REPAIRS TO JOINT FILLING, CRACK FILLING, PME OF RUNWAY, DISPERSALS, OTT/PTT AND ALLIED AREAS INCL OTHER RELATED B/R WORKS AT CERTAIN PLACES IN RUNWAY AT AF STN UDHAMUR

Raking out existing filling in expansion joints, construction joints, dummy joints upto 25mm depth including scrubbing of joints with diamond cutter machine(Heavy duty) or gas flame torch with heat application to complete remove existing sticking sealing compound / Bitumen Grade 'B' from the sides , top and bottom of joints and totally cleaning the top surface of joints with brush and finally fanning with compressed air to make the joints free from all loose materials i.e dirt/dust etc to entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge, applying with provision of bond breaker tape on bottom of joint and filling depth of joint with provision of polyethylene back up rod of suitable dia to ensure tight packing so that no gap or voides exist at the top of back up rod. The deteriorated edges of concrete joints (included upto 50mm either sides of the joints) shall be made good to true line with provision of polymer concrete. Joints (25mm to 30mm wide) shall be sealed with provision of polyurethane base sealant using Rallithane/Colpor-200 of M/S Fosroc chemical (India) Pvt Ltd/Seal N Flex 2K polyurethane joint sealant manufurered by BOSTIK INDIA PVT LTD and with primer N-49/SIKA and filling the joints with polyurethane based sealing compound as laid down in manufacturers instructions and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Minimum clear depth of sealant above back up Rod shall be10 mm complete all as specified and as directed. NOTES:-(i) Size of joints shall be made by cutting in case not available at site. (ii) If width of joints by cutting exceeds as specified above, the same shall be filled by polyrethane based sealant and no extra payment shall be made. (iii) Remaining depth at bottom (after keeping provision for back up Rod & sealant) shall be filled with sand and cost of same shall be deemed included in item rate quoted by tenderer. No extra payment for provisioning of sand (if any) shall be made. (iv) Masking tape shall be applied on edges of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant and shall be removed after filling with sealant. Cost of the same shall be deemed included in item rate quoted by tenderer. (v) Make of sealant shall be Rallithane/Colpor-200 of M/S Fosroc chemical (India) Pvt Ltd/Seal N Flex 2K polyurethane joint sealant manufurered by BOSTIK INDIA PVT LTD and with primer N-49/SIKA or approved make by E-in-C and filling the joints with polyurethane based sealing compound as laid down in manufacturers instructions including masking tape 40mm wide on both edges joint before filling the joint and removing the tape immediately after applying sealant, or equivalent as approved by Accepting Officer.(vi) Expansion joints, construction joints, dummy joints upto 25mm depth including scrubbing of joints with diamond cutter machine(Heavy duty) or gas flame torch with heat application to complete remove existing sticking sealing compound from the sides , top and bottom of joints and totally cleaning the top surface of joints with brush and finally fanning with compressed air to make the joints free from all loose materials ie dirt/dust etc to entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge

All as per srl item No 1 above but joints 31mm to 35mm wide and 10mm minimum clear depth of sealant above back up rod complete all as specified and as directed.

Repair to Popout sealant joints, corner spot hole in concrete slab by cutting chiseling heavy duty mechanical cutter side perpendicular to a minimum of 3 cm and cleaning off all loose or broken materials to a distance exc 250 mtr, cleaning and washing the surfaces with acid solution ( a mixture of hydrochloric acid and water in eual proportion @ 7 ltr per 10 square mtr) application of primer to dry surface of side and bottom and surface with Epoxy treatment resin mortar (mixture of Adralite GY-257 vantigo and adradur HY -840 vatigo with quarts sand) incl form work where required complete all as directed Note :- (a) where the thickness sizs more than 5 cm Epoxy resin mortar shall be applied in two layers. (b) Joints and brocken corners shall be cut by cutter and POP out /POP hole shall be cut by heavy duty mechanical cutter/chisel.Make.- Bostic/Pedilite/ Sika india Pvt Ltd or Equivalent in other E-in-C approved make.

Repair to broken surface of existing pavement/concrete slab by cutting chiseling manually/mechanical cutter side perpendicular to a minimum depth of 0 to 50mm and totally cleaning the surface with brush and finally fanning with compressed air to make the free from all loose materials i.e dirt/dust etc to entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge & all loose material trough a distance exc 250 mtr, cleaning and washing the surfaces applying primer as per manufacture instruction & fillingthe surface in self levelling polymerized elastomeric concrete EC (three component cold applied) prepared by mixing of 3.6 Kg of component A and 0.9 kg of component B with 5.5 Kg part C (sand + fibre) and properly mixing in purpose mde using drill and spiral mixing paddle machine to obtain a true surface with hand tools to obtain a grooved texture finish complete all as specified manufacturers instructions and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. MAKE of Polymerized elastomeric conrete:- Shall Patch EC by STP or equivalent in Pedilite// Sika india Pvt Ltd or approved make by E-in-C. Note :- (a) Masking & foring material shall be applied on edges to prevent accidental slippage of material and shall be removed after filling with material and cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in item rate quoted by tenderer. (b) Work shall be carried out through authorized applicator only & cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in item rate quoted by tenderer and nothing extre shall be admissible on his account.

M&L for repair to cracks of width 2 to 8 mm in flexible surfaces by cleaning of all cracks with air compressor and make it free from dust and applying evenly blown hot bitumen of grade 85/25 in two coats with necessary interval to ensure complete filling/total filling of the gap in line with existing pavement, finally dry coarse sand mixed with cement in 1:1 ratio sprinkled on top complete ensure uniform finish all as per manufacturers instruction and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Carrying out full depth cutting by diamond cutter machine of marked slab previous to demolition of slabs complete all as specified with provision of Generator as required. Note : Generator is to be used by the contractor to operate dimond cutter.

