Outsourcing services for providing security cover to the offices, stores, Furniture yard and E&M installation and places by deplyong (09) Nine Chowdikar as directed by Engineer-in-Charge/GE from time to time. The Chowkidars shall have to work 24 hours in three shifts of 8 hours duty each in day and night shifts. The chowkidars shall also assost om fore fogjtomg p[erations and should prevent unauthorised entry of person and encroachment by patrolling of surrounding area of MES offices at Kapurthala, Beas and Suranussi under GE (P) Kapurthala including prevention of unauthorised intrusion of personnel, material and regulating entry and exit of persons with respect to the area demarcated for the purpose. Security has to e provide round the clock on all the days at the above premises. Normally the timing of shift will be as follows:- (a) First shift - 06.00 AM to 02.00 PM (a) First shift - 02.00 PM to 10.00 PM (a) First shift - 10.00 PM to 06.00 AM

Notes :- (i) Contractor have to deploy 09 Nos of Chowkidars everyday in three shifts of 8 hours. Double shift of for any of the Chowkidar shall not be permitted. In case of such a deployment is noticed, it shall be viewed seriously and may result in cancellation of the contract. The chowkidar shall be rotated from one shift to another at proper frequency after one week or as determined by the department. The agency shall provide weekly off/holidays to its personnel as per statutory laws/labour laws but it will be the responsibility of the agency to provide replacements and ensure uninterrupted security services on all days on 24x7 basis. The agency shall ensure turnover of its Chowkidar in a period as determined by the department. (ii) An authorised official on the security agency shall make rounds and chekc his guards at least once in week or as directed by the department and make an entry in the register maintained for it alongwith department seal and the agency will employ and provide the requisite number of trained security guards not below the age of 18 years and who are medically and physically fit for the security job. The agency will also ensure that all the security guards are free form any infectious disease before depolyment for the work.

(iii) The antecidents of all the security personnel will be got verified from police by the agency before deployment for the work at the agency cost. The deparment reserves to conduct such independsent verification, if department chooses to conduct such independent verification. The agency shall provide complete continuous security measures througout the 24 hours by changing personnel in rotation or replacement. The firm will provide the high quality summer and winter uniform with name plate to security guards on his own expenses. It is the duty of the Security Guard to wear the neat and clean uniform alongwith the uniform belt, shoes, shocks, cap, cell torch, Rain coat etc. (iv) Incase of any security personnel is found unfit by the department, he has to be replaced by the security agency immediately. (v) Insurance and accident risks of the security personnel will be the responsibility of the agency. (vi) The Chowkidar will check and keep record of outgoing materials gorough gate pass signed by an authorised officer. (vii) The Chowkidar will kepp records/register of all persons who are required to sit/before/late office hours/attend office on Saturday/Sunday/holidays for official work. The security guard will obtain signatures of the employees concerned on the register maintained for the purpose.

(viii) The Chowkidar will report on day basis to the Engineer-in-Charge of security on daily reports and bring to notice of any untoward incidents/cases of theft/fire or accident in the premises immediately to the Engineer-in-Charge of security and also to take folow up action for the same immediately as ordered by the Engineer-in-Charge. (ix) The Chowkidar will maintain the visitors and staff movement record. (x) If any Chowkidar is found absent during duty timings, a penanlty of Rs 1200/- day shall be recovered from the RAR/final bill in addition to cost of any damage to equipment/installation building.
