Attending routine compaints of external water supply including rectification of minor defects by taking down of existing GI/PPR tubing up to 25 mm bore, cutting/threading and making joints and cleaning for any blockages, opening of float valve of service tanks, cleaning and fixing the same in its position, replacement of jumper valve/ packing sheet of gate valve and including replacement of GI unions/sockets/nipples etc as required at site complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 4 here-in-before but for GI tubing 40 mm bore to 50 mm bore.

Attending compaints of BLOCKAGE OF WATER PIPE LINES / NO WATER SUPPLY AT ANY kind of ACCOMODATION ( MARRIED / OTM/ single / multi story building), IDENTIFY THE FAULTS including rectification by taking down of existing GI/PPR tubing up to 80 mm bore, cutting/threading and making joints and cleaning for any blockages, opening of float valve of service tanks, cleaning and fixing the same in its position, replacement of valve/ packing sheet of gate valve and including replacement of GI unions/sockets/nipples etc as required at site TO RESTORE WATER SUPPLY complete all as specified and directed.

Notes for Sl item No 1 to 6 :- (a) The contractor will be alloted complaints at MES complaint cell on requirement basis on all working days including Sundays and holidays and sufficient tradesman / resources will be deployed by him/her for completion of day to day comaplaints within 12 hours from the time of reporting. Any delay beyond above mentioned time limit without intimation of genuine cause, penalties will be recovered twice of the quoted rate for each un-attended complaint. (b) A detailed log book of complaints with completion/non-completion remarks from users/MES will be maintained by the contractor and the same will be updated on daily basis in consulatation with JE E&M/Engineer-in-Charge. (c) The contractor will make suitable arrangment for emergency complaints and will notify authorised representive/Engineer-in-Charge about extraordinary circumstances for probable non-completion or delay in rectification of complaints beyond stated time limit set for disposal of complaint. In case of any dispute the decision of accepting officer will be final and binding in this regard.

(d) The contractor will intimate MES authority well in advance if electric shutdown is required during rectification of complaints. (e) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of transportation and other expenses required for the resource deployment at the complaint site around scattered Military station at Secunderabad. (f) The contractor will maintain location wise record of each spare/fittings utilized as per inventry format given by AGE E/M, Secunderabd and the same shall be submitted to E/M No II store yard on requirement basis. (g) The stationery required for the job work such as complaint slip books, gate pass book, job card and T&P shall be arranged and maintained by the contractor. (h) The cost of excavation / earth work above 1 CUM mesured and paid separately under relivent items . (j) Contractor is responsible for repair/replacement of any damages to the existing structures, Under Ground HT/LT/OFC Cables etc during the course of execution. (k) Spares/GI fittings required to be replaced and shall be measured and paid separately under respective items.

Rectification of lekages in pumping /delivery lines(CI/DI/PPR/MS) of size 80 mm to 100 mm at Military area / Military Roads /civil Roads /PWD Roads /Cantt board roads by taking necessary permission from respective authorities by excavating PCC/RCC/pavement/soft&hard soil/rock of any depth by using necessary T&P(Excavator/hammer drill)as per the requirement , De-watering from the trenches by using pump sets, rectification of leakages, fixing of CI/ DI specials such as collars, bends/tail peaces,any type of gasket , welding work etc as required to arrest the leakages completely and making joints, filling the trenches , site clearences and PCC at the top portion as required complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) CI specials, lead Joints, D-Joints, Clamp joints, DI/CI/PPR/MS Pipe etc shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQ. (ii) Excavation and PCC will be measured and paid separately under relivent items. (iii) Rate of any kind of gasket and Lead joint , necessary barrication for safety of worker etc as required , deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Supply and lay MS black tubing including specials , having outside dia of 212 mm and 6 mm thick ISI marked conforming to IS 3589 - 2001 with plain ends complete including connecting of MS pipes and specials by welding, leak testing of pipe line laid in trenches / floors / walls / ducts complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: Quoted rates are deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of flange of suitable size, bends as required , welding and cutting etc as required for fixing of pipe .