Demolition ofcement concrete of any description & in any position not otherwise specifically provided for (unreinforced) complete all as specified and as directed.

Removal of demolished materal as obtained from Item No - 7 above to up to 5 outside MOD land and depositing wheredirected.

Rolling and consolidation formation surfaces in cutting with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specifiedas as directed

Material and labour for Cement concrete type 1:4:8 D-2 75 mm thick (40 mm gradede stone aggregate) as in sub base of pavement of slab complete all as specified and as directed by Engr in Charge.

Supply and laying 400 micron thick, HPDE sheet (Virgin quality) water proof wrinkle free without puncture having minimum wt 390 gm/sqm over tack coat/sand cushion as specified in the design with overlap between adjacent strips and at transverse joints as min 300mm complete all as spd and as directed.

M&L for 10 mm thick Sand filling under Polythene film complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 250mm thick Cement concrete 1 : 2 : 4 type B-1 (20mm graded stone aggregate) as in hardstanding/flooring over sub base complete all as specified , spread and compacted by using screed vibrator all as specified including mixing of polyester triangular fibre @ 0.25% by weight of cement including necessary formwork, T & P for bull nosing , rounding of edges, and finishing the surfaces etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 150mm thick Cement concrete 1 : 2 : 4 type B-1 (20mm graded stone aggregate) as in hardstanding/flooring over sub base complete all as specified , spread and compacted by using screed vibrator all as specified including mixing of polyester triangular fibre @ 0.25% by weight of cement including necessary formwork, T & P for bull nosing , rounding of edges, and finishing the surfaces etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Finishing surfaces of quality concrete pavement by brooming with broom while concrete is green, complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only polyester made non circular fibres with cut length between 12-18 mm having tensile strength 300 Mpa, melting temperature minimum 250 degree celcius having specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39 with equivalent fibre diameter 15-40 micron @0.25 percent by volume in controlled cement concrete complete as specified and directed and as described in relevant PS clause. Note : The quantity of non circular fibre mentioned as @ 0.06 to 0.30 percent above may vary as per site requirement and / or design mix and / or as per any other test mandatory for runway work and measured and paid accordingly.

Forming 25mm thick expansion joints 230mm deep for quality concrete slab filled with compressive filler board HD-100 provision of closed cell polythene backup rod 30mm and sealed with pitch free polythiene grey sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 30mm and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after the sealant applied. The sealant will conform to MAF of +/- 30% with performance warantee of 5 years complete all as specified and directed by the GE.

Forming construction joint 10mm wide25mm deep for quality concrete slab using diamond cutter cleaning the complete joint and provision of closed cell polythene backup rod 12mm and sealed with 12mm (Min depth of above backup rod) including pitch free polythiene sealant confirming to BS 5212(Type FB) grade A priming the surface as recommended by manufacturers instruc tion and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after the sealant applied. The sealant will conform to MAF of +/- 30% with performance warantee of 5 years complete all as specified and directed by the GE.

Forming construction/dummy joints 6-8mm wide 65mm deep for quality concrete slab using diamond cutter cleaning the complete joint and provision of closed cell polythene backup rod 10mm and sealed with 12mm (Min depth of above backup rod) including pitch free polythiene sealant confirming to BS 5212(Type FB) grade A priming the surface as recommended by manufacturers instruc tion and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top of the surface to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after the sealant applied. The sealant will conform to MAF of +/- 30% with performance warantee of 5 years complete all as specified and directed by the GE.

M&L Scraping of grass shurbs, weeds, bushes, vegetation etc manually at ground level including removal of small irregularities in natural ground, stacking of spoil into heaps and removal of spoil exc 250 mtr and not exc 500 mtr and depsiting where directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Measurement for scrapping of grass shall be measured upto a max width of 75cm.

Labour only for totally cleaning the top surface with steel wire brush and finally fanning with compressed air to making the surface free from all loose materials i.e dirt/dust etc to entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge and applying cold polymeric bitumen emulsion (PME) mopping of total cold liquid PME ( minimum 1 ltr & maximum upto 2 ltr per sqm for two coats after dilution with 50% water ), each coat diluted in the ration 1:1 (PME: WATER) and ensure uniform finish of runway complete all as per manufacturers instruction and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. MAKE of PME :- M/S Hindustan colas ltd (Hincol), M/S Shell India Market Ltd Note:- The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for the items:- (a) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicator of the manufacturer only. (b) Care shall be taken to fill wider gaps/cracks with 0.6mm to 2.36mm size coarse sand as per manufacturers instruction. (c) Workman ship & quality of work is as per satisfaction of user & Engr-in-charge.

Supply only cold polymeric bitumen emulsion (PME). MAKE of PME:- M/S Hindustan colas Ltd (Hincol), M/S Shell India Market Ltd Note: a) Only undiluted quaintly will be measured under this item. b) The item will be used against quantity of PME requiredabover item No 21 c) All material deposited to AGE B/R office before work start. d) All empty drum also deposited AGE B/R office till complition of work.

Supply only fine aggragate (sand) dust free as approved by Engr-in-Charge.

Rough excavation not exc. 1.50m deep and getting out any type of soil complete all as specified.

Spreading and levelling earth/sand in layer n exc 25cm thick in layer complete al as specified and directed.
