter 1:2:4 at a distance of 2.5 mtrs from centre to centre for 150 mm dia & above, and 2.0 m distance from centre to centre for below 150 mm dia pipes and with curing and finishing etc. for pipe line etc, all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by E-I-C.

VALVE CHAMBER Construction of brick masonry valve chambers for valves of 1.2 m width x 1.2 m length x 1.2 m depth comprising of 230 mm thick brick masonry in Cement mortar 1:4 over a bed of 150mm thick cement concrete of grade M15 for foundation with 150 mm offset all round, including providing & fixing M.S. steps/ foot rests/ rugs each weighing not less than 5 kg, first step at 450 mm from top of cover, remaining @ 300 mm centre to centre staggered with 380 mm spacing, painting etc. racking out joints & plastering in cement mortar 1:3, 20 mm thick both on internal and external surfaces, internal surfaces finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement, providind 100 mm thick RCC slab casted in M.S. angle box frame of 25 mm x 25 mm x 5 mm size in three equal pieces with reinforcement weighing not less than 100 kg/cu.m., fabricated M.S. angle all round & M.S. flat stiffners including formwork as per drawing etc. complete with lifting hooks at top, providing & fixing C.I. circular surface box weighing not less than 14 kg. over the RCC slab for key rod operation, painting all as per specifications and directions of E.I.C. Including dewatering the pit, if required till completion of the work all complete.

EXTERNAL STAND POST HYDRANT Providing oblique Morris pattern single out let SS Hydrant Landing valve, 80 mm dia flanged inlet & 63 mm dia. Instantaneous type female outlet conforming to IS-5290 with CI hand wheel, SS blank cap with GI chain, twist release type plug, including orifice plate sandwich between two flanges, nuts, bolts, washers, gaskets, with necessary fittings like CI Duck Foot Bend, CI Sluice Valve of 80 mm dia (will be measured seperately as per item no. 10.4), Tee, Elbow etc., including providng 80 mm dia GI class 'C' pipe piece - 450 mm long (approx.) to extent the Hydrant making flanged / welded joints, testing the unit, providing of thrust block of size 500mmx500mmx500mm using PCC of 1:2:4 composition, painting the Hydrant valve and the exposed portion of GI pipe with 3 coats of signal red paint over a coat of Zinc reached primer, all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by E-I-C. Note: 1. GI pipes required shall be measured and paid seperately under relevant item.

HOSE PIPE Supply and installation of Unlined Flax Canvas (i.e. Hose Pipe 02 in each Hose Box) for fire fighting conforming to IS:4927, Fabric Reinforced Rubber Lined Woven-Jacketed (RRL) fire hose type A or Synthetic Fibre Woven-Jacket (SFWJ) Elastomeric fire hose type B conforming to IS:636 or controlled percolations (CP) hose conforming to IS:8423 all with ISI mark as required and 2 nos. of approved synthetic hose of 63 mm dia x 15 mtrs in length, fitted with male and female SS coupling confirming to IS:903, ISI marks with guaranted bursting pressure of 35.7 kg/sq.cm complete as per the given drawing, specifications or instruction of the E.I.C.

HOSE BOX Supply, installation, testing & commisioning of FRP hose pipe box of size 750x650x250mm to accommodate 02 nos. of hose pipe and branch pipe with nozzle or hosy branch pipe with nozzle. The box shall have front glass door lock with angle iron frame. The hose pipe shall be fixed with 4 nos. of C.P. Brass screws and rawal plugs on the walls as shown and as directed by the E.I.C. The M.S. box shall be painted with two coats of signal red enamel paint from outside and white enamel paint from inside. The scope also includes supplying of gun metal/ stainless steel branch pipe of 63 mm dia. fitted with detachable hexagonal nozzle of 19 mm dia. confirming to IS:903 or universal pattern as per IS:2871. The branch pipe with detachable nozzle shall be placed in the hose pipe box.

FIRE BRIGADE CONNECTION Supplying and installing fire brigade Header of 150 mm dia, GI, ‘C’ class pipe, 1 metre long consisting of 4 nos. 63 mm dia SS male inlet with built in check valve for supplying water in U/G tanks as per the given drawings, specification and instructions of the EIC.

