A-Supply & Execution of S&T Items
Supply & fixing of GI troughing & Channel on girder bridges for carrying cables. Fixing of channel with Girder to be done with hook/ 'J' bolts of suitable size to held the load of the troughing as per Drg. No. CSTE/3004 and CSTE/3006.

Double Walled Corrugated (DWC) HDPE Pipe with associated collars etc. as per RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/204/2011 or latest anti-rodent & anti-oxidant and non-flame propagating type i n 6 meters straight length and of size 120 mm outer dia & 103.5 mm inner dia.One of the 7 following coupling arrangements should also be supplied with each pipe as per the site requirement. Cable Route Survey & Preparation of as built final Cable Route Plan and other Plans (for OFC as well as other Telcom cables) on Auto cad for the whole section. One set will be supllied by contractor after joint survey and will be approved by SIte Engineer of Railway. It includes 49 changes during execution which shall be incorporate in the same set. After execution of work and approval from site engg after all chnages, all plans/documents on tracing paper along with Six prints of cable route plan . Jointing and splicing schedule, cable hut wiring diagram etc. in good quality folder shall be supplied by contrcator. The contractor shall also supply the auto cad documents in CD/pendrive.
Excavation of trench 300 mm wide at the bottom and 1.2 meters deep in all types of soils including clearing of trees, bushes, etc., and refilling of cable trench by excavated soil and ramming after laying of HDPE DUCT (laying of HDPE/DWC & 6 Quad. cables, PIJF cables, etc., will be 50 paid under different items of the schedule). Where desired dimensions of trenches cannot be achieved proportionate payment will be made as decided by the Engineer-in-charge of the Railway at site. The trenching outside the station limits I.e.) between the home signal of station 'A' and to home signal of station 'B' may be done manually or by machine, as per the directions of the site in charge. In no case, the payment will be made for the trench of higher dimensions than the dimensions mentioned above.
Manual / Machine horizontal auger boring/drilling of 100mm dia Horizontal Bore 51 across the Railway Track/ Across Road at LC gates/ in section as per requirement by Boring method at a depth of 1.65 mm from the ground level/ ground level to be considered ignoring the bank height of the bank/road etc, as per the instructions of Engineer in charge at site/as per drg No.RAILTEL/SR/OFC/2008/10 or latest.
Digging of trench 1.2 M deep from rail flange/ road level and, 0.3 Mtr to 0.6 Mtr wide 52 and back filling after placing of D W C / RC C / G I p i p e . (Placing o f DWC/RCC/GI pipe covered separately).The ballast disturbed be screened and dressed as required by Engineer-in-charge or his representatives and road tarred immediately. For track crossing, Drg. No. CSTE/3644 Pg.7 of 11 and for Road Crossing, Drg. No. CSTE/3644 Pg. 5 of 11 are to be followed.
Digging of cable trench 0.3 Mtr. Deep and 0.3 Mtr. Wide on Asphalted Platform / Road / Hard rocky area. Refilling with earth leveling o f trenches & restoring t h e original surface of trenches.
Cutting of Hard rock in trenches /Preparation of cable way/Chase 150 mm wide at the bottom and 300 mm deep in hard rock ( Drg prepared by contactor & approved by Engineer In charge) for laying of S&T cables where minimum required depth not possible & which is verified and agreed by Engineer In charge of the work or his reprenstative shall be made as per Drg. No RE/S&T/ALD/SK/301/85. refilling of the same with concrete mixture of 1:3:6 from top of the cable way/ chase. Payment of concrete will be made separately through a seperate item in the schedule of work. Running
Placing of DWC/RCC/GI pipes/split DWC along with collars in trenches at places of track and road crossings, platform cuttings etc.
Cement concrete work f o r miscellaneous items i n the ratio 1 : 3 : 6 . Item includes excavation, ramming, curing and plastering with cement & sand mixture (aggregate not exceeding 3.8 cm.) (Aggregate cement & sand to be supplied by the contractor).
Providing brick masonry in ratio 1:6 cement and mortar including plastering with 1:4 57 cement a n d sand mixture both sides, 2 0 m m thick each with contractor's owned class I I bricks, including excavation, curing, grouting, bolting etc.wherever required. Bricks sand and cement to be supplied by the contractor.
Provision of Power supply arrangement, with contractors own Generating sets, 58 capacity 5 KVA or above as per requirement of Station Signalling load, for testing of Signalling system in the case of irregular Local power supply /under capacity AT,s supply system at station.{Day=per Set/Day}.
