WATER PROOFING WORK Basment Waterproofing for Retaining Wall (External Side in Walls - Soil Side): Providing and laying composite minimum 0.5mm thick, post-applied, self adhesive HDPE membrane , conforming to IS 16471:2017 / BS 8102:2022 Type A requirements of UG waterproofing structures, manufactured in India with CE certified plant. The system is post applied to the RCC and consists of self adhesive layer with release liner which helps to bond RCC members. The membrane shall have factory made 75mm selvedge at side laps to facilitate proper bonding at the over lapping area and end laps should be overlapped with 100mm wide overlap. The membrane is sticked to RCC walls starting from the bottom of the wall and work progressively removing the release paper in stages.The membrane should be thoroughly rolled through out the length along with overlaps and joints to ensure complete adhesion between layers and the RC member. Backfilling material must be free from sharp objects and debris that could damage the Preprufe® S500. It should not contain house bricks, blocks or boulders larger than 50 mm. The single selvedge HDPE membrane shall have: 1. Tensile strength of 20 MPa as per ASTM D 412, 2. Elongation of 500% as per ASTM D 412, 3. Puncture resistance 200N as per ASTM E 154, 4. Peel adhesion to concrete 1000N/m as per ASTM D 903 6. Hydrostatic head resistance upto 50m (ASTM D 5385), 7. Lap Peel adhesion 1200 N/m (ASTM D 1876) 8. Low Temperature Flexibility -25oC, Pass as per ASTM D 1970 The laid membrane shall be protected with Dimple board 6-8mm thick (or as decided by engineer-in-charge) to be placed directly on membrane. Supplying and installing waterproofing treatment for Raft by using fully bonded HDPE sheet membrane 1.5mm thick before casting of the RCC Raft. The preapplied, fully bonded HDPE sheet membrane to get bonded to the underneath of the poured concrete used as base/ raft slab to resist lateral water migration. The fully bonded HDPE sheet membrane shall consist of a thick HDPE film, a highly aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive and weather resisting coating which bonds integrally to poured concrete of base slab. The membrane shall conforms to basement waterproofing protection to grade 3 as defined in BS 8102:2009. The fully bonded HDPE sheet waterproofing membrane shall have following minimum properties : 1) Resist hydrostatic pressure of > 70 m head of water (as per ASTM D5385) 2) Peel Adhesion to concrete- Minimum 1200 N/mm 3) Puncture Resistance – 900N 4) Tensile strength -26N/mm2 5) Engloation :600% 6) Bare HDPE Thickness of Min 0.9mm (Composite thickness - 1.5mm) 7) Lap Joint Strength - 12000 N/m (Welded joints) The fully bonded HDPE sheet membrane shall be installed with Weldable Joints Method, The membrane shall be laid over the concrete blinding having smooth dried surface including necessary removal of release liner while applying, necessary overlaps between the membranes and fixing overlaps by Double sided adhesive tape firm rolling onto the surface to get a tight seal, etc wherever required.. Hot applied materials or protective screed shall NOT be permitted. All systems to be installed as per manufacturer's recommendations, etc. complete with all lead and lift for all materials and labour and as directed by Engineer in-charge.
Supplying & applying 2 two coats of High Performance & Ultra flexible polymer modified elastomeric waterproofi ng membrane system using suitable brush or roller to achieve over all 1 mm wet film thickness at a coverage rate of approx. 15-16 sqm per 25 kg pack and applying min 450mm above FGL at vertical surfaces. Cured Brushbond Ultraflex shall comply with Adhesion to substrate (ASTM D4541:2002) > 1.0 N/mm2; Shore A hardness (ASTM) D2240:2010 - 79; Tensile strength (ASTM D412-2013) >1.50 N/mm2; Elongation at break (ASTM D412-2013) > 150% ; Water Permeability (EN 12390 Part8)- Nil; Water vapour transmission (ISO 7783) ˷20.81 g/m2.hr; Crack bridging: (ASTM C1305) 1.0 mm; Foot traffi c* 6 hr +/- 1 hr to achieve a DFT of Minimum 1 mm in 2 coats, including proper surface preparation as per manufacturers' recommendation, filling cracks with microconcrete & all the honeycombed areas shall be identified and injected with cement slurry admixed with expansive, Non shrinkage additive @ 225gms or as per manufacturer recommendationper bag of cement. Making of angle fillets all around the periphery of the wall with polymer modified mortar using SBR Latex dosage as per manufacturer to weight of cement, etc, complete as per below mentioned methodology/method statement(i) Treatment of visible leaking cracks and leaking construction joints with micro concrete or as directed by EIC.