Earth work in excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth. Kassi work undressed involving an average horizontal throw upto 2 meters, and an average vertical lift upto 0.5 meter including breaking of clods. Excavated earth may be reused on berms and disposed off surplus earth with all lead and lift including dressing complete in territorial as per direction of Engineer-in-charge will be incidental to work and nothing will be paid. Preparation of sub grade including trenching, rough dressing of spoil, final dressing of earth, to given levels and camber, watering, rolling with road roller, and compacting the bed (HSR 24.1) Note:- in widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller, Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.
Construction of embankment, shoulders and sub grade in widening of formation width 9.75 mtr. to 12.00 mtr with soil of minimum CBR 8 % (4 days soaked) of obtained from borrow area with any lead and lift transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305. The finished road surface will be as per X-section approved by engineer with respect to GTS. In case the quantity of earth work calculated with NSL and finished level found to be less than 69689.68 cum. Then actual quantity (less than 69689.68cum) will be paid. In case quantity worked out is more than 69689.68cum, then only 69689.68cum will be paid. Excess quantity shall be incidental to work and nothing extra will be paid. Further it shall be ensured that atleast 500 mm of sub grade with earth of CBR 8% shall be constructed at each location. Wherever any cutting of existing subgrade is required on this account excavation as well as handling and disposal of earthwork to accommodate minimum 500mm thick subgrade of minimum 8% CBR shall be carried out by the agency at his own cost. Nothing extra will be paid on this account. Before start of work, L-section shall be got approved from the employer with respect to GTS. However, typical X-section attached section-9 of DNIT. Note: If soil of CBR 8% is not available then the agency will do appropriate stabilization as per IRC –SP-89-2010 as approved by SE-in-Charge and nothing extra shall be paid on this account and it will be incidental to work. No earth work will be allowed from PWD land.

Providing & laying 70mm DBM using the reclaimed material to the extent of 30% per cent of the required quantity after carrying out necessary checks and evaluation, adding fresh material including rejuvenation as required, grade, level and thickness, all as specified in clause 519. (5th revision) 2013 using bitumen VG-30 (minimum Bitumen's 4.50% i/c bitumen of retrieved material as per job mix formula ) using 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant with appropriate arrangement for use of R.A.P, appropriate rollers and with hydraulic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade. If bitumen required more than 4.50% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be paid extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Note:- Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-Charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. Note:- Where there is DBM on existing black top , cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No. 3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work. Note :- Rate quoted for this item would be also include cost of reclaimed material being used in DBM as recovery rate per cum quoted by the contractor in Item No. 52 of BOQ
Providing & Laying 40 mm thick compacted Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and with pneumatic tyred roller of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of at least 0.56 MPA and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 507 MoRT&H specification (5th Revision) 2013 for road and bridge works (5th Revision)2013 using minimum 5.4% to bitumen grade CRMB-55 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects including cost of bitumen in0struction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification in mandatory. If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Note:- Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. Providing and marking centre line / side line 2.5 thick (minimum) with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint 10 Cms wide /15cm wide complete in all respects such as furnishing all labour, materials, tools, equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site conforming to the technical specification as clause No. 803 of MORT&H specification for road & bridge works (5th revision) of 2013 latest edition. Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/berger-signarc/prismo. The glass beads shall be of potters/sovietec/fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specification. The reflectrozing glass beads shll meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads. The method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS 3262 (Part-3). Note: Before start of work the contractor shall give brand, batch no. manufacturing date of the material to be used.
Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) double Molded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS molded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19+/-2 mm and height not less than 30+/- mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer (of reputed make such as Avery Dennison/3M/etc.)

(i) Providing and fixing of sign board on the gantry size 3.05m x 1.825m made out of retro-reflective sheeting of high intensity micro prismatic grade conforming to IRC 67-2012 type IV standards fixed on 4mm thick aluminum composite panels (ACP sheet) as base board with pressure-sensitive adhesive having 0.5mm thick aluminum on both sides. The messages (legends, letters, numerals etc.) and boarder’s retro reflective boards shall be of cut letters made in transparent overlay film pasted over the base sheeting with pressure sensitive adhesive or as instructed by the manufacturers of as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note:-1 work will be carried out as per MoRT&H specification for road and brides woks (5th revision). 2) Retro reflective boards sheeting of high intensity micro-prismatic grade confirming to IRC 67 -2017 type-IV standards shall be of Avery Dennison/3M make only. 3) warranty and durability as per clause 801.3.11 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision will be applicable which is reproduced as under:- He contractor shall obtain from the manufacturer a ten year warranty for satisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of the retro-reflective sheeting of micro prismatic sheeting and a seven year warranty for high intensity grade and submit the same to the Engineer, The warranty shall be inclusive of the screen printed or cut out letters/legends and their bonding to the retro-reflective she]eting. The contractor/supplier shall also furnish the LOT numbers and certification that ht sign and materials supplied against the assigned work meets all the stipulated requirements and carry the stipulated warranty and that the contractor/supplier is the authorized convertor of the particular sheeting. All signs shall be dated during fabrication with indelible markings to indicate the start of warranty. The warranty shall also cover the replacement obligation by the sheeting manufacturer as well as contractor for replacement/repair/restoration of the retro reflective efficiency. A certificate in original shall be given by the sheeting manufacturer that its officers retro reflective sheeting has been tested for various parameters such as co-efficient of retro-reflection, day/night time colour and luminance, shrinkage, flexibility, linear removal, adhesion, impact resistance, specular gloss and fungus resistance; the test shall be carried out by a Govt. laboratory in accordance with various ASTM procedures and the results must show that the sheeting has passed the requirements for all the above mentioned parameters. A copy of the test reports shall be attached with the certificate.
Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing brick work, bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under :- (i) Bituminous mix material @ Rs. 1231/- P.Cum NOTE:- If the agency does not fill/quote the rates of any item, then it will be considered as nil and the same item will be executed by the agency free of cost & it will be contingent to work. The agency have to give an undertaking on account of this, otherwise earnest money will be forfeited, in addition to this, he will be blacklisted.
