SHORT TERM MAINTENANCE CONTRACT (STMC) WORK FROM KM 0/00 TO KM 28/00 (EXCLUDING ONGOING WORK IN PROGRESS) OF CHANDAWAJI - KUNDA SECTION OF NH-248 IN THE STATE OF RAJASTHAN

Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting rank vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees girth up to 300 mm, removal of stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material up to a lead of 1000m including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding in 150 mm thickness as per MoRTH specification clause 201 - By mechanical Means. - In area of light jungle

Restoration of rain cuts with soil, Morrum, gravel or a mixture of these including all leads and lifts and cost of arrangement of land, clearing the loose soil, benching for 300 mm width, laying fresh material in layers not exceeding 250 mm and compacting with plate compactor or power rammer to restore the original alignment levels & slopes complete as per MoRTH specification Clause 3002.

Making up loss of material/ irregularities on shoulder to the design level by adding fresh approved soil with all leads & lifts and compacting it with plate compactor complete as per MoRTH specification Clause 3003.

Repair of pot holes by Wet Mix Macadam material by removal of all failed material, trimming of completed excavation to provide firm vertical faces, cleaning of surface, compacting base of excavation as per clause 503, back filling the pot holes with wet mix macadam material by manual means as per clause 406, compacting with roller 8-10T, trimming and finishing the surface to form a smooth continuous surface, all as per clause 3004.

Filling pot-holes and patch repairs with bituminous concrete, 40 mm with removal of all failed material, trimming of completed excavation to provide firm vertical faces, cleaning of surface, painting of tack coat on the sides and base of excavation as per Clause 503 back filling the pot holes with hot bituminous material using 60/70 grade bitumen @ 5.0% of total mix & mixed in hot mix plant 40-60 TPH capacity and carriage with all leads as per clause 509, compacting with smooth wheel roller 8-10 tonne, trimming & finishing the surface to form a smooth continuous surface, all as per MoRTH specification Clause 3004.2

Providing and laying marking of center line and stop line and zebra crossingetc with hot thermoplastic compound of approved quality with type-1 glass beeds (Table-800-9) , 2.5 mm thick on road/ plain surface, including reflectorising glass beads type-2 (Table-800-10) @ 250 gms per sqm area with special applicator machine, as per IRC:35 including cleaning the surface of all dirt, dust and other foreign matter, demarcation at site and traffic control involved. The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes as per clause 803 of MoRT&H Specification including all material, labour, machinery, lighting, guarding and maintenance of diversion.

Raised Payment Marker (Cats Eye): Supplying and Fixing of Molded Shank Raised Pavement Markers made of ABS Moulded body and Polycarbonate Reflective panels with Micro Prismatic Lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 35000 Kilogram tested in accordance to ASIM D 4280 & ASTM D 788. The Height of Road Stud is 20mm, Width 100mm, Length 100mm and minimum reflective area of 13 sqcm on each side.The Strength of detachment of the integrated cylender shank not less than 14+/-2mm (Thickness) and height not less than 30+ 2mm from the body. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive

Solar Raised Pavement Markers: As per ASTM D 4280 & ASTM D 788 Supply & Installation of Solar Raised Pavement Markers made of Aluminium Alloy Body with Squre shape, solar powered, LED self illumination in active mode. The solar stud marker shall support a load of 25000 kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280. The marker should be resistant to dust and water ingress according to lS:12063:1987 standard and should withstand temperatures in e of 10°C to 75°C. Color of lighting could be provided in red or yellow (amber) as per requirement and typical frequency blinking is 2Hz. There should be super bright LEDs (one gach side with over 5000 (Milicandle) luminous intensity) and its visibilty should not less than l000meter distance in night. The Height, width and length of the marker shall be less than 20mm,125mm, 125mm and it should have one cylinder type shank 30mm + / - 2mm and length of shank should be 60mm +1-5mm. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks ,to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive

Clearing slab/box type culvert and pipe culvert including clearing, cleaning and reshaping of upstream and downstream phases of these culvert with in right of way. The job includes disposal of excess material recovered from site including vegetation outside ROW with all leads and lifts complete in all respects as per direction in charge (frequency of cleaning will be one time in a year i.e. before start of mansoon).

Clearing road side/Median open lined/ pucca drains/covered drains/piped drains including Manholes, gratings, channels and Galis etc. of all sizes and bring them to original shape, drainage capacity incuding disposal of sediments, extraneous debris & vegetation growth blocking the free flow from site outside ROW with all leads and lifts complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer in charge and as per Additional Maintenance Standard clause no. 6.12.1). (Frequency of cleaning in urban areas will be quarterly whereas in rural areas it will be twice in year i.e. before and after monsoon).Maintenance of drain as per MoRT&H specification clause 201 & 2800.