ORIFICE PLATE Design, supply and fixing stainless steel orifice plate of not less than 6 mm thick having suitable bore for reducing the pressure at the fire hydrant outlet as per fire brigade requirement and to restrict the operating pressure within 3.5 kg/sq.cm. at the fire hydrant outlet. The orifice plate shall be fixed in position & it shall be fitted between the flanges. The orifice plates shall have test certificate and calibrated to give the required pressure, complete all as per specification, drawings & as directed by E.I.C. NB : 1) The test certificateof orifice plate shall be furnished by contractor 2) The sample calculation for the orifice plate sizing to be furnished by contractor.

SIAMESE CONNECTION Providing & fixing SS Fire Brigade Service inlet Siamese Connection of 150mm dia. GI, 'C' Class pipe, 1 metre long fitted with 4 nos. 63mm dia. instantanous type male coupling with built in check valve complete with bolts, nuts and rubber insertion including testing the joints as required all as per IS-904.

FOUNDATIONS FOR PUMPS Providing and laying Design-Mix Reinforced Cement Concrete foundation for various pumps of M-20 by weight batching using graded stone aggregate of 20 mm maximum size including mechanical mixing and vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing etc. as specified and also including dewatering, if any, cost of form work, shuttering & steel reinforcement, including nozing all around by 50 x 50 x 5 mm angle, all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directd by EIC.

ROAD CUTTING & RE-SURFACING Cutting the existing asphalt road and demolishing WBM or BBM including rubble soling if any for providing services and making good the same after the work is satisfactorily completed, including relaying of soling doing water bound macadam, bituminous bound macadam road providing and laying 50 mm thick asphaltic layer etc, complete as directed by E-I-C.

FOOT PATH CUTTING & RE-SURFACING Removing decorative tiles/ any other items with associated fitting materials from the footpath including rubble soling if any for providing services and making good the same after the work is satisfactorily completed, including relaying of tiles with associated fitting materials/brick works, braking of tiles/bricks should be replaces with same santandard with new one, finishing with cementing etc which are required for the work to be provided and, complete as directed by E-I-C.

FIRE EXTINGUISER

Dry Chemical Powder Supply & fixing the ABC (Powder Type) type fire extinguisher of 4.5 Kg capacity either portable or trolley mounted or wall suspension bracket confirming to IS 15683. The Fire extinguisher shall be supplied and placed without any damage, scratches and loss of accessories as per specification and instruction of EIC.

Carbon-di-oxide Fire extinguishers Providing & fixing of, Carbon-di-oxide Fire extinguishers capacity of 4.5 kg. highly effective against B & C class of fire, Flat base including valve, discharge hose & complete in all respects including initial fill with CO2 gas conforming to IS 15683:2006, wall suspension bracket as required & as per instructions of E-I-C.

Fire Bucket Supply and placing of fire sand bucket filled with dry and clean sand to be kept on floor or wall hook confirming to IS 2546. The fire bucket shall be galvanized mild steel of 13 litres capacity. The bucket shall be provided and placed as per instruction of EIC.

Bucket Stand Providing floor mounting stand for keeping 2 Nos. of FIRE buckets of 1000mm in length, 900mm in height, frame made out of 30x30x4 mm M.S. angle, rectangular bottom frame with cross supports for legs, suitable G.I. pipe shall be welded on the top end of legs with 2 hooks on GI pipe for sand buckets and duly painted with one coat of red oxide and two coats of black paint all complete as per the given drawing, specifications or instruction of Engineer-In-Charge (E.I.C.)

Priming Sintex Tank of capacity 500 ltrs with all interconnecting piping, valves and associated accessories, foundation for tanks & hardware as required to complete the job in all respects.