Core cutting / drilling of Bldg Roof / Wall for passing of GI Pipe up to 40 mm dia incuding necessary mechinaries complete all as specified and directed

Material & labour for properly cleaning and disinfecting clear water storage tank/ reservoir, underground sump/semi underground sump of any size and any height of staging by using mechanical means and scientific cleaning by carry out the following stages of cleaning process for disinfection of surfaces:- (a) First stage: drain out the water by using exit valve or own high capacity dewatering system. (b) Second stage : Removal of algae by scrubbing the walls of the tanks and cleaning of walls, ceiling and floor by using cleaning agent appropriate for tank cleaning like TERBAC G5/Inchlor-5/NB10 or govt approved laboratory tested chemical. (c) Third stage : fresh water cleaning by high speed jet pump with pressure 5 PSI. (d) Fourth stage : first bacteria screening is Sterilization the tank inner surface from all harmful pathogens by spraying non toxic, 100% biodegradable in nature, eco friendly, antibacterial agent by using TERBAC G65 / Inoxi60 / NB69 or govt approved laboratory certified. Test certificate from government laboratory mentioning suitability for sterilization should be submitted to the office before using for sterilization. (e) Fifth stage : Wet and dry vacuum cleaning by heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaner. (f) Sixth stage: Second bacteria screening and sterilizing method by using ultra violet radiation having bactericidal wave length to kill any possible residual bacteria in the reservoir walls/floor/ceiling/space inside the reservoir for minimum 1 hour. (g) Seventh Stage : Cleaning and third bacteria screening is to sterilize reservoir by using laboratory certified branded strong oxidizing agent safe for drinking water. Test certificate From Government Laboratory mentioning suitability for sterilization should be submitted to the office before using for Sterilization. (h) The wire mesh of ventilaters of the tank shall be replaced with new GI wire mesh. (j) Cleaning of external surfaces, lid wall of the tank, structure for all scales and other particles any algae, hives and any type of vegetation or any other unwanted matters, complete all as directed. (k) A sticker of appropriate size and colour as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and of non degradable material with printed details as under:- (i) CA No. (ii) Name of Applicant (iii) Name of the Contractor (iv) Columns for date of cleaning and expiry date will be written or printed on the sticker by permanent marking ink.

(k) Painting of angle iron ladder for UG sump after scrapping of old paint by emery paper or any other means with two coat of enamelled black paint over a coat of red oxide primer including arrangement of scrap folding/ bamboo structure required for entire work. (l) Painting of any type of pipe in side / outside the tank with suitable colour coding. Note: - (1) Contractor will submit Government laboratory test certificate and deploys 30 % of skilled sterilization team with minimum 3 months certificate holder in water tank sterilization . (2) Testing of raw and clear water from the reservoir as per physicochemical analysis of HMWS& SB by the contractor without any extra cost to department . (3) Contractor will make alternate arrangement to make sure of water supply to consumer or cleaning of tank in alternate days to avoid hampering of water supply, the same will be done as per instruction and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (4) Labour, Engineer, Supervisor, plant & Tools required for executing the work and for accommodation, safety of persons deployed on the work shall be contractors arrangement and responsibility. (5) In case the work in each stage of cleaning, disinfecting, finishing etc is found carried out inferior to the contract specifications & provisions and the work is still found to be technically, hygienically acceptable, the work will be devalued and recovery from contractor shall be made as to be decided by the competent authority in terms of condition 46 of IAFW-2249 amended up to date. (6) Before completion of work in each reservoir, writing letters or figures for date of cleaning and capacity of tank with synthetic enamel paint with black background & letters/numbers in white colour & words size 10 cm height on the tank with Date of cleaning and due date for next cleaning shall be marked on the reservoir by the contractor without any extra cost to department and also provide certificate confirming the completion of sterilization of water tanks, mentioning the name of station and date of cleaning. all the cleaning & Sterilization staffs should be under accidental insurance coverage and copy of the same to be submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge. (7) Contractor will not be allowed more than one day to do the work inside of the each OH Tank / UG Sump to prevent interruption of water supply to the users. (8) Work to be executed any area in the AOR of AGE E/M No -II (U)