(ii) Making vata (cove) with site-prepared CM 1:3 mortar admixed with bonding agent dosage as per manufacturer to weight of cement. Toilet (iii) Injection grouting treatment of leaking miscellanous points (if any) with cement slurry admixed with Approved non-shrink plasticizing admixture. (iv) Bore Packing and Sealing the joint between plumbing pipes and RCC slab/ wall with Non shrinkage Micro concrete and 150mm wide strip of an open woven glass fiber mesh sandwiched with 2 coats of waterproof coating. (v) Supply and application of Brush-applied Approved Acrylic two component Polymer Modified Cementitious Waterproofing Coating coverage/consumption rate per coat / 2 coats, as per manufacturer's speicifications and recommendation on the sunken slab, sunk sides and wall upto height as specified in the BOQ. Vi) Making of bund using of micro concrete at door location and full height window and where ever required, as per approved method statement. vii) PIPE INLET / OUTLET TREATMENT (AT ALL LOCATIONS) : Supplying & sealing the pipe inserts, etc provided in the floor & walls with 1.5 mm thick two sided non-reinforced polymerized bituminous self adhesive Tape to seal the joint between pipes/inserts and the core cuts. The Tape shall have Softening point (R&B) >60⁰C as per ASTM D 36, Elongation, (Compound) > 500% as per ASTM D 412, Water absorption at 24 hrs < 0.3 as per ASTM D 570, Water permeability @ 5bar : Nil as per BS EN 12390, Adhesion strength : 1.0 N/mm as per ASTM D 1000, Cold temperature flexibility < -6⁰C as per UEAtc, followed by grouting the gaps around the pipe / inserts with a non shrink cementitious waterproof grout, shall conform to ASTM C 109 - 1999 18, ASTM C 1107, Grade C, etc, complete. - We have considered max 3 number of corecut of max. dia 150 & max. gap of 25 mm between the core cut and the pipe. viii) Protection to vertical and horzontal waterproofed surface with plaster / screed: Shall be paid under seperate item in this BOQ Mode of measurement : Treated Surface area of Toilet Floor & Wall shall be considered for measurement for this item, prescribed overlaps shall not be considered in measurement (for more detail pl refer pdf file)
lift pit - Floor
Providing and carry out waterproofing treatment to sound,moisture free concrete surface using Single Component Polyurethane membrane - Fast setting , Spray applied PU elastomeric waterproofing coating having advantage of seamless coating with long life cycles and high durability. The waterproofing procedure will as per below sequence: i) Surface Preparation: Surface to be coated must be structurally sound, dry and free from loose material. All surface contamination must be removed.Grease and oil should be grit-blasted.Deeper penetration must be removed by mechanical means. New concrete should be allowed to cure for atleast 28 days prior to coating. ii) Vatta Preparation : Preparation of chamfer or vatta at wall & floor junction i.e The junction between RCC floor & wall should be treated by preparation of vatta of size min. 50mm X 50mm with Polymer Modified Mortar - prepare SBR polymer modified styrene butadiene emulsion@ 4-5 liter per 50 kg bag of cement & 150 kg sand. (cement and sand shall be supplied by contractor). iii) Primer Application: Application of primer - two-part solvent free, epoxy penetrating Primer by using roller at coverage rate of 0.25 kg per sqm .A broadcast of fire dried sand is recommended for optimum adhesion properties. The applied primer should be allowed to reach touch dry condition before applying polyurethane membrane. iv) Application of Spray applied Polyureathane coating must be carried out utilizing high-pressure, heated two component Graco or equivalent spray proportioning equipment. polyurethane membrane should be applied to achieve the required dry film thickness of 1.5 mm @ consumption of 1.5 litres/sqm using cross hatch pattern. The proportioning equipment utilized must be capable of supplying correct pressure and heat for the appropriate hose length on a consistent basis. polyurethane membrane shall exibit the properties. Solids by Volume : 100% Tensile strength ASTM D412 : >9 MPa Tear Resistance ASTM D624C : 50 KN/m Shore A Hardness (ASTM D2240): 80 Elongation ASTM D412 : >450% Abrasion (1kg,CS17 wheels) DIN EN ISO 5470 :15.8 mg /1000 cycles Service temperature: -20⁰C to +80⁰C Resistant to Fire (EN13501-1)-Class E d0 vii) Termination of Membrane:The coating shall be taken over the parapet well and shall be terminated by providing groove min 300mm down on the other side of the parapet wall.