High Velocity Water Spray System Design, supply, fabrication, erection,testing and comissioning of High Velocity water Spray system for Two Nos. of out door transformers. (connecting water pipe line for HVWS system from nearest suitable point from underground external fire hydrant pipe)

Deluge Valves (DV) Supply, Installation, testing & commissioning of Deluge valves assembly along with all accessories complete in all respect as per drawing, as directed by EIC and as per Technical Specification. It should also include all required accessories such as six way manifold, valves, NRVs, Emergency Release Box, restriction nozzles, pressure gauges, stop valve, Drip valve, check valve, etc. 100 mm dia

H. V. Nozzles Supply, Installation, testing & commissioning of H.V. Nozzles all as per drawing, as directed by EIC and as per Technical Specification. 15 mm dia

Quartzoid Bulb Detectors Supply, Installation, testing & commissioning of Bulb detectors all as per drawing, as directed by EIC and as per Technical Specification. 15 mm dia

Y Strainer Supply, installation and testing of 'Y' strainer of 100 mm dia. sizes made out of cast iron, with perforated brass filter fixed, in position, to flange or pipe with nut bolts, gaskets, washers etc. in an apporved manner, complete in all respect as per drawing, as directed by EIC. 100 mm dia

Gun Metal Ball Valve Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of heavy pattern screw down Gun Metal Gate Valves of 25 mm dia. sizes confirming to relevent IS with hand wheels at top including testing for a pressure of 16 kg/sq.cm. for two hours, all as per specification, drawings and as instructed by Engineer-In-Charge as per Technical Specification. 25 mm dia NOTE : The rate shall include items complete in all respect, as per relevant standards, specification, drawings and as per instruction of Engineer in charge, to put High Velocity Water Spray System into service.

PART B : ELECTRICAL WORKS. M.V Panel Supply, installation,testing & commissioning of Electrical switchboards, powder coated floor mounting,front operated front access cubicle type, totally enclosed, with IP-42 protection with hinged and lockabale doors. It shall be fabricated from 2 mm thick CRCA sheets including interconnections, tinned copper crimping lugs, bonding to earth, suitable for use at 415 V, 3 phase 4 wire 50 Hertz system, and suitable for a fault level of 36 KA symmetrical at 415 V complete as per Drawings, specifications, instructions & approval of EIC and as below : All switchboards shall have provision for entry of cables from the top/bottom as required. All live accessible parts shall be shrouded and all equipment shall be finger touch proof. The bus bars insulation shall be with heat shrinkable sleeves. SMC/DMC shrouds and busbar supports shall be used. Notes 1) All G.A. & fabrication drawings shall be got approved from the E.I.C. Necessary touch up painting may be done at site, incase if required. The scope includes all tests as specified in department's specification, relevant I.S. and as required by E.I.C, shall have to be performed at factory & at installation site and shall be included in the quoted rate. 2) The equipment shall be designed to ensure complete safety during operation inspection, connection of cables etc. 3) Control wires shall be of 1.1 KV 1.5 sq.mm FRLS copper wires and neatly bunched separately and adequately supported so as to prevent sagging and strain on termination. 4) A minimum of 10% spare terminals shall be provided on each terminal block for future requirement. 5) All metallic parts of the equipment not carrying current shall be earthed with Tinned copper material 6) All concealed hinged doors and covers shall be provided with suitable flexible earthing connections. 7) The size of the earth bus chosen shall be to withstand full fault current of 36KA 8) Earth bus bar shall be supported at suitable intervals. 9) All the current transformers shall be resin cast type class-1 only. 10) Name of fabricator, G.A. & detailed fabrication drawing and short circuit forces and temp rise calculation for panel shall be submitted for dept's approval. Heavy Gauge MSERW concealed conduit Supply, installation & testing of Heavy Gauge MSERW concealed conduit in slab/beam/column/wall or on surface on beam/column/ceiling with 5mm thick G.I spacer & 18 SWG G.I saddle fixed with nylon plug, wood screws etc with deep pull out M.S boxes (14 SWG CRCA), deep junction M.S boxes of suitable sizes as per site condition where ever required, steel pull wire to be provided after cleaning etc all as required & as per instruction of E.I.C. Note 1) ISI marked heavy Gauge conduits only used. 2) 25mm dia conduit shall be of 16 SWG wall thickness and 32mm dia/38mm dia conduit shall be 14 SWG wall thickness & ISI marked.
