REPAIR/MAINT/RENOVATION OF CHEMICAL/COPPER/GI EARTHING OF POWER TRANSFORMER, DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER VCBs, LT PANELS, SERVO VOLTAGE STABILIZER, ISOLATION TRANSFORMER AND CONNECTED WORKS AT AF STN CHABUA UNDER GE (AF) CHABUA

M &L for GI Earthing with GI earth plate electrode 900 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (size of Earth pit not less than 1.20 m x 0.90 m x 2.25 m ) verticvally to depth not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level with top edge of earth plate connected to galvanised earth strip of size 50 x 6 mm up to 7.5 mtr long by means of brazing with nuts, bolts, check nuts, & washers ,testing (drawn in earth strip protection pipe light gade GI of size 80 mm dia) by means brazing at both edges with vertical plane of electrode all as shown in plate No 3 of SSR Part - I connected to earthing strip with earth termination point filling with charcoal dust 100 Kg, common salt 100 KG , including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil ,perforated watering pipe,funnel with wire mesh,earth strip protection pipe light grade PCC chamber 1:3:6 type C1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate (for even finish on both the faces) and RCC cover 1:2:4 Type B1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate,450 x450 x50 mm thick with 6 mm dia CTD bars 150 mm c/c with 2 Nos of handles of 10 mm dia steel rod all as specified and directed and testing on completion and connected to equipment with lugs and screw nuts etc all as specified and directed by Enginner-in-charge. Note:- (i) Taking dwon old unserviceable dilapidated chemical earthing are included in quoted rate. (ii) Earth resistance of earth pit should be less than 5 Ohms. on testing after completion if the desired earth resistance in not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost given to the contractor by department. (iii) Earth strip upto 7.5 RM GI strip deemed to be included in quoted rates beyond 7.5 RM GI strip shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L for Chemical earthing with copper plate electrode 900 mm x600 mm x 5 mm thick buried directly in Ground (size of Earth pit not less than 1.20 m x 1.20 m x 4.5 m ) with top edge of the earth plate connected to copper Strip 50 x 6 mm thick 7.5 mtr long by means of brazing,testing on completion,(drawn in earth strip protection pipe light gade GI of size 65 mm dia) by means brazing at both edges with vertical plane of electrode all as shown in plate No 3 of SSR Part I connected to earthing strip ,filling with charcoal 400 Kg, common salt 225 KG and Mgso4 200 KG necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil ,perforated watering pipe,funnel with wire mesh,earth lead protection pipe light grade PCC chamber 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate (for even finish on both the faces) and RCC cover 1:2:4 Type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate,550 x550 x50 mm thick with 6 mm dia CTD bars 150 mm c/c with 2 Nos of handles of 10 mm dia steel rod 500 mm long all as specified and directed and testing on completion and connected to equipment with lugs and screw nuts etc all as specified and directed by EIC Note:- (i) Taking dwon old unserviceable dilapidated chemical earthing are included in quoted rate. (ii) Earth resistance of earth pit should be less than 1 Ohms. on testing after completion if the desired earth resistance in not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost given to the contractor by department. (iii) Earth strip upto 7.5 RM Copper strip deemed to be included in quoted rates beyond 7.5 RM Copper strip shall be measured and paid separately.

M & L for maintenance free chemical earthing system complete with 03 (three) nos copper bonded rods, 17.2 mm dia 3000 mm long electrode buried at suitable distance apart directly in ground, to bore holes of 120 mm dia vertically to a depth not less than 3.60 mtr deep below ground level with top edge of earth electrode at a depth not less than 100 mm below normal ground level, provision of clamps or brazed or both for each copper bonded rods made of copper and copper strip of size 25 x 3 mm & strip connection on the top of the electrode and copper strip of size 25 x 3 mm for inter connection of 03 nos copper bonded rods and laying at least 500 mm below in the ground and further connected to test point terminal block (copper strip and test terminal block shall be measured separately), including back filling of bore holes with advanched earth enhancing compound 96 kilogram (minimum) of Make : Erico or equivalent of Macmet/True Power/Ennov for artificial treatment to soil so as to achieve earth resistance below 01 Ohms as specified in para 19.140 of SSR Part-1 (2009), including provision of earthing pit in PCC(1:3:6) type C1 pre-cast cover RCC slab of size 400 x 400 x 50 mm with one handle made out of 8 mm dia round bar, including necessary earth work and three coats of white wash on plastered surface (exposed surfaces) and testing complete all as directed and including necessary earth work and testing complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i)Taking down old unservicible dilapidated chemical earthing are included in quoted rate. (ii)Earth resistance of earth pit should be less than 1 Ohms. On testing after completion, if desired earth resistance is not obtained, the earthing will be redone. no extra cost will be given to the contractor by the department for this purpose. (iii) Upto 7.5 RM, copper strip deemed to be included in quoted rates. Beyond 7.5 RM copper strip shall be measured and paid seperately.

Repair/maintance and testing of earth resistance value of existing GI earthing by megger, and repair/replacement of copper strip where found corroded and if required providing common salt 10 Kg and Coal dust 10 Kg per earthing as directed to achieve required earth resistance value less than below 5 Ohms complete all as directed. Note : - (i) Replacement of GI strip/GI Conductor will be measured paid separately under relevant items of this schedule. (ii) Earth megger will be arranged by contractor and cost for the same is included in this item. (iii) Excvation,returning filling and removal etc are included in quoted rate for this item.

Repair/maintance and testing of earth resistance value of existing copper earthing by megger, and repair/replacement of copper strip where found corroded and if required providing common salt 25 KG and Charcoal dust 25 Kg per earthing as directed to achieve required earth resistance value below 2 Ohms complete all as directed. Note : - (i) Replacement of copper strip will be measured paid separately under relevant items of this schedule. (ii) Earth megger will be arranged by contractor and cost for the same is included in this item. (iii) Excvation,returning filling and removal etc are included in quoted rate for this item.

Repair/maintance and testing of earth resistance value of existing chemical earthing by megger, and repair/replacement of copper strip where found corroded and if required providing Isogel of Tercel or equivalent of Macmet or Erico, chemical earth enhancing compound 45 KG per earthing ( Set of three pit/three holes) as directed to achieve required earth resistance value below 1 Ohms complete all as directed. Note : - (i) Replacement of copper strip will be measured paid separately under relevant items of this schedule. (ii) Earth megger will be arranged by contractor and cost for the same is included in this item. (iii) Excvation,returning filling and removal etc are included in quoted rate for this item.

Supply and fix in repair Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8 mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head brass screws fixed with wall with post insulator complete all as specified and directed at site.
