REPAIR/ MAINT OF HUMP REPAIR OF FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT OF RUNWAY AND REPAIR/ MAINT OF JOINT FILLING AT AIR CRAFT MANEUVERING AREA AT AF STN HASI MARA

Dismantling carefully cracked rigid surface of Runway/Taxi Track/patches by using mechanical cutter like diamond cutter, (average depth15- 60mm), sweeping, cleaning with compressed air blower, removal of all loose particles upto a distance exceeding 250m & n.exc 500m and filling with a mix of Epoxy Resin and Epoxy Hardner compound mixed thoroughly with quartz sand and silica powder in a proportion as specified by the approved manufacturer/make including applying a coat of Epoxy Resin on the finished top surface complete as per manufacturer's instruction, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for racking out construction joint of old existing sealant compound, backup rod and filler board of the existing joints any description 30mm to 40mm wide by special tools like racker/cutting blades/ machines, widening of joints by 2mm using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25-35mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, over it filled with closed cell type, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rods of 30-40mm dia. for complete length of the joint. After that Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before filled with with pitch free grey polyurethane sealant conforming to BS -5212, BS4254 and EN- 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor MAF of + 30 %. Minimum depth of the sealant above backup rod shall be 12-15mm and applying the masking tap on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tap after sealant is applied, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing of existing expansion joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 20 to 25 mm wide and 30 mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board if required, over it filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia for complete length of the joint and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 13mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 (for hydrolysis/water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF‡ 30 % (with Ten years performance guarantee) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Material obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be removed from out side MOD land.

M&L for excavating over areas, n. exc 1.5 m deep and getting out in hard/dense soil (flexible pavement), complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen emulsion SS1 confirming to IS:8887 at rate of application of 0.7-1 Kg/sqm on surface of WMM/WBM as spd in Table 500-3 of MORTH specification for road and bridge work 2013, using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing and consolidating 100mm thick premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC-1) using min 5.4% Elastomeric PMB 64-10 binder by weight of total mix, aggregate gradation as per bituminous concrete grading 1 of Table 500-17 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing and consolidating 40mm thick premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC-11) using min 5.6% Elastomeric PMB 64-10 binder by weight of total mix aggregate gradation as per bituminous concrete grading 2 of Table 500-17 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete all as specified and directed.