Installation, Wiring Testing and commissioning of Battery Charger and Maintenance Free VRLA Battery set at each station. This includes DC Bus bar,Power wire of suitable gauge, Casing/Caping, and other materials as per instruction of Site Engineer.
Supply, Installation, testing and commissioning of surge protection cum safety device (Class B + Class C) suitable for single phase for Telecom Equipment as per RDSO specification No. RDSO/SPN/TC/ 98/2011, Rev. 0 with Amendment No.1 or latest.
Installation of 19 " rack with necessary accessories.
Transportation and Laying of HDPE pipe as per approved cable route plan in the excavated trench, taking due care while transporting and laying the same in the trenches or other protective works. Both the end of duct should be sealed with end plugs before laying.
Blowing of OFC through HDPE duct & protective work (elicited in above item) already provided. Where it is not feasible to blow OFC due to curves, road/track crossings, bridges or for any 63 other reason, OFC shall be drawn /laid manually as per standard procedure. All the equipments and machinery required shall be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. In case OFC is to be laid adopting 'Direct in trench' method then this item shall be paid as per accepted rate of item of this schedule. OFC and HDPE pipe shall be supplied by the railway.
Preparation, splicing, makingand installation of OFC straight through joints with 64 enclosure/ LIU termination.Splicing should be done by trained person, the losses shall not exceed beyond the prescribed limit. If losses exceed the prescribed limit, the contractor have to re-splice free of cost.
Supply and installation of rack mountable LIU along with all accessories suitable for 24 F mono mode fibre. LIU supplied should be of slider type and as per instruction of Site engineer. Make-D-link, Commscope, Raychem, 3M, or similar.
Installation of fiber distribution management system (Supply covered above) with all installation materials, restoration wall, floor etc., to original condition, splicing and termination of 48 fiber cable (With all materials), routing/dressing fibers as per instruction Engineer in-charge.
End to end testing of all fiber ofthe optical fibre cable laid under above items between Station/Cable Huts/OC & other locations.All required equipments, tools and plants shall be arranged by the contractor. Five number of printout of traces in folders of OFC parameters/ results, The per kilometer link loss shall be as per the policy/technical circulars issued by the railways from time to time.
Transporation and laying of 6 Quad/PIJF cables in Trenches/ GI pipe/RCC pipe/DWC pipe, Trunking etc as per approved cable route Plan and instruction of Site Engineer.
Execution of Straight/Derivation/EC Jointon Quad/PIJF Cables as perinstructions by the 69 siteengineer. All the materialrequired for the work is to bearranged by the contractorhimself at his own cost,except for the ThermoShrinkable Joint Kit. Afterjointing the cable throughtests such as insulation test,continuity test, cable lossesetc., to be carried out jointlywith the Railway Engineer. Ifany defect or damage isobserved during jointing, thecontractor has to redo thejoint free of cost.
Fabrication and erection of EC socket box assembly as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. This includes- Supply and transportation of posts of the required size as per 70 Drawing No. DRM/S&T/RTM/2007/1 or latest revision or as per instruction of engineer incharge , Excavation of pits, fixing of EC socket boxes, and erection of the complete assembly at site, Termination of 6-Quad/PIJF cables onto the 6-pin EC socket strips inside the box. In addition to the above, the center pins of the EC sockets shall be terminated using a dedicated pair from the 6-Quad cable (derived through the tail PIJF cable) across the entire block section.
Painting of emergency socket assembly, and rail post by supplying one coat of redoxide as base colour and then painting the assembly as per zebra painting in black and white colours of 150 mm width.
Supply and installation of RCC pre-fabricated OFC jointing Pits as per DRG. No- RDSO/TCDO/COP-21 (a)/ latest.The material shall be supplied as per the engineer in charge's instructions.
Supply, fixing, painting, and installation of RCC cable route marker "TELECOM" engraved and painted on both sides along the route every 50 m and route diversion as per DRG.NO.RDSO/TCDO/COP-22 (a) / as per direction of site in charge.
Installation of Maintenance free Earth Electrode as per RDSO/SPN/197/2008 or Latest.
Supply and fixing 20 pairsmetallic DP box with lockingarrangement's, krone/ wagoframe /modules along with otheraccessories.
Installation of DTMF/way side Telephone in all stations, LC Gate, SP,SSP, & TSS. This includes supply and fixing of DP, PVC Channel, Telephone Bracket and laying/Termination of Switchboard Cable.
Execution of erection of galvanized iron trunking , perforated cable tray as per site incharge. Fitting of support at an interval of 1mtr including laying of cables inside the trough and other materials as required for the work shall be supplied by the contractor.
